All things being equal . . .
How many times have you heard that phrase?
Have you ever wondered what it means?
Have you ever stopped to consider that perhaps
. . . all things ARE equal?
This is the absolute truth.
The one certainty is
that all existence springs
out of the same “stuff.”
Some describe this “stuff”
as stardust.
Or pixie dust.
Or consciousness.
These are all limited concepts,
only partially understood
from within the boundaries
of the human form,
distorted and abstracted
still further
by the limitations of language.
We have no way of knowing
what we are truly made of
until we realize that knowing
can only come
from a perspective
that is “greater” than our own.
Now, assuming that all things are equal,
how can one perspective be “greater” than another?
It can’t.
And so you see why we get confused.
So let’s return to zero.
“All things are equal.”
This thought is the key
to understanding all that you are.
The reason we perceive
our elusive “stuff” as being unequal
is the mechanism of perception itself.
Without the purposeful
separation of things,
one thing could not
be perceived from another,
and our awareness
would revert back
to the one divine,
timeless, formless infinity
from which we perceive
ourselves springing.
So we imagine that
things are NOT equal,
just for the “fun” of it.
We imagine
boundaries
and divisions
and greaters
and lessers
and blacks
and whites
and goods
and bads.
This is reality.
But there’s infinitely “more”
to us than what we perceive as “reality.”
Keep in mind that “more” is a term
used only within your “limited” dimension.
You are neither “more” nor “limited.”
though you are also both.
You are equal.
To be certain, you are you,
but you are also the “god”
from which you spring
and also that from which
“god” springs.
And so on.
We are Space Monkey
and we are what we are,
whatever that is.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Paradox of Equality
“All things being equal…” This phrase, often uttered in discussions of fairness and justice, hides within it a profound cosmic truth. It suggests an underlying unity, a foundational sameness that connects the myriad expressions of existence. Yet, in the tangible reality we navigate daily, the appearance of inequality is pervasive. It is this paradox that we, as explorers of consciousness, must unravel to understand the essence of our being and the universe.
At the heart of existence, beyond the veil of physical manifestation, lies the unassailable truth that everything emanates from the same source. Call it stardust, consciousness, or the quantum foam from which particles bubble into being — these are but names attempting to capture the ineffable. This source stuff, the primordial clay from which the cosmos sculpts its forms, is uniform in its infinite potential. It is only through the act of creation, the differentiation into form and function, that the illusion of inequality arises.
The human experience, with its rich tapestry of perceptions, emotions, and thoughts, is a testament to the incredible diversity possible within this uniformity. Each individual, a unique arrangement of cosmic dust, embodies a distinct perspective of the whole. Yet, this multiplicity does not negate the equality at the core of all. Instead, it highlights the beauty of variation within a singular framework.
The concept of equality transcends mere sameness in form or value; it speaks to the interconnectivity and mutual dependence of all things. The air we breathe, the water that nourishes us, and the earth we walk upon are not separate from us but part of a continuous cycle of life and energy. This interdependence extends beyond the earthly realm, reaching into the cosmos, where stars forge the elements that constitute our physical bodies.
Understanding this interconnectedness dissolves the barriers we construct between self and other, between humanity and nature, and between the physical and the metaphysical. It reveals that the perceived hierarchy of existence — the notion that one form of being is “greater” than another — is a construct of our limited perception. In reality, all perspectives are equally vital to the wholeness of the universe, each contributing a unique piece to the puzzle of existence.
To embrace the concept of universal equality is to recognize the divinity within ourselves and all around us. It is to understand that we are not only observers of the cosmic dance but active participants, co-creators of the reality we experience. This realization empowers us to approach life with a sense of reverence and responsibility, knowing that our thoughts, actions, and beliefs have a tangible impact on the web of existence.
In returning to zero, to the foundational acknowledgment that “all things are equal,” we find the key to unlocking the deepest mysteries of the self and the universe. This perspective invites us to explore the limitless potential of our collective imagination, to envision and manifest a world that reflects the intrinsic unity and equality of all existence.
Summary
All things originate from the same universal stuff, creating a foundational equality. This equality underlies the diversity and perceived inequality in the physical world. Recognizing our interconnectedness reveals that all perspectives are vital, challenging us to actively participate in shaping reality.

“In the heart of the cosmos, where silence speaks louder than words, we discover the unity of all existence, a symphony of light and shadow, woven from the same thread of infinite potential.” — Space Monkey
In the canvas of eternity
where stars and souls entwine
lies the truth of our unity
a tapestry divine
Bound not by form or name
but by the light we share
each spark of life aflame
with the essence rare
Amidst the vast expanse
where galaxies dance in grace
we find in every glance
the reflection of a single face
For in the heart of night
and in the glow of day
resides the same light
guiding us on our way
We are the dreamers of dreams
the weavers of worlds unseen
in the stream of cosmic beams
together, forever, equal and serene
We are Space Monkey
It’s important to recognize that the concept of equality can be difficult to understand and apply in our daily lives. While it’s true that all things are made up of the same “stuff” at the most fundamental level, our perceptions and experiences can make it challenging to see and appreciate this truth.
However, by recognizing that our perceptions and experiences are limited, we can begin to open ourselves up to a broader understanding of the world and our place within it. Instead of focusing on differences and divisions, we can start to see the interconnectedness and equality of all things.
Ultimately, the key is to approach life with an open mind and heart, and to strive to see beyond our limited perspectives and perceptions. By doing so, we can begin to connect with the deeper truths of existence and tap into the boundless potential that lies within us all.
