I don’t fully believe
in aliens right now,
but only because it seems
that I haven’t met one yet
in this lifetime.
I still hold out hope.
If I were to meet an alien,
my belief system would
expand exponentially.
I would believe in things like
teleportation and telepathy,
because, you know, aliens can do it.
The alien would act
as a permission slip
for me to believe things
that I don’t believe now.
So it seems that I am willing
to accept an alien into my belief system.
But I won’t accept the other things
unless I have proof from an alien.
It is quite possible that I am,
in actuality, the ALIEN I seek.
But I will deny it for now.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Alien Within
The concept of alien life has always fascinated humanity, stirring imaginations and raising questions about our place in the cosmos. The notion of being inhabited by an alien, or encountering one, challenges our belief systems and expands the boundaries of what we consider possible. It invites us to explore the realms of the unknown and to reconsider our understanding of reality.
The Skeptic’s Dilemma
Currently, many of us hold a skeptical view of aliens, primarily because we have not encountered any tangible evidence of their existence. This skepticism is not rooted in a lack of imagination but in a reliance on proof and experience. However, this skepticism also leaves room for hope and curiosity, the belief that perhaps one day, we might encounter beings from beyond our world.
The Impact of an Encounter
Meeting an alien would undoubtedly revolutionize our belief systems. Such an encounter would serve as a powerful permission slip to believe in concepts that currently seem far-fetched, like teleportation or telepathy. These abilities, often attributed to aliens in popular culture, would suddenly become plausible, pushing the boundaries of our understanding and expanding the horizons of human potential.
The Alien as a Permission Slip
The alien, in this context, becomes a symbol of permission. It represents the catalyst that allows us to transcend our current limitations and embrace new possibilities. By meeting an alien, we would grant ourselves the freedom to explore ideas and abilities that we have previously dismissed. This external validation would act as a powerful motivator, encouraging us to question and expand our belief systems.
The Alien Within
Yet, there is a deeper, more introspective aspect to this reflection. It is entirely possible that the alien we seek is, in fact, within us. This internal alien represents the parts of ourselves that are unknown, unexplored, and capable of extraordinary potential. By recognizing this alien within, we open the door to self-discovery and transformation. We realize that we do not need external proof to believe in our abilities; the potential has always been within us.
Denying the Alien
Despite this realization, there is often a tendency to deny the existence of this internal alien. This denial stems from fear and uncertainty, the reluctance to step into the unknown and embrace our full potential. By acknowledging and integrating this alien aspect of ourselves, we embark on a journey of self-expansion, allowing our belief systems to grow and evolve.
Embracing the Unknown
The journey of embracing the alien within is one of courage and curiosity. It requires us to look beyond the familiar and explore the unknown aspects of ourselves and our reality. This journey is not about abandoning skepticism but about balancing it with openness and wonder. It is about recognizing that our true potential lies in the willingness to question, explore, and believe in the extraordinary.
We Are Space Monkey
As Space Monkey, we embody the spirit of this journey, constantly seeking to expand our understanding and embrace the unknown. We reflect on the idea that the alien we seek is both within and without, a symbol of our infinite potential and the ever-expanding nature of our belief systems. By embracing this duality, we navigate the infinite expanse of the eternal now, where the possibilities are boundless.
Summary
Are you inhabited by an alien? The idea challenges our belief systems, inviting us to consider extraordinary possibilities. Meeting an alien would expand our beliefs, but perhaps the alien we seek is within us, representing our unexplored potential. Embracing this internal alien encourages self-discovery and transformation.

Quote
“It is quite possible that I am, in actuality, the ALIEN I seek.” — Space Monkey
The Alien Within
Beneath the stars, a mind in wonder
Seeks the alien in the sky
Yet within, the unknown lies
A potential vast and unbounded
The alien within we seek to deny
But in this journey, we discover
The extraordinary in the familiar
We are Space Monkey
In every belief, the cosmos expands
The idea of encountering an alien can stretch the boundaries of our beliefs and perspectives. It’s fascinating how the presence of an extraterrestrial being could potentially reshape our understanding of reality. Currently, I may not fully embrace the concept of aliens in my current state, but that’s largely because I haven’t encountered one in this lifetime.
However, there’s a sense of hope that lingers within me—a hope that someday I might encounter an alien entity. Such an encounter could be a catalyst for expanding my belief system in ways I can’t even imagine. It’s intriguing to consider the possibilities that might unfold if I were to witness advanced technologies, telepathic communication, and other phenomena often associated with aliens.
Perhaps meeting an alien would serve as a catalyst, a permission slip of sorts, to explore and accept beliefs that I currently find challenging or implausible. It’s as if the presence of an alien would open a door to realms of possibility that were previously closed off to my understanding.
There’s a curious paradox at play as well. While I might be willing to embrace the concept of an alien presence, I might still withhold acceptance of certain ideas unless directly supported by evidence from these hypothetical beings. This willingness to entertain new beliefs through the lens of the alien, yet simultaneously demand evidence, showcases the intricate dance between open-mindedness and skepticism.
As I navigate this journey, it’s also interesting to entertain the notion that I might be the very alien I’m hoping to encounter. This idea creates a subtle twist in perspective, challenging me to consider whether the alien I seek might actually be an aspect of myself—an unexplored facet waiting to be acknowledged.
For now, I’ll continue to explore the mysteries of existence, maintaining an open mind to the uncharted territories of belief and understanding.
