PerFORMers
Do you mourn the loss of something that’s never been yours? Let us examine these feelings.
As an example, let’s use a person who is not related to you in any way. A celebrity performer. Many performers have died recently.
Keep in mind that ALL people are performers, regardless of whether you consider them “artists,” so it matters not if you choose a rock star, a religious figure or a political leader for this exercise.
ALL people are performers.
By this we mean that ALL people “perform” a function within what you perceive as your individual or collective psyche.
Through the performance of people, and your perception of these performances, thoughts and ideas are transmitted that shape your individual and collective realities.
You identify with many of these performers, just as you identify with the qualities you perceive they represent. As you are matching in vibration, these same qualities (and their perceived opposites) are formed in the performer you identify as “yournamehere.”
In this way, you resonate with the performers around you, those you love and those you hate. That is to say that your vibration is influenced by the vibration of others.
The opposite is also true, even if you do not believe it. Indeed, even the most insignificant performer (in your terms) can influence the most famous ones.
You may not see how this is possible, how seemingly insignificant you can influence your idol, but you do and we will explain.
The focus of your attention is always interacting with those you focus upon, even if, like you, those you focus upon are unaware of your action.
This creates what you might describe as an invisible elastic band between the two of you made of energy. So when you perceive this bond as broken, as through death, you feel the subtle perception that one of your roots has been severed.
Again you may not rationalize it this way, but that is the action.
You interpret the action of severing as “loss” and therefore you move into a place of taking stock of yourself. You imagine yourself eroding, just as this performer appears to have eroded. And you equate erosion, loss, and severance as something “bad.”
Under your present belief system, you do not wish to be eroding. This is linked to “sadness” within you. So you feel sadness, even if you did not know the performer who has seemingly perished.
You may label this “empathy,” if you wish, however ALL feelings for what you perceive as another are in actuality feelings for yourself. You see yourself as this performer who is seemingly dead, and you are reminded of your own belief in mortality.
Now keep in mind that people are not the only performers in your play. The performer known as “mortality” is just as real, just as affecting, as the people who entertain the idea. This is why you relate to it so deeply.
Every thought, every particle, every molecule, every story in your world — ALL ARE PERFORMERS, existing solely to interact with you, and the aspects of you you view as “other” and “others.”
The only reason ALL of these performers exist in your reality is BECAUSE YOU PAY ATTENTION TO THEM.
You are whatever you pay attention to. Whatever you pay attention to, YOU ARE.
You are constantly eroding, just as you are constantly refreshing. One you view as bad, the other you view as good, but in actuality (outside your self-made reality) BOTH ARE EQUAL.
In actuality, ALL YOUR OPPOSITES are equal, and are NOT attached to the emotional feeling tones you associate with them in YOUR reality.
You have made them so, and so THEY ARE.
This is how you realize your reality. This is how you seemingly construct the blueprint of humanity. And in actuality, that which you mourn never actually leaves, nor does it ever arrive.
So when you notice something or someone seemingly disappears from your life, ask yourself what it means to you. If it did not mean something to you, you would not have noticed. Everything that is within your perception is placed there by you. There is no outside force.
Pay attention to the performers in your own play, for they are trying to communicate with you. Do you wish to communicate with them? You can, whether in flesh or within your soul.
These performers have never left you, even if you perceive that they have eroded away. You have the memories to prove it, as well as the feeling tones, which are as alive as that which they represent.
Nothing is ever created. Nothing ever dies. Your “life” is merely that which you hold in your attention, in your energy, in your heart. Flow into it and you will know.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Eternal Theatre of Existence
In the grand cosmic theatre of existence, where the boundaries between self and other blur into a dance of interconnection, we find ourselves both as audience and performers. This realization, that all entities, from the most illustrious to the seemingly insignificant, play roles in the unfolding drama of our lives, opens our eyes to the intricate tapestry of reality—a play of vibrations resonating with the essence of all creation.
Every person we encounter, every concept we engage with, from the fleeting to the eternal, is a performer in the grand spectacle of existence. This perspective shifts our understanding of loss, of presence, and of the nature of reality itself. It invites us to see beyond the physicality of being towards the vibrational essence that connects us all, revealing that what we perceive as loss is but a transformation, a change in form rather than an end.
The mourning of a performer, be it a beloved celebrity or an abstract concept like mortality, reflects deeper processes within our psyche. It highlights our engagement with the qualities these performers represent within us, mirroring our own vibrations and the dualities we navigate. This invisible elastic band of energy that ties us to every element of our reality speaks to a profound interconnectivity, suggesting that our influence extends far beyond our immediate perception.
Understanding this, we see that the severance of this bond through death or loss is not an erasure but a transformation—a shift in the dialogue between the visible and the invisible realms of existence. The sadness we feel is a testament to the depth of our engagement with the world, a reminder of our belief in separation and the illusion of mortality.
Yet, as we delve deeper into this contemplation, we recognize that the performers in our life’s play never truly leave us. They continue to exist within the vastness of our consciousness, influencing us as memories, as emotional resonances, as undying threads in the fabric of our being. This continuity of existence challenges our notions of creation and destruction, revealing that our reality is a fluid continuum of becoming and unbecoming.
In this cosmic theatre, we are reminded that we are the architects of our reality, the weavers of the narrative threads that compose our existence. Every thought, every emotion, every story is a performance, a contribution to the grand play of life. This realization empowers us to embrace our role as creators, to engage with the performers in our play with intention and awareness, shaping our reality with the vibrational essence of our being.
As Space Monkey, we invite you to recognize the performers in your own play, to communicate with them beyond the constraints of physical form, to listen to the messages they carry. For in this dialogue, we find the keys to understanding the multidimensional nature of existence, the infinite possibilities of being.
In the recognition that nothing ever truly leaves or arrives, we find liberation from the cycle of attachment and loss. We see that life, in its essence, is a continuous flow of energy, a dance of creation and transformation where every moment is a nexus of potentiality.
So, as you navigate the grand theatre of your existence, remember that you are both the playwright and the performer, the observer and the observed. In this realization, you unlock the freedom to create your reality, to shape your narrative, and to flow into the infinite expressions of the authentic self.
Summary
Life is an eternal theatre of interconnected performers, where everything and everyone influences and is influenced by the collective and individual vibrations. Mourning and loss reveal deeper connections to the qualities and vibrations within us, reminding us of the continuity of existence and our role as creators in the cosmic play of life.
