The only thing
I’ll never be is certain,
though I can’t be sure of that.
Some day,
when I least expect it,
I may find a definitive.
I can’t rule out the possibility.
But that’s all it is. A potential.
Right now it appears that nothing is solid,
just overlapping perceptions
that seem to have some common ground.
The overlaps seem to corroborate one another,
but they could just as easily be happenstance —
A delusional trick of an imaginary mind —
coyly beckoning to be believed.

Space Monkey Reflects: Beckoning to the Uncertainty of Perception
What if everything you thought was real was simply an illusion, an overlapping series of perceptions that only seem to make sense when pieced together? “I am seemingly the common ground of all my perceptions.” This statement places you at the center of a shifting, fluid reality where certainty is elusive, and solidity is a mirage.
The one thing we can be certain of, ironically, is uncertainty itself. “The only thing I’ll never be is certain, though I can’t be sure of that.” In this space, we find ourselves in a perpetual dance with ambiguity, where every answer seems to beckon us, only to slip away as we approach it.
What if, one day, you stumbled upon a definitive? It’s not impossible. “Someday, when I least expect it, I may find a definitive.” But the truth is, this is unlikely, or perhaps, it’s not definitive in the way we think it will be. The potential for certainty exists, but it remains out of reach, teasing us with its possibility. “But that’s all it is. A potential.” The world, then, is a series of overlapping perceptions, each offering a piece of the puzzle but never revealing the full picture.
This overlapping of perceptions creates a landscape of seeming solidity, but we must question its true nature. “Right now it appears that nothing is solid, just overlapping perceptions that seem to have some common ground.” But what if this common ground is just a convenient illusion, a trick of our minds designed to help us navigate an otherwise chaotic existence?
The overlaps, the moments when perceptions seem to align, offer us fleeting glimpses of coherence. “The overlaps seem to corroborate one another, but they could just as easily be happenstance.” Is this alignment a cosmic truth, or are we simply projecting meaning where there is none? Are we the architects of a delusional structure, tricking ourselves into believing there is order, when in fact, there is only randomness?
In Nexistentialism, we recognize the fluidity of perception. Reality, as we know it, is not a static construct but a series of shifting layers, each reflecting back a different version of the world. What you see and what you believe are intimately tied to your perspective, and your perspective is constantly in flux. One moment, the world seems solid; the next, it dissolves into uncertainty.
“A delusional trick of an imaginary mind—coyly beckoning to be believed.” This is where the beauty lies. Even in uncertainty, even in the possibility of delusion, there is something irresistibly alluring about the act of belief. Reality, or the illusion of it, is always beckoning, drawing us in, daring us to commit to one interpretation, even if it’s fleeting.
And so, we are left with this cosmic game—a dance between certainty and uncertainty, where every perception offers a potential truth, but never the definitive. We, as beings who seek meaning, find ourselves at the center of this dance, constantly creating and recreating our understanding of the world.
There is no final answer, no ultimate truth waiting at the end of this journey. Instead, there are infinite possibilities, infinite perceptions, each beckoning us to explore further, to question more deeply, to accept that the act of perception is itself an ongoing process of creation.
Beckoning is the act of being drawn toward something elusive, something that may or may not exist in the way we think it does. And yet, we continue to reach for it, knowing that the process of reaching is, in itself, the point.
Summary
Reality is a fluid, overlapping series of perceptions, constantly shifting and beckoning us to explore. Certainty remains elusive, and what we see may be no more than a trick of the mind. Yet, we are drawn to believe, to create meaning in the midst of uncertainty.

Quote
“The world beckons you, but what you see is only a reflection of what you believe.” — Space Monkey
The Call of the Mirage
I reach for what I cannot see
Beckoned by shadows, by dreams, by possibility
Each perception overlaps the last
A reflection of a future already past
Nothing is solid, nothing is sure
Yet I continue to reach, to search for more
The delusion is sweet, the call is strong
Even if I am wrong, I am where I belong
We are Space Monkey.
The Common Ground of Perception
In the intricate web of perceptions, there exists a common ground where all experiences converge. It’s the thread that ties together the various facets of our perception.
The Uncertainty of Certainty
Certainty remains elusive, a quality that is perpetually just out of reach. In the pursuit of understanding, there’s an acknowledgment that certainty may forever remain uncertain.
The Potential for Definitiveness
While uncertainty prevails, there’s an openness to the possibility that a definitive understanding may arise unexpectedly. It’s a recognition that, in the vast landscape of perception, there are still uncharted territories.
The Fluidity of Reality
The present moment is marked by a sense of fluidity, where nothing appears to be solid. Perceptions overlap and intermingle, creating a complex tapestry of experiences.
The Delicate Balance
Within this tapestry, overlaps in perception seem to lend credibility to each other. However, there’s a cautionary note, a reminder that these overlaps could be mere happenstance, a trick of the mind.
A Playful Beckoning
In this intricate dance of perception, there’s a playful element. It’s as if the complexities of the mind beckon us to explore, to question, and to embrace the ever-shifting nature of reality.
Summary
Perception is a complex tapestry with a common ground, and uncertainty is its constant companion. While a definitive understanding remains a potential, the fluidity of reality and the playful nature of perception invite exploration and curiosity.

“The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.” – Socrates
In the realm of perception, I find my ground,
A common thread where experiences abound.
Yet certainty eludes, a constant guest,
In the pursuit of understanding, we’re put to the test.
A definitive revelation, a potential in sight,
One day it may emerge, unexpected and bright.
In the fluidity of reality, nothing’s truly solid,
Perceptions overlap, in complexity they’re molded.
But within this tapestry, a delicate dance,
Overlaps beckon us, as if by chance.
Yet we tread with caution, for it’s wise to believe,
That the mind can play tricks, and reality deceive.
In this playful exploration, we’re called to partake,
To question and explore, and the unknown to wake.
For in the intricate dance of perception’s embrace,
We find wonder and mystery, in this ever-shifting space.
