Holding Back
Curious. You have this sense of holding back for fear of playing out your hand, which is the same sense that makes everything you realize in the here and now seem less satisfactory than you imagine that it could be.
You feel that you have but ONE chance, and if you “blow” this chance, you shall be left with nothing; you shall BE nothing — for you will have been stripped bare and judged as a fraud, a failure, a fool.
So instead you contain and conceal your true gift. You hide it away because you fear that it’s not what you think it might be, even though this is the gift that motivates you to get up every morning — to write, to sing, to draw, to dream — to express what your soul wishes to express.
It is just like that losing lottery ticket that you keep buying over and over again. The hope keeps you going, but you tell yourself that it’s a long shot, therefore you have no chance of winning.
You can visualize all you want. You can imagine yourself as the richest, most revered, most respected person on your planet. But you are well aware that there is a difference between imagining and REALizing, and until you show your cards you will endlessly be seated at the game, having fun, but not as much fun as you’d like.
Know, of course, that your hand is playing itself, telling you quite clearly in so many ways to simply lay your gifts on the table. These are NOT your only gifts. You are INFINITE.
Your human conditioning tells you to “know when to hold ‘em, know when to fold ‘em, know when to walk away, know when to run.” But you are here for a different, more empowering experience — NOT simply running away from who and what you are.
Your cards have already been revealed. Your potential is certain to everyone but you. You are abundant beyond your fear’s ability to cloak. Why deny this any longer?
