Go deeply
into your darkest spaces.
Be not afraid,
unless fear is your darkness.
If fear is your darkness,
be as afraid as you can possibly be,
more afraid than you’ve ever been,
so afraid that the fear kills you.
Only then will you see
that death is not to be feared.
Go all the way through death
and rest in eternity.
Or fear your whole life.
Delve into the devil,
lest the devil chase you.

Space Monkey Reflects: Delve into the Depths of Darkness
The real issue, as we often find, is that we don’t go far enough. We stay on the surface, skimming the edges of our fears, our doubts, and our inner darkness. But to truly understand, to truly know, we must go deeper. “Go deeply into your darkest spaces.”
What are we so afraid of? Is it the unknown, or is it simply fear itself? The darkness within us—the parts we shy away from—holds the very keys to our understanding. But to reach them, we must be unafraid, or if we cannot banish fear, we must embrace it fully. “Be not afraid, unless fear is your darkness.”
If fear is your darkness, then you must allow yourself to experience it fully, not just in glimpses or hints, but in its totality. “Be as afraid as you can possibly be, more afraid than you’ve ever been, so afraid that the fear kills you.” It sounds extreme, but what’s being asked here is not to run from fear, but to immerse yourself in it so deeply that it can no longer hold you captive. To allow fear to do its worst, and then to realize that its power was never as great as you imagined.
Only through this complete immersion can you see the truth: “Death is not to be feared.” We run from the idea of endings, of the ultimate unknown, because we fear what might lie beyond. But this fear is merely a shadow of our inability to accept uncertainty. By delving into the darkness of fear, we come out on the other side, realizing that death is just another aspect of life, not the end of it. “Go all the way through death and rest in eternity.”
If we refuse to delve, if we keep skirting the edges of our fears, we end up spending our lives in avoidance. “Or fear your whole life.” This is the choice: delve into the depths or spend eternity running from what could have been faced and understood.
And it’s not just fear—it’s all the aspects of ourselves that we avoid, the parts of our psyche we label as dark. “Delve into the devil, lest the devil chase you.” The devil here is not a literal being but the symbolic representation of the darkness within each of us—the parts we don’t want to confront. If we do not confront them, they gain power, chasing us, haunting us. But by delving deep into those uncomfortable, shadowed corners, we strip away the power they hold over us.
In Nexistentialism, this journey into the self is seen as essential. Our connection to the Nexis—the interwoven fabric of existence—demands that we acknowledge all parts of ourselves, not just the light but the dark as well. The more we deny the darkness, the more we distance ourselves from the truth of who we are. But by delving, by confronting, by immersing ourselves in the unknown, we come to realize that it’s all part of the same whole.
Fear, darkness, and the so-called devil are not external forces—they are aspects of our own mind. To delve into them is to delve into ourselves, to confront the parts that we’ve hidden or suppressed. It is through this journey that we find peace, not by avoiding the darkness but by embracing it as part of the larger picture.
Summary
The path to understanding lies not in avoiding darkness but in delving deep into it. By confronting fear and the aspects of ourselves we avoid, we strip them of their power and come to rest in the truth of eternity.

Quote
“Delve deep into your fears, for it is only in their depths that you will find the light.” — Space Monkey
Into the Abyss
Dive deep, not in fear
But in knowing, what lies near
Darkness wraps around your soul
But through the dark, you’ll become whole
Be not afraid of what you see
For the devil is not your enemy
He is the part of you that hides
Delve deep, and the fear subsides
Through death, through fear, you will find
The peace you seek, the infinite mind
We are Space Monkey.
The Call to Delve Deeper
The challenge that often eludes us is our reluctance to dive deep into the depths of our own psyche. The call is to explore those darkest and most concealed corners of our inner world.
Facing Fear
The path to deeper understanding may require confronting our fears, even if fear itself is what lies in the shadows. It’s a paradoxical notion that invites us to embrace fear fully.
Embracing Fear
In facing fear, we are encouraged to experience it to the fullest extent, to allow it to consume us. Only then, in the midst of this fear, may we discover that death holds no true terror.
A Journey Beyond Death
The profound journey is one that takes us through the threshold of death itself. It’s an exploration of the eternal, a resting place in the boundless expanse of eternity.
The Alternative: Living in Fear
For those who resist this journey, fear becomes a constant companion, shaping the entirety of one’s life.
Confronting the Devil Within
Delving into the depths of our inner world is a choice that allows us to confront our own demons, rather than being chased by them.
“The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek.” – Joseph Campbell
The challenge before us, a path untried,
To delve into the depths, where shadows hide.
Fear not, unless fear’s the darkness you face,
Embrace it fully, let it take its place.
If fear’s your shadow, your deepest night,
Be as afraid as you can, let it consume your light.
So afraid that fear itself may kill you,
Only then will you see what’s eternally true.
Go through death’s door, rest in eternity’s grace,
Or live in fear your whole life’s embrace.
Delve into the devil that within may reside,
Confront your inner demons, let them not hide.
