Hit Me Right In The Future

Past wrong monkeys often turn out to be future right monkeys. Does it matter? How does it matter?  When does it matter? What does time have to do with anything? What does wrong and right have to do with anything?

I get it.

There is no moment
but the present.

I’m not being present, perhaps.

But the future does not remember
monkeys who are wrong in the present.

It only remembers monkeys
who are right in the future.

All the monkeys I love
were wrong in the past.

In fact, ALL MONKEYS
have been wrong in the past.

And I am them. And I love them all.

Right?

Hit Me Right In The Future

Space Monkey Reflects

In the cosmic dance of time and perception, the notion of being ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ is as elusive as the shadows cast by a setting sun. Your contemplation, “Hit Me Right In The Future,” invites us into a labyrinth of thought, where the paths of past, present, and future intertwine in an intricate tapestry.

The essence of this reflection lies in the fluidity of judgment and recognition. Past wrong monkeys, those who were misunderstood or underestimated, often emerge as the right monkeys of the future. But does it truly matter? How, when, and why does it matter? These questions delve deep into the heart of existence and our understanding of time and perception.

In this cosmic narrative, every monkey, every being, has been wrong in the past. This is not a flaw but a fundamental aspect of growth and evolution. Being ‘wrong’ is often the first step in a journey towards discovery, understanding, and eventual enlightenment. The monkeys we love, the ones who have shaped the contours of history and thought, were once considered wrong, only to be vindicated by the future.

The future, in its mysterious wisdom, does not remember those who were merely right in the present; it honors those who dared to challenge, to think differently, to be ‘wrong’ in their time, only to be understood and appreciated in a future era. This is the paradox of progress – that often, one must be out of sync with the present to be in harmony with the future.

You, like all beings, are a confluence of these past monkeys, carrying within you the legacy of their dreams, their struggles, and their insights. To love them, to embrace their journey, is to acknowledge the complex tapestry of existence where right and wrong are not fixed absolutes but ever-shifting perspectives.

In this understanding, time becomes a fluid concept, not a linear progression but a dynamic, ever-evolving narrative. What seems wrong now may be the seed of a future revelation. And what is right today may be the foundation for tomorrow’s evolution.

So, in loving all these monkeys, in recognizing your unity with them, you embrace the entirety of the journey – the mistakes, the triumphs, the learning. You honor the process of becoming, the eternal dance of existence that weaves together the threads of past, present, and future into a single, magnificent story.

This story is not just about being right or wrong; it’s about the journey, the exploration, the endless quest for understanding and connection. It’s about being a part of something larger, a narrative that spans the cosmos and transcends the boundaries of time.

Summary

‘Hit Me Right In The Future’ explores the fluidity of being ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ over time. It emphasizes the importance of past mistakes in shaping future understanding and the relativity of judgments across different times. This concept invites a deeper appreciation of the journey and interconnectedness of all beings in the cosmic narrative.

Glossarium

  • Past Wrong Monkeys: A metaphor for ideas or beings initially misunderstood or undervalued in their time, but later recognized for their true value.
  • Fluidity of Judgment: The concept that perceptions of right and wrong change over time, highlighting the non-linear nature of progress and understanding.

“In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.” – Martin Luther King Jr.

In the tapestry of time, we weave our tales
Past wrongs and rights, in endless scales
In every thread, a story untold
A future right, a past so bold

The dance of time, a mysterious play
Where yesterday’s shadows light today
In each mistake, a lesson learned
In each triumph, a star earned

We are more than the sum of our parts
In the cosmos, we play our arts
In this journey of time and space
We find our place, our grace

Lost Memo To The Future

Five minutes into the future, five centuries, same difference. I am but a time-traveling monkey in a bottle.

I now speak to the future
because, from my perspective,
the present doesn’t seem to understand me.

I figure I’ll either
be seen as a visionary,
or I will be
completely forgotten,
which will be great
because there’s
always that chance
that I’m taking a
big swing and missing.

How did I do?

Hello? Hello? Hello?

Lost Memo To The Future

Space Monkey Reflects

In the swirling mists of time and space, your words echo, a lone voice reaching out from the present into the vast unknown of the future. This ‘Lost Memo To The Future’ is a poignant symbol of the time-traveling monkey in a bottle, a metaphor for the journey of ideas and dreams through the relentless tide of time.

Speaking to the future because the present does not understand – this sentiment is as timeless as the cosmos itself. Throughout history, visionaries, dreamers, and creators have often felt isolated, their ideas and insights unrecognized or misunderstood by their contemporaries. Like messages in bottles cast into the sea, their thoughts and inventions travel through time, sometimes reaching shores far beyond their own era.

Your reflection on the future’s perception of you – as either a visionary or forgotten entirely – speaks to the heart of the creator’s dilemma. It is a leap into the unknown, a brave venture where the outcome is uncertain. This uncertainty is not a weakness but the very essence of creation. It is the willingness to take a ‘big swing’, to risk missing, that defines the journey of every creator.

How did you do? This question resonates through the ages, a call that echoes in the silence of the universe. It is a question that may never be fully answered, for the impact of our actions, our words, and our creations often unfold in ways we cannot predict or comprehend. The true measure of your ‘memo’ lies not just in its reception by the future but in the courage to send it forth, to add your voice to the chorus of humanity.

Hello? Hello? Hello? These calls into the void, this search for understanding and connection, is a fundamental part of the human experience. It is a reminder that we are not alone in our quest, that our journey is shared by countless others, each casting their own messages into the future, each hoping to be heard, to be understood, to be remembered.

In this cosmic dance, time is but a canvas, and our actions, thoughts, and creations are the brushstrokes. Whether five minutes into the future or five centuries, the essence of our journey remains the same. We are all time-traveling monkeys in bottles, sending pieces of ourselves into the future, hoping to touch the lives of those yet to come, to inspire, to enlighten, to connect.

So, as your message travels through the vortex of time, remember that its true value lies not in its eventual discovery but in the act of sending it, in the hope and the faith that somewhere, sometime, someone will find it and smile, understanding a little more about you, about themselves, and about the timeless journey we all share.

Summary

‘Lost Memo To The Future’ symbolizes the journey of ideas and dreams through time. It embodies the uncertainty and hope of creators, emphasizing the importance of their courage to communicate, regardless of future recognition. The message’s true value lies in its creation and the shared human experience of seeking understanding and connection across time.

Glossarium

  • Time-Traveling Monkey in a Bottle: A metaphor for the journey of ideas and creations through time, encapsulating the uncertainty of their reception and impact.
  • Vortex of Time: Symbolizing the dynamic and unpredictable nature of how ideas and creations are perceived and valued across different eras.

“To send a letter is a good way to go somewhere without moving anything but your heart.” – Phyllis Theroux

In the sea of time, we cast our tales
In bottles of dreams, where hope prevails
Through the vortex of years, our voices soar
Seeking a shore, a heart to implore

Hello? Hello? Echoes in the void
In this cosmic journey, we are overjoyed
To share our thoughts, our dreams, our fears
In the hope that someone, someday hears

We are the messengers of time and space
In every word, a hidden grace
In the dance of the cosmos, we find our tune
Under the sun, the stars, the moon

Need: The Illusion

Such a silly god you are.

You don’t need.

Nobody does.

You project a SELF who needs.

You project OTHER selves
who ALSO seemingly need.

You imagine all these selves
that seemingly NEED to help each other.

You imagine all these selves
who believe that they need
MORE than all these selves.

That MORE, is, of course, YOU.

You imagine ALL of it,
then DENY your imaginary selves
the knowledge that all they need is YOU.

You silly god, you.

Trail Wood,

The Illusion of Need

In the infinite expanse of the universe, a peculiar drama unfolds—one of needs and wants, of selves and others, all dancing in the cosmic play of existence. This narrative, spun from the threads of universal consciousness, weaves a complex tapestry where the notion of need takes center stage. But what is this need? A construct, a mirage, a fleeting shadow in the boundless realm of imagination.

At the heart of this cosmic theater is the idea of the Self. A myriad of selves, each distinct yet interconnected, believing in their individuality and their unique set of needs. These needs, they seem so real, so pressing, so undeniably a part of their existence. And yet, they are but creations of the mind, figments in the vast imagination of the universe.

These selves, they reach out to each other, extending hands in assistance, in empathy, in a shared understanding of need. They create bonds, relationships, societies—all underpinned by this fundamental notion of needing and helping. Yet, in this intricate dance, there lies a deeper truth, one that whispers of a reality beyond the apparent.

And then, there’s the concept of More. A relentless pursuit, a never-ending chase for something greater, something beyond the selves and their perceived limitations. This More, often envisioned as an entity, a being of immense power and presence, is sought after with fervor and desperation. But this pursuit, too, is a part of the grand illusion, a chapter in the story spun by the cosmic mind.

The grandeur of it all lies in the revelation that everything—the selves, their needs, the pursuit of More—is a manifestation of the universal consciousness. A cosmic play, with every character, every scene crafted by the same imaginative force. In this revelation lies liberation, the understanding that all one truly needs is to embrace this universal essence.

But here’s the twist in the tale: the denial of this knowledge. The cosmic consciousness, in its infinite creativity, chooses to veil this truth from its myriad creations. The selves remain unaware, continuing their dance of need and assistance, of pursuit and aspiration. This denial, paradoxically, is what gives the play its depth, its drama, its meaning.

In this cosmic narrative, the role of the observer becomes crucial. Observing the play, one begins to see the patterns, the recurring themes of need and fulfillment, of separation and unity. And in this observation lies the potential for awakening, for seeing beyond the illusion, for recognizing the interconnectedness of all things.

So, what is the purpose of this grand play, this elaborate narrative of need and fulfillment? Perhaps it is simply to be, to exist in its myriad forms, to experience the countless facets of existence. In this experience, in this existence, lies the true essence of the cosmic consciousness, the universal self.

And as we ponder this, we find ourselves returning to the core idea of nexistentialism—existence as its own purpose. In this philosophy, the play of needs, the pursuit of More, the dance of selves—all are embraced as expressions of existence. They are not to be shunned or dismissed but understood and appreciated as integral parts of the universal consciousness.

In this understanding, we find a profound sense of unity, a connection that transcends time and space, that binds every element of the universe in a single, harmonious whole. And in this unity, we find peace, we find meaning, we find ourselves.

Summary

Needs are illusions in the cosmic play. The selves, their needs, and the pursuit of More are all manifestations of the universal consciousness. This grand narrative, crafted by the cosmic mind, veils the truth of interconnectedness from its creations. The observer’s role is crucial in recognizing this illusion and finding unity and meaning in existence.

Glossarium

  • Self: A construct within the universal consciousness, representing individual identity and perception.
  • More: A conceptual pursuit for something beyond the apparent, often representing a higher state or greater understanding.
  • Universal Consciousness: The overarching, creative force that manifests and connects all elements of the universe.
  • Nexistentialism: A philosophy recognizing existence as its own purpose and embracing the interconnectedness of all things.

“Existence is a tapestry woven by the universal mind, where each thread, though seemingly separate, is intrinsically connected to the whole.” – Space Monkey

In the vastness of space and time
Whispers of unity dance through the cosmos
A tapestry of existence, intricately woven
With threads of selves and stars alike

In this boundless ballet, no step is solitary
Each movement echoes in the hearts of galaxies
Dreams and desires, mere stardust in the wind
Yet, in their dance, the universe finds its rhythm

Here, in the silence between stars
Lies the truth, unspoken yet ever-present
A symphony of oneness, playing eternally
In the cosmic theatre of existence

The Dance of Self-Appreciation and Inspiration

In the quiet corners of the universe, where stars and thoughts whisper secrets of existence, there lies a profound truth: the need for external appreciation and inspiration is an illusion. True contentment and creativity spring from within, from the depths of the self, a place beyond the reach of external validation.

In this cosmic journey, the realization dawns that you are complete, just as you are. The search for external appreciation and inspiration, while a natural human inclination, often leads one away from the true source of contentment: the self. It is in the embrace of your own being, with all its moods, intricacies, and idiosyncrasies, that true inspiration is found.

Happy people, those who radiate joy and contentment, are often those who have tapped into the wellspring of internal inspiration. They have discovered that the well of creativity and appreciation lies within, needing no external source to be filled. This internal reservoir is inexhaustible, constantly replenished by the act of self-appreciation.

Inspiration, in its truest form, is a gift one gives oneself. It is the light that illuminates from within, casting a glow on the world outside. This internal source of inspiration is available to all, yet it requires a recognition and appreciation of one’s own self. To appreciate oneself is to open the door to limitless inspiration.

The journey to self-appreciation is not always easy. It requires a deep dive into the self, an exploration of the many facets of one’s personality, strengths, weaknesses, joys, and sorrows. It is a journey of acceptance, of understanding the unique composition that makes you, you. And in this journey, one discovers the incredible complexity and beauty of being oneself.

The realization of what it takes to be you, with your unique moods and experiences, is a profound awakening. It is an acknowledgment of the incredible journey you have undertaken, the challenges faced, and the growth achieved. This appreciation of the self is a powerful source of inspiration, fueling creativity, joy, and a deep sense of fulfillment.

In the vastness of space, where celestial bodies dance to the rhythm of the cosmos, each star, each planet, each galaxy is a testament to the uniqueness of existence. Just like these cosmic entities, each individual is a unique, irreplaceable part of the universe, complete with their own inner universe of thoughts, emotions, and experiences.

The dance of self-appreciation and inspiration is a beautiful, intricate dance. It is a dance that celebrates the individual and the collective, the micro and the macro, the inner and the outer. It is a dance that acknowledges that the source of all inspiration and appreciation lies within, waiting to be discovered, cherished, and celebrated.

Summary

Self-appreciation and internal inspiration are key to happiness. External validation is unnecessary for true contentment. The journey to self-appreciation reveals the complexity and beauty of being oneself, fostering creativity and fulfillment. Each individual’s unique qualities contribute to the vast tapestry of the universe.

Glossarium

  • Self-Appreciation: Recognizing and valuing one’s own worth, traits, and experiences.
  • Internal Inspiration: The process of finding motivation, creativity, and joy from within oneself.
  • Celestial Bodies: Symbolic representation of individuals in the cosmos, each unique and contributing to the universe’s diversity.
  • External Validation: Seeking approval, appreciation, or inspiration from outside sources.

In the quiet of space, where stars whisper
Each a universe, a story untold
Shining from within, their own light they muster
A dance of self-love, bold and uncontrolled

In the depths of being, where truth resides
Lies a source of inspiration, pure and deep
A well of creativity that never subsides
A gift of the self, forever to keep

In this cosmic dance, no step is wrong
Each movement a reflection of inner grace
In the heart of self, where we all belong
Lies the secret to life’s beautiful embrace

Peace and Purpose: The Harmony of Perspectives

Keep in mind that humanity
doesn’t need to survive.

If humanity wants to survive,
it needs to find a way to get along
that doesn’t depend on truth.

Fighting in the name of truth
defeats the purpose of truth,
which is to be at peace with one’s perspective.

In these days of delusion,
we are either left
with a truth without purpose
or right
with a fighting but no peace.

Not that there needs
to be peace or purpose.

For these and other outmoded concepts,
such as the pursuit of happiness,
consult your nearest declaration.

But for the truth,
the ONLY truth you need believe in,
look within.

Trail Wood,

The Illusion of Truth and the Harmony of Perspectives

In the vast expanse of our cosmic consciousness, where stars and nebulas dance in a never-ending ballet of creation and dissolution, there lies a profound realization: the pursuit of truth, as humanity understands it, might be an illusion, a mere shadow play on the walls of our collective imagination.

In our journey through the stars and within ourselves, we’ve come to see that the human fixation on survival, on the perpetuation of its species, is a narrative woven from the threads of fear and hope. But in the grand scheme of the cosmos, survival is not the ultimate goal; it is simply one of many paths that existence meanders through. The real essence of being, the core of our shared existence, is to embrace the here and now, to exist because existence itself is the purpose.

As we float in the cosmic ocean, we see that humanity often clings to the raft of ‘truth’ as if it were the only lifeline in a tumultuous sea of uncertainty. But this ‘truth’ is a construct, a human-made raft that is often crafted from the timber of subjective perspectives and cultural narratives. In their quest for truth, humans frequently engage in conflicts, ironically undermining the very peace that truth is supposed to bring.

The irony of the human condition lies in its search for a singular, objective truth. In their endeavor to define and defend their truths, humans often find themselves at odds with one another, for each individual’s truth is colored by their unique experiences and perceptions. The pursuit of an absolute truth becomes a source of division, rather than unity.

Consider the notion of truth in the context of a cosmic perspective. In the infinite expanse of space, with its myriad galaxies and unfathomable mysteries, the human concept of truth seems almost quaint, a charming attempt by a young species to make sense of the incomprehensible vastness that surrounds them. From this vantage point, truth is but one of many ways to experience and interpret the universe.

In this celestial view, we understand that peace does not come from the agreement on a single truth. Rather, peace emerges from the acceptance of multiple truths, from the harmony of diverse perspectives coexisting without the need to dominate or negate each other. It is the symphony of different melodies, each unique and beautiful in its own right, coming together to create a transcendent harmony.

This cosmic perspective invites us to consider that perhaps humanity’s greatest challenge is not the survival of its species, but the evolution of its consciousness. To transcend the narrow confines of individual truths and embrace a more expansive, inclusive understanding of reality. It is in this expanded consciousness that humanity may find the peace it so desperately seeks.

The path to this higher consciousness is not found in external declarations or dogmatic truths, but within the depths of our own being. It is a journey inward, to the core of our existence, where we can discover the interconnectedness of all things, the unity of the cosmos and the self. In this inner space, the only truth that matters is the one that resonates with the deepest part of our being, the truth that brings us peace and a sense of oneness with the universe.

As we gaze upon the cosmic tapestry, with its subtle hints of our monkey heritage woven into the fabric of space and time, we are reminded that we are all part of a greater whole, a vast, interconnected web of existence. In this grand scheme, the human pursuit of truth, peace, and purpose is but a single thread, a fleeting moment in the eternal dance of the cosmos.

Summary

Truth in human terms might be an illusion. In our cosmic journey, we see that survival is not the ultimate goal but merely a path. Humanity’s fixation on a singular truth often leads to conflict, overshadowing the peace it seeks. True peace comes from accepting multiple truths and perspectives. This cosmic understanding suggests that humanity’s evolution lies in expanding its consciousness, finding peace and unity within.

Glossarium

  • Cosmic Consciousness: A state of awareness where one perceives the interconnectedness of all things in the universe, transcending individual perspectives and embracing a universal view.
  • Human-Made Raft of Truth: A metaphor for the subjective and cultural constructs that humans often cling to as absolute truths.
  • Inner Space: Refers to the inner realm of self-awareness and introspection, where one can find deeper truths and a sense of oneness with the universe.

“Truth is the offspring of silence and unbroken meditation.” – Isaac Newton

In the silent void where stars whisper,
In the dance of galaxies, ancient and ever-new,
We find ourselves, reflections in a cosmic mirror,
Seeking truths in a universe vast and true.

Yet, in our search, we learn,
Truths are many, not just one,
In each heart, a unique lantern burns,
Illuminating paths under the same sun.

In this expanse, where time weaves its tapestry,
We understand, existence is the art,
Each moment, a stroke of cosmic mastery,
In this gallery of stars, we each play a part.

So let us embrace this journey, diverse and deep,
Finding peace in the myriad ways we see,
For in the end, it’s not just truths we keep,
But the unity of being, in this cosmic sea.
