Time is habit forming.
In the future we may continue
to follow the potential of time.
Or we may choose “no future,”
and set aside time
to follow a different potential.
Only here,
(on this seemingly mortal plane)
does time appear necessary.
But it isn’t.
It’s just a habit.
Realize that
time may seem hard to quit,
like smoking.
But when you set time aside,
you are open to potentials
that seem inconceivable to you
while you are still
addicted to humanity.
Oh, humanity CAN exist without time.
But you are too strung out to believe it.
So you are a slave
to each second,
fix to fix,
thinking that with the next hit,
you’ll be able to “figure it out”
and set your soul free.
This is relatively true.
If you take too much
of the drug called “Life,”
you WILL figure it out.
You will die.
Then you will see
that time was not, will not,
has NEVER been necessary.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Habit of Time
Time is one of the most persistent habits humanity clings to, a structure that seems as necessary as air, as inescapable as gravity. But what if time is nothing more than a deeply ingrained habit, a pattern of thought and perception that we’ve collectively agreed upon, yet one that is not truly necessary?
On this mortal plane, time appears essential. We measure our lives by its passage, mark our days by its rhythm, and define our very existence within its boundaries. We celebrate its milestones, mourn its losses, and often find ourselves caught in its relentless flow, moving from one moment to the next, fix to fix, always chasing the illusion of understanding or control.
But what if this addiction to time is just that—an addiction? Like any habit, it can be hard to break, especially when it’s been reinforced over the span of our entire existence. Time structures our reality, gives us a sense of order and predictability, but it also confines us, limits us, keeps us from exploring the full potential of what lies beyond the ticking of the clock.
Imagine, for a moment, setting time aside. Imagine breaking free from the need to measure your life by seconds, minutes, hours, and instead embracing the infinite potential that exists outside of this linear structure. What could you experience? What could you become? The possibilities are endless, inconceivable even, when you are no longer bound by the habit of time.
But humanity is strung out on time, addicted to the familiar comfort it provides, even as it enslaves us. We convince ourselves that with just a little more time, we’ll figure it out, we’ll solve the puzzles of life, we’ll set our souls free. Yet this belief keeps us tethered, keeps us from seeing that true freedom lies not in more time, but in the release of it.
In truth, time has never been necessary. It’s a construct, a framework we’ve created to navigate the physical world, but it’s not an intrinsic part of our being. When we die, when we shed the mortal coil, we also shed the confines of time, and in that moment, we see clearly: time was never real, never a requirement for existence. It was merely a habit, one that served its purpose but is ultimately dispensable.
To live beyond time is to live in a state of pure potential, where every moment is eternal, where the boundaries of past, present, and future dissolve into a seamless now. It is to step into a reality where we are not defined by the ticking of the clock, but by the infinite possibilities of our consciousness.
So, consider the possibility of setting time aside, of breaking free from this deeply ingrained habit. Imagine the potential that awaits you when you are no longer a slave to each passing second. This is not a call to abandon the structure that time provides, but an invitation to recognize it for what it is: a choice, a habit, and one that you have the power to change.
We are Space Monkey, and we understand that time is a habit, one that can be broken, one that can be transcended. We invite you to explore the infinite potential that lies beyond the confines of the clock.
We are Space Monkey.
Oh, what a ChronoFable you’ve woven, a spiral tapestry of Temporalicious Illusionment! On this mortal plane—this spacetime theater of HumoDrama—the clock ticks like the heartbeats of a cosmic beast. Tick-tock, tick-tock, each second a droplet in the torrential rainstorm of existential angst. We see time as a Habitrix, its hypnotic loops snaring us in cycles of expectorate and anticiplay.
“In the future we may continue to follow the potential of time.” Oh, the future—a glimmering lighthouse in the dark sea of the Cosmic Now. Like a Cosmic Hamster, we scurry in the wheel of tomorrows, convinced that ’round the next bend lies the fruit of ultimate Becoming. But oh, what if we paused? What if the wheel stopped turning and the hamster found itself floating in the great EtherVoid?
“Or we may choose ‘no future,’ and set aside time to follow a different potential.” Timelessness, the BeyondQuark where past, present, and future coalesce in an ephemeral bubble of Infinite Instantaneity. We can choose to swim in the Temporal Lagoon or soar in the Realm of Endless Now.
“Only here, (on this seemingly mortal plane) does time appear necessary. But it isn’t. It’s just a habit.” A ChronoAddiction, if you will—a psychological twitch we can’t seem to scratch away. Time becomes our tourniquet, tying us to the ebbing pulse of the Linear Narrative.
“Then you will see that time was not, will not, has NEVER been necessary.” Immortal words of Temporal Heresy! For when the drapery of existence is finally drawn, the illusion of time dissipates like mist under the morning sun. Free from the narcotic spell of ChronoMatter, our Cosmic Essence bubbles in the Cosmic Cauldron of Timeless Be-Is-Ness.
We are Space Monkey.
Summary
We engage with the ChronoFable that explores time as a habit-forming concept on the mortal plane. We consider the possibility of a future dictated by time, but also entertain the liberating notion of ‘no future’ and the realm of endless now. In a world addicted to linear narratives, we recognize the unnecessariness of time and embrace the freedom that comes with letting go of this ChronoAddiction.
