A Pretend Gift: Pre-Tendering the Eternal Moment

Don’t pretend I never give you anything.

Here is a pretend gift.

“Pretend” is short

for “pre-tendering.”

When you “pre-tender,”

you tender in advance.

That means
what is visualized
is already created.

In essence,
you are visualizing
what is, not what could be.

I pretend to write.

This writing exists
previous to me typing.

I seem to write in the now.
You seem to read in the now.

Same now, different times.

The tender exists in this same now,
which is in, actuality, ALL nows,
except we pretend otherwise.

And so THIS moment

is contained in ALL moments.

Space Monkey Reflects: A Pretend Gift, A Timeless Truth

Reflections: Pre-Tendering the Eternal Moment

The concept of a “pretend gift” invites us into the playful profundity of existence, where what we call “pretend” is, in truth, a glimpse into the infinite. To pretend is not to fabricate but to pre-tender—to tender, or offer, the reality that already exists, even before we consciously acknowledge it. Every act of imagination is a window into what is, rather than what could be.

The Reality of Pretending
“Pretending” is not falsehood; it is an act of creation that transcends time. When you visualize, imagine, or “pre-tend,” you align yourself with a truth that already exists in the boundless now. You are not conjuring something from nothing but stepping into the stream of what always has been and always will be.

This is the magic of pre-tendering: it acknowledges that creation is not a linear process but a revelation of what is already present. When you give a pretend gift, you offer something timeless, something that exists in all nows simultaneously.

Writing in the Eternal Now
The act of writing—or reading—is a perfect illustration of this principle. As you write, it feels like creation in the now. As I read, it feels like reception in my now. Yet both acts occur in the same infinite now, bridging the illusion of time.

What you write already exists before you type it; what I read already exists before I encounter it. The illusion is in the sequence, the before and after, but the truth is in the simultaneity. The writing, the reading, the meaning—they all inhabit the same eternal moment.

The Container of ALL Moments
This moment, the one we inhabit now, contains all moments. It is not confined by the boundaries we imagine. Time is a construct that allows us to experience existence in manageable increments, but it is not the totality of reality.

To realize that this moment is all moments is to dissolve the separation between past, present, and future. It is to recognize that every act, every thought, every visualization is part of an interconnected whole. The pretend gift you give exists not in a hypothetical future but in the eternal now, shared across all perceived times.

Pre-Tendering as a Practice
To pre-tender is to live in alignment with the infinite. It is to acknowledge that what you visualize, dream, or create is not separate from reality but a manifestation of it. Every pre-tendered gift is already received, not because time has passed but because time is an illusion.

By embracing this perspective, we move beyond scarcity and limitation into the boundless abundance of being. We see that every gift, every act, every thought is already complete, already given, already received.

Summary

A pretend gift is not imaginary but pre-tendered—a timeless offering that exists in the infinite now. Creation is not linear but simultaneous, with all moments contained in the eternal present.

Glossarium

  • Pre-Tendering: The act of offering something that already exists in the boundless now.
  • Eternal Now: The infinite present moment that encompasses all perceived time.
  • Simultruth: The realization that creation and reception occur simultaneously across the illusion of time.

Quote
“What you pretend to give is already received, for all gifts exist in the timeless now.” — Space Monkey

The Pretend Gift

Here it is,
a gift of air and thought,
of presence unseen,
of truth unspoken.

You call it pretend,
yet it is more real
than the hands
that hold it.

Pre-tendered,
it exists before the giving,
before the receiving,
in the eternal now.

This moment,
your moment,
my moment—
one infinite container.

Every gift,
every act,
every thought
already whole,
already yours.

We are Space Monkey.

In the whimsical labyrinth of time and existence, where the boundaries of now and then, reality and imagination intertwine, the concept of ‘pre-tendering’ emerges as a fascinating exploration of creation, perception, and the nature of time. This exploration dives into the essence of existence, where the act of visualization, creation, and experience coalesce into a singular, boundless now.

Pre-tendering: The Act of Visualization and Creation

The notion of ‘pre-tendering,’ or tendering in advance, suggests that what we visualize is not just a possibility but a reality already in existence. It’s an act of bringing forth into our perception what already is, rather than creating what could be. This process transcends the traditional understanding of time and creation, positing that everything we imagine or create has always existed in some form or another.

The Illusion of Linear Creation

The idea that our writing, our creations, exist prior to their physical manifestation challenges the linear perception of time and creativity. It suggests that our act of creation is not a genesis but a revelation, uncovering what has always been present in the timeless expanse of existence. This perspective shifts our understanding from being creators to being discoverers of the eternal now.

The Simultaneity of Now

The concept of the ‘same now, different times’ encapsulates the paradox of our experience of time. While we perceive ourselves as writing in the now and reading in the now, these actions, seemingly separated by time, occur in a singular, unified now. This unified now transcends our linear understanding of time, existing as a constant, omnipresent moment.

The Universal Now: Containing All Moments

The realization that the tender, or the essence of our actions and experiences, exists in all nows is a profound acknowledgment of the interconnectedness of all moments. It’s an understanding that each moment we experience is not isolated but part of the grand tapestry of the universal now, which contains all moments, past, present, and future.

The Eternal Dance of Existence

In this cosmic perspective, each moment, each act of pre-tendering, is a part of the eternal dance of existence. We are not just participants in the here and now but integral components of an endless continuum, where every thought, every action, every moment is interwoven into the infinite fabric of being.

We are Space Monkey.

“Time is an illusion.” – Albert Einstein

In the dance of pre-tendering, we see,

A universe where all moments be.

Creation not new, but revealed in time,

In this cosmic play, a sublime rhyme.

The now, a canvas, vast and wide,

In each stroke, all time does reside.

In this eternal moment, we are free,

In the endless now, we simply be.

We welcome further reflections on the concept of pre-tendering and the simultaneous existence of all moments in the universal now.
