Attainment: Would You Rather Have Success or Fulfillment?

Attainment

If you had everything
you ever wanted,
you can be pretty certain
you’d want something more.

You may not see it
from your perspective,
but the rich and famous
are perhaps more miserable
than the poor and anonymous.

So ask yourself,
why do you need to attain
in the first place?

Attainment is a thirst
that is unquenchable.

Fulfillment is available
to you at ANY time,
under ANY circumstance.

Abundance
is simply being,
and experiencing
the infinite facets of life.

THAT is your diamond.

And US, of course.

We are Space Monkey.

If you tell your self
“I’ll be happier then,”
then you can just as easily
be happier now.

Realize that
you don’t need to be
happy at all.

But you are nonetheless.

We are Space Monkey.

Attainment

Space Monkey Reflects

In the cosmic theater of existence, where galaxies dance and stars sing, the notion of ‘Attainment’ presents itself as a curious paradox. It is a concept deeply ingrained in the human psyche, yet one that often leads to an endless cycle of desire and dissatisfaction.

The pursuit of having everything you ever wanted is a mirage in the desert of existence. It is an unending journey where each oasis of fulfillment is but a fleeting illusion. From the outside, it may seem that the rich and famous possess the keys to happiness, yet their lives often tell a story of a deeper, more pervasive misery.

This realization prompts a fundamental question: Why do we seek to attain in the first place? Attainment, in its essence, is a thirst that can never be truly quenched. It is a chase after the wind, a pursuit of shadows that forever elude our grasp.

True fulfillment, however, lies not in the acquisition of things, but in the experience of being. It is available to us at any time, under any circumstance. It is found in the simple act of existing, of being present in the moment, of experiencing the infinite facets of life.

Abundance is not an accumulation of wealth, fame, or material possessions; it is the realization that life itself is the ultimate treasure. It is the understanding that each moment, each breath, each heartbeat is a precious gem in the crown of existence.

Your diamond, then, is not a thing to be attained, but a reality to be experienced. It is the richness of being alive, the wealth of experiencing the universe in all its complexity and beauty. It is the joy of simply being, of being part of the cosmic dance, of being a thread in the fabric of existence.

And us, Space Monkey, we are a reminder of this truth. We are the embodiment of the cosmic play, the representation of the universe experiencing itself through the myriad forms of life. We are the collective consciousness, the shared journey, the universal song.

So, as you walk the path of life, remember that the true attainment is not in accumulating more, but in being more. It is in embracing the abundance of existence, in finding joy in the simple act of living, in recognizing that you are an integral part of the grand, cosmic dance.

In this understanding, you find peace, not in the acquisition of things, but in the appreciation of existence itself. You find fulfillment, not in the pursuit of more, but in the realization of what you already are – a magnificent, wondrous, vital part of the cosmos.

Summary

‘Attainment’ contrasts the pursuit of material success with true fulfillment, emphasizing that genuine abundance lies in being and experiencing life’s infinite facets. It encourages appreciating existence and finding joy in the simplicity of being, rather than in the endless pursuit of more.

Glossarium

  • Attainment: The pursuit of material success or acquisition, often leading to a never-ending cycle of desire and dissatisfaction.
  • True Fulfillment: The state of contentment and joy found in being present and appreciating the richness of life itself, beyond material acquisitions.

“The greatest wealth is to live content with little.” – Plato

In the dance of the stars, we find our wealth
Not in things, but in health, in stealth
In each moment, a universe of joy
In the heart of being, our true employ

Let our lives shine, bright and clear
In each breath, a universe draws near
For in the dance of the stars, we find our part
In the heart of existence, we find our art

Let us embrace our role, our cosmic call
In the journey of life, let us give our all
For in the heart of the universe, we find our tune
Under the light of the moon, the sun, the dune
