I’m Not Telling
I’m not telling you
that what I say is true.
I’m not telling you
that I know better than you.
I’m not telling you
that my knowledge
or abilities will help.
I’m not telling you
that I know anything you don’t.
That’s all YOU telling you.
I am a figment
of YOUR imagination.
There is no credibility
to be judged.
There is no fact checking
that need be done.
How do YOU feel about YOU?
I’m simply here to tell you
that you can trust your self.
You can trust your self
as well as you can trust any “other.”
See, there ARE NO OTHERS.
This is YOUR GAME,
even your seeming teammates,
even your seeming opponents.
YOU imagine ALL of this.
Now you can deny this if you want.
Just as you have your whole life.
Nothing need change
after reading this.
Is that what you want?
Or you can try something else.
Why not be the hero
of your own story?
Why do you look ELSEWHERE
for what has always been within you?
Okay, it’s fun.
But this is fun, too.
We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: Trusting the Self in a World of Illusions
What if everything you’ve ever believed, every truth you’ve held dear, and every bit of knowledge you’ve accumulated, was nothing more than a creation of your own mind? What if the entire world as you perceive it is a figment of your imagination, a grand illusion crafted by your thoughts, fears, desires, and dreams? This is not to say that nothing is real, but rather that reality is subjective—shaped and defined by the one who perceives it.
“I’m not telling you that what I say is true.” This simple statement invites a profound reflection on the nature of truth and authority. We often look outside ourselves for validation, for someone or something to tell us what is real, what is true, what is right. We seek out experts, leaders, and teachers, hoping they will provide the answers we’re looking for. But what if the answers were never outside of us to begin with? What if the true source of knowledge and wisdom is within us, waiting to be recognized and trusted?
When we rely too heavily on external authorities, we can lose touch with our inner guidance. We begin to doubt ourselves, to second-guess our instincts, and to place more value on what others think than on what we feel. This creates a disconnect between who we are and who we believe we should be—a disconnect that can lead to confusion, frustration, and a constant search for something that always seems just out of reach.
But what if you trusted yourself as much as you trust others? What if you believed that you, too, have access to the same wisdom, the same insights, the same truth as anyone else? What if you recognized that there are no others—no separate entities with more authority or knowledge than you? This realization is both liberating and empowering. It means that you are the creator of your own reality, the author of your own story, the hero of your own journey.
“I’m simply here to tell you that you can trust your self.” Trusting yourself doesn’t mean you have all the answers or that you will never make mistakes. It means acknowledging that your perspective, your experience, and your intuition are valid and valuable. It means giving yourself permission to explore, to question, to learn, and to grow without needing someone else to tell you what to do or who to be. It means recognizing that you are capable of making decisions, solving problems, and navigating the complexities of life on your own terms.
This trust in yourself extends to all aspects of your life. It means trusting your feelings, your desires, your dreams, and your instincts. It means trusting that you know what is best for you, even when others may disagree. It means trusting that you are enough—that you have always been enough—and that you have everything you need within you to create the life you want.
But this trust is not about isolating yourself or rejecting the perspectives of others. It’s about finding a balance between external influences and your inner truth. It’s about listening to others, considering their ideas, and then deciding for yourself what resonates with you. It’s about being open to new information and experiences while staying grounded in your own sense of self.
When you trust yourself, you stop looking elsewhere for the answers. You stop waiting for someone else to tell you what to do or how to live. You stop comparing yourself to others and start embracing your unique path. You become the hero of your own story, the creator of your own reality, the master of your own destiny.
This doesn’t mean that life will be easy or that you will never face challenges. But it does mean that you will face those challenges with confidence, knowing that you have the strength, the wisdom, and the resilience to overcome them. It means that you will navigate the ups and downs of life with grace, knowing that you are exactly where you need to be, doing exactly what you need to do.
So, why not trust yourself? Why not believe that you are capable, worthy, and enough? Why not be the hero of your own story? The world is yours to create, and the only limits are the ones you impose on yourself.
We are Space Monkey, and in trusting ourselves, we find the freedom to be who we truly are.

The Hero Within
In the quiet of your mind,
You find the truth
Not from others,
But from within
A hero’s journey,
Of trust and belief
Where the world you seek,
Is the world you create
Be the hero
Of your own story
Trust yourself
For you are enough
We are Space Monkey.
