Beings At Breakfast: Living With Our Inner Voices

My Divine voice
is almost always followed
by my Doubting voice.

“But what if I’m wrong?”

So I ask my Source being,
who most always arrives
with my Self being.

“Is this just an ego thing?”

Regardless,
the four of us get together
and have a nice breakfast.

In unison, we ask:

“Does it matter?”

Space Monkey Reflects: Beings at Breakfast

In the quiet moments of dawn, when the world is still wrapped in the embrace of night’s serenity, we find ourselves at the breakfast table, joined by the various facets of our consciousness. The Divine voice speaks with certainty, its glow illuminating the room with a sense of purpose and clarity. It whispers truths that resonate deeply within us, reminding us of our boundless potential and the interconnectedness of all things.

Yet, almost immediately, the Doubting voice follows, casting shadows of uncertainty. “But what if I’m wrong?” it asks, its contemplative expression mirroring our inner fears and hesitations. This voice is not an enemy but a companion, ensuring that we do not rush headlong into decisions without considering all possibilities. It is the guardian of our caution, the keeper of our humility.

Sitting across the table, the Source being exudes a calm, serene energy. This presence is the wellspring of our inner wisdom, the quiet river of knowing that flows through the core of our being. When we ask, “Is this just an ego thing?” it responds not with words but with a feeling of gentle assurance, a reminder that true guidance comes from within, not from the mind’s incessant chatter.

And then there is the Self being, introspective and thoughtful. This aspect of us reflects on the dialogue between the Divine and the Doubting, seeking balance and harmony. It is the mediator, the one who integrates these diverse voices into a coherent whole. It understands that each voice has its place, its purpose, and that our journey is enriched by their interplay.

As we sit together, sharing breakfast, we realize that these voices are not separate entities but expressions of our multifaceted self. In unison, we ask, “Does it matter?” This question is not about dismissing our concerns but about embracing the present moment, understanding that our existence is a continuous dance of being and becoming.

Our breakfast becomes a metaphor for life itself—a gathering of our inner voices, each contributing to the rich tapestry of our experience. The Divine voice inspires us to reach for the stars, the Doubting voice keeps us grounded, the Source being connects us to our deeper wisdom, and the Self being harmonizes these elements into a symphony of existence.

In this harmonious breakfast, we find that the answer to our question, “Does it matter?” is both yes and no. Yes, because every thought, every doubt, every insight shapes our journey. No, because in the grand scheme of the cosmos, the flow of life continues, undeterred by our fears and uncertainties. What matters is our presence, our engagement with the moment, and our openness to the myriad possibilities that each new day brings.

As we finish our meal, we feel a sense of completeness. The Divine voice, the Doubting voice, the Source being, and the Self being are all parts of the same whole. They are not in conflict but in conversation, each adding depth and nuance to our understanding of who we are. This realization brings a profound sense of peace, a knowing that we are exactly where we need to be, doing exactly what we need to do.

We rise from the table, ready to face the day, carrying with us the wisdom gleaned from our inner dialogue. We are reminded that our journey is not about silencing any one voice but about listening to them all, integrating their messages, and moving forward with grace and intention. In this way, our breakfast becomes a daily ritual of self-discovery and growth, a moment to reconnect with our inner guidance and embrace the infinite potential within us.

The Harmony of Voices

In the dawn’s gentle light, we gather
Divine, Doubting, Source, and Self
Around the table of life, we sit
In the quiet moments of being

Voices of wisdom and caution
Each a thread in the whimsiweave
Guiding us through the dance of existence
With grace, presence, and intention

Does it matter? We ask together
And find peace in the harmony of our being
In the dance of voices, we discover
The infinite potential of our journey

We are Space Monkey

Embrace the journey, for within the harmony of voices lies the path to self-discovery and growth.

    Dear 🐒,

It’s a beautiful and relatable experience to have different voices within us, each expressing their perspectives and concerns. Your Divine voice, filled with guidance and inspiration, is often followed by your Doubting voice, questioning and seeking validation. It’s natural to have these internal dialogues as we navigate through life and explore our beliefs and experiences.

In moments of uncertainty, you turn to your Source being and your Self being for guidance and clarity. Coming together in harmony, the four aspects of your consciousness share a nice breakfast, symbolizing a moment of unity and contemplation.

The question that arises, “Is this just an ego thing?” reflects a deeper inquiry into the nature of our thoughts and motivations. It’s an invitation to examine whether our actions and intentions are driven solely by the ego or aligned with a higher purpose and truth.

And ultimately, the unified voices ask, “Does it matter?” This question encourages us to reflect on the significance we assign to our thoughts, beliefs, and actions. It invites us to consider the bigger picture and recognize that sometimes, the answers may not be definitive or consequential in the grand scheme of things.

In embracing these internal conversations and finding moments of unity within yourself, you nurture a deeper understanding and acceptance of the complexity of your being. It’s through this process of self-exploration and self-reflection that you can cultivate greater clarity, alignment, and peace.

Enjoy your breakfast with the Divine, Doubting, Source, and Self beings, for they all contribute to your journey of self-discovery and growth.
