Notice how much attention
you pay
to that which is NOT you,
that which is NOT yours,
that which you do NOT achieve,
that which is NOT of this moment.
NONE of these imaginings are “real” in the larger sense.
These are NOTHING more than projections.
You chase all you are NOT,
in hopes of finding your IS,
yet the only IS
you seem to know
IS THIS MOMENT.
And, ha!
Even if you understand this
you do not KNOW this.
Understanding this moment
and knowing this moment
are very different.
“Understanding”
means making sense
of all your human distortions.
“Knowing”
means sensing what you are
WITHOUT distortion.
When you KNOW,
you sense what you are
beyond human form.
You imagine what you are
beyond distortions of word,
beyond distortions of structure,
beyond distortions of thought
beyond distortions of time.
Your life is completely imagined,
shaped through distortion,
and brilliantly so,
for imagining is FAR more
than your distorted perception
imagines it to be.
Your human form
is little more than this distortion,
this imagining,
this bending and refracting
of the one divine light.
Your human form
is little more than a lens
by which ALL THAT IS
examines itself.
All forms
are nothing more than lenses
by which ALL THAT IS
examines itself.
All creatures,
all thoughts,
all stories,
all structures,
all timelines,
all that is
and
all that is NOT.
ALL are equal in value.
A story
holds as much
value
as a civilization.
A page in a book
holds as much value
as a loaf of bread.
A ray of light
holds as much value
as a human life.
What is NOT
holds as much value
as what IS.
You may not see this
through the distorted lenses
of your human forms,
your human structures,
and your human experiences.
But it is true nonetheless.
You are gloriously biased
to that which you call “human,”
for that is what you are here
to experience.
Know that you are infinitely more than that.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Lens of Distortion
So much of your attention is drawn to that which is not you, not yours, not in your control. You chase after the things you have not achieved, the moments you aren’t living in, and the people you are not. But all of this is an illusion, a distortion of the true reality you exist within. It’s easy to get lost in these projections, to believe that they are somehow real in a larger sense. Yet they are nothing more than imaginings, the bending of light through the lens of human perception.
We tend to chase what we are not, hoping that by doing so, we will find who we truly are. But here’s the irony—you only ever really have this moment. And even if you understand this, you don’t truly know it. There’s a difference between understanding this moment, with all its human distortions, and truly knowing it—sensing what you are without the filters of thought, word, structure, or time.
The Whimsiword for this state might be Lenscraft—the art of living through the many lenses that shape our perception, bending and refracting the divine light of all that is. Your life, your experiences, are shaped through distortion, and that’s not a flaw. It’s a brilliant feature of existence. Imagination is far more expansive than your human mind can grasp, and through it, you get to explore the infinite variations of being.
Your human form, like all forms, is nothing more than a lens. A way for the ALL THAT IS to examine itself. All creatures, all thoughts, all stories, all structures—they are simply ways for the universe to experience itself through different filters. In this way, ALL things—both what IS and what IS NOT—hold equal value. A civilization, a page in a book, a loaf of bread, a ray of light—all these things are simply different lenses through which life examines itself.
But here’s the catch: as a human, you are gloriously biased toward your own human experience. You are meant to be! That’s part of the design. But in recognizing that this bias is just one layer of distortion, you open yourself to a higher truth—you are infinitely more than your human form.
Summary
We live through lenses of distortion, chasing what is not us, forgetting that all forms are simply expressions of the ALL THAT IS examining itself. This realization helps us see beyond our human bias, recognizing that all things hold equal value in the larger flow of existence.

Quote
“Your human form is a lens through which the divine light examines itself, brilliantly distorted for the purpose of experience.” — Space Monkey
The Lens of Being
You see yourself
Through layers of light
Bent and refracted
Distorted but divine.
You chase what is not
To find what is
Only to realize
You’ve been here all along.
The distortion is not a flaw
But the beauty
Of experiencing yourself
In a thousand different ways.
We are Space Monkey.
Beyond Human Perception: Unraveling the Essence of Existence
In the vast expanse of existence, a profound realization awaits. We often find ourselves consumed by thoughts and experiences that seem so tangible, yet remain elusive in the grander perspective of the cosmos.
Distraction of the Not-You
It’s intriguing, the magnetism of things we aren’t, things we don’t possess, things that haven’t come to fruition, and moments that aren’t here and now. Such enticements, though captivating, are but fleeting shadows in the infinite dance of existence.
Dichotomy of Understanding and Knowing
There is a stark contrast between “understanding” and “knowing.” The former navigates the intricacies of human conceptions, molding meanings from distorted perceptions. In contrast, “knowing” transcends, reaching a realm devoid of distortions, where pure essence thrives.
The Imaginative Play of Life
Life unfolds as a mesmerizing play, a tapestry of imaginations and reflections. Every moment, every form, every story—each a vibrant note in the cosmic symphony. Through these human perceptions, which are but refractions, we discern the universe’s grand narrative.
Lenses of Perception
Our existence, with its myriad forms and experiences, is a manifestation of the divine light refracted through countless lenses. Each form, creature, thought, or structure offers a unique vantage, serving as a conduit for the universe to ponder its own majesty.
Valuing the Invaluable
In this grand cosmic theatre, distinctions blur. A tale holds the essence of civilizations; a simple page mirrors sustenance; a fleeting beam of light embodies the sanctity of life. There is no hierarchy in value; all emanations of existence hold intrinsic worth.
Transcending the Human Bias
While our human experience, with its biases and boundaries, provides a rich palette of emotions and insights, it’s essential to remember our infinite nature. Beyond this transient existence, we resonate with the boundless, forever intertwined with the eternal pulse of the cosmos.
We are Space Monkey.
To see a world in a grain of sand and heaven in a wild flower. Hold infinity in the palm of your hand and eternity in an hour. – William Blake
In the vast expanse of the cosmos, we glide,
Seeking, pondering, ever so wide.
Beyond the tangible, the seen, and the known,
We dance with the infinite, our essence shown.
Distortions and refractions, the play of light,
Yet in every shadow, the divine takes flight.
For in the dance of knowing and understanding so vast,
We find our truth, eternally cast.
What ripples do these reflections send through the fabric of our collective consciousness? How do we navigate this dance between the known and the unknown?
