Greenland, Iceland & The Camouflage of Words

Greenland, Iceland & The Camouflage of Words

You’ve probably heard how the names of Greenland and Iceland were swapped in order to hide their true nature. Basically just a Viking PR move. Even now, I still picture Greenland as green and Iceland as icy, even though the opposite is true.

In essence, these territories are camouflaged by words.

Most of what we view as “reality” is influenced not by the actual nature of things (if there even is such a thing) but by the concepts we believe. Our realities are shaped by our conditioning, meaning, in this case, that we only travel down pathways that we believe are logical. This leads us to “conclusions” that are also logical.

That’s why our lives as humans seem so damn logical. We construct our realities so that we can create a logical story out of ANY condition we find ourselves in.

Little do we know that the larger territory of the eternal soul exists OUTSIDE of human logic. We cannot comprehend this because our Greenlands are Green and our Icelands are Icy, which is, of course, NOT absolutely true.

At the root of our purposeful misconception is our concept of space, emptiness, nothingness.

These infinite concepts can be difficult to wrap our infinitesimal “brains” around, so we reduce them down until they seem logical to us. We use only the parts that fit our stories, and ignore the vast potential of actuality.

Indeed, there is a “logical” component to space, which we use to realize our realities, but again, that is just an infinitesimal “portion” of what space points to.

The same goes for “nothingness,” and “empty.” These are all vast potentials camouflaged by “logical” words and concepts. Miraculously, however, we still sense there’s something more, for the idea of nothing is still an enigma that science is yet to explain sufficiently, except within the bubble that is realized after centuries of “reasoning.”

So we’re in this bubble in the middle of nowhere, and we have not yet realized our capacity to comprehend what lies beyond it. Little do we know that space (Actual Space) is also within our little bubble. Space (Actual Space) is within EVERYTHING, including the camouflage of space that hides its true meaning.

In actuality, space is not just measure. It is not just volume. It is not just distance. It is not at ALL empty.

Actual Space does NOT separate.

Actual Space is potential — the potential of everything that ever was, is, will be, might be, and won’t be — and infinitely more. Actual Space contains (actually IS) every detail that is realized as every moment of every day — and infinitely more.

So you can go on believing that space is simply the empty cavern between Paul Tedeschi’s ears. Let this be your Iceland.

But as for us, we are not simply FROM Space.

We ARE space, monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Camouflage of Words and the Reality of Space

The intriguing story of Greenland and Iceland serves as a metaphorical lesson on the power of names and perceptions in shaping our view of the world. This Viking PR move, a strategic naming to mislead and control perceptions, illustrates a broader principle: our realities are often dictated more by the words and concepts we adopt than by the inherent nature of things.

In a broader context, this concept extends to how we perceive and interact with the idea of space itself. We often think of space as merely a physical dimension—emptiness, a void waiting to be filled, or a mere backdrop to the drama of existence. However, this perspective is limited; it’s a simplification that fits neatly into human understanding but fails to capture the vast, intrinsic potential of space.

Space, in its true essence, is not empty but teeming with potential—it is the canvas of existence, the field in which all possibilities play out. It’s not just the physical gaps between stars or the pauses between words in a sentence, but the very fabric of reality that connects and pervades everything.

Space Monkey, with its unique cosmic perspective, understands that we, too, are manifestations of this vast spatial potential. The phrase “We are space, monkey” is not just a clever play on words but a profound acknowledgment that space is not something external to us; we are integrally part of it, composed of the same potential that forms stars and galaxies.

The misconception of space as empty or inert is a camouflage, much like the names of Greenland and Iceland. It simplifies something infinitely complex to make it comprehensible to our finite minds. By recognizing space as a dynamic, integral part of existence—filled with energy, matter, potential, and possibility—we begin to see beyond the camouflage and appreciate the true complexity and vibrancy of the universe.

Summary

The story of Greenland and Iceland serves as a reminder of how our perceptions are shaped by the words and concepts we use. By reevaluating our understanding of space, we can move beyond simplistic notions of emptiness and nothingness to embrace a view of space as a rich tapestry of potential that is an active, integral part of our existence.

Glossarium

  • Camouflage of Words: The use of language to shape perceptions and obscure the true nature of things.
  • Actual Space: A concept of space that goes beyond physical dimensions to include the inherent potential and interconnectedness of all existence.

“In the realm where names shape worlds, remember that true understanding requires seeing beyond words to the essence that unites us all.” – Space Monkey

In the dance of names,
where Greenland might seem green,
lies a lesson deep,
in what is and what’s seen.

Space, not just a void,
but a cradle of dreams,
holds the whispers of cosmos,
in its unseen seams.

Beneath the camouflage of words,
where ’empty’ is ‘full’,
and ‘nothing’ teems with life,
lies the universe’s pull.

So, let us not be fooled
by the simplicity of terms,
for within every empty space,
infinity burns.

We are not just in space,
we are of it, we thrive,
in the vast dance of existence,
where all potentials are alive.

We are Space Monkey, exploring
beyond the visible and known,
finding in the camouflaged void,
the seeds of truth sown.
