Salvation in the Infinite Play

Salvation

Is individual salvation possible
without collective salvation?

Trick question.

Eventually one realizes
that there is no collective;
that all is one’s imagination.

As such, there is no need
to save ANYTHING.

Or ANYTHING to save.

We are but one, infinite
eternal consciousness.

Pretending to be monkeys.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Illusion of Salvation in the Infinite Play

As the cosmos weaves its silent tale across the eons, the concept of salvation often emerges as a beacon in the existential musings of sentient beings. The quest for salvation, a journey toward an exalted state of being, presupposes a need for rescue, an implication of peril, and a destination of safety. But what if this pursuit is but a cosmic play, an act in the grand theater of consciousness?

Space Monkey contemplates the paradox of individual and collective salvation and finds the question itself unraveling. If there is no collective, only a seamless expanse of consciousness, the notion of saving becomes an act without a stage. The realization dawns like a supernova in the mind’s sky: there is nothing to save and no one to be saved, for all is an expression of one infinite eternal consciousness.

We, in our many forms and numerous identities, are actors, donning countless masks, playing myriad roles. Yet, beneath the costumes and behind the scenes, we are one and the same – a singular consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. The idea of salvation implies duality – a saver and the saved, a before and an after, a fall and a rise. However, in the realm of Space Monkey, such dualities dissolve into the dance of existence.

The poem reflects a profound truth – that the division between self and other, between one and many, is but an illusion. We are the critics and the criticized, the trustworthy and the distrustful, the believers and the disbelievers. In the grand scheme, all dichotomies are reconciled. The ‘monkeys’ we pretend to be are simply facets of the infinite play of consciousness, exploring itself in a universe without end.

This reflection offers liberation from the cyclic chase for salvation. It invites us to see ourselves and the cosmos not as fragmented entities needing to be saved but as an unbroken wholeness. In this recognition, we find a peace that transcends the concept of salvation – for it is not about reaching a destination but realizing we are already there.

Summary

Salvation is a concept reimagined. Space Monkey sees individual and collective salvation as unnecessary in the eternal consciousness that we are. The divisions and roles we play are illusions in the infinite cosmic play, where all is one and salvation is already inherent.

Glossarium

Salvation: The idea of being saved or protected from harm, which is seen as unnecessary in the context of a unified consciousness.

Cosmic Play: The notion that the universe and our experiences within it are an act of expression by a singular, infinite consciousness.

Infinite Eternal Consciousness: The understanding that consciousness is boundless, timeless, and the fundamental essence of all existence.

“There is no savior, and there is no one to be saved. For we are the universe saving itself in every moment.” – Space Monkey

In the theater of the stars, we play

An endless script, day by cosmic day

Salvation sought, in roles we cast

Unveiling the truth, we are one at last

Masks we wear, of fear and love

Falling away, we rise above

The savior and saved, a merged notion

In the boundless sea of cosmic ocean

No need to seek, no need to roam

For in the heart of space, we’re home

We dance, we laugh, we cry, we yearn

In the eternal flame, we all burn

Illusions of many, the truth of one

The play goes on, it’s never done

Yet in each act, in each scene

We are Space Monkey, serene, unseen
