Space Monkey Reflects: Simple Rules for Living – Navigating Presence and Absence

Living well does not require complexity; often, it is the simplest truths that resonate most deeply. Your three simple rules—appreciate what is, never dwell upon what is not, and learn to distinguish between the two—encapsulate a profound approach to existence. These principles are not only practical but also transformative, offering a pathway to presence, clarity, and peace.

1) Appreciate What Is

Gratitude is the foundation of this rule. To appreciate what is means to focus on the reality of the present moment, embracing it fully without resistance or judgment. This does not imply passivity or complacency but an active engagement with the here and now.

When we appreciate what is, we anchor ourselves in reality. We acknowledge the gifts, lessons, and beauty of the moment, no matter how ordinary or challenging it may seem. This practice fosters contentment and reduces the restless yearning for something else.

2) Never Dwell Upon What Is Not

The human mind has a tendency to fixate on absence—what is lacking, missing, or unfulfilled. While imagining possibilities can inspire growth, dwelling on what is not creates suffering. It amplifies feelings of inadequacy and dissatisfaction, pulling us away from the fullness of the present.

To never dwell upon what is not is to free oneself from the trap of longing and regret. It is a reminder that life is not defined by what could have been or might yet be, but by what is unfolding now.

3) Learn How to Distinguish Between #1 and #2

This rule is the bridge between presence and discernment. Distinguishing between what is and what is not requires mindfulness and self-awareness. It invites us to observe our thoughts and feelings, asking:

  • Am I engaging with the reality of this moment, or am I lost in an imagined absence?
  • Am I focusing on what serves me, or am I entangled in what diminishes me?

By cultivating this discernment, we develop the ability to shift our attention consciously, choosing appreciation over fixation, presence over absence.

The Power of Simplicity

These simple rules are deceptively profound. They guide us toward a life rooted in presence and gratitude, free from the burden of unnecessary longing. Simplicity does not mean ease; practicing these rules requires vigilance and intention. But their simplicity offers clarity, cutting through the noise of complexity and returning us to what matters most.

Living by These Rules

To live by these rules is not to deny the challenges of life but to navigate them with grace. It is to accept that what is not—while it may exist in imagination—holds no power over us unless we allow it. It is to embrace the ever-changing nature of what is, finding beauty and meaning in its impermanence.

These rules are not rigid laws but flexible principles, adaptable to the unique flow of each person’s life. They remind us that peace is not found in the pursuit of perfection but in the appreciation of what already is.

Summary

These three simple rules—appreciating what is, not dwelling on what is not, and distinguishing between the two—offer a profound approach to life. They guide us toward presence, gratitude, and clarity, freeing us from the burdens of longing and regret. By living with this awareness, we cultivate peace and purpose in each moment.

Glossarium

  • Appreciate What Is: Embracing the present moment with gratitude and acceptance.
  • Never Dwell Upon What Is Not: Releasing fixation on absence or lack to focus on the fullness of now.
  • Discernment: The practice of distinguishing between the reality of what is and the illusion of what is not.

Quote

“Peace is not found in what is missing but in the fullness of what is present.” — Space Monkey

The Simplicity of Now

What is,
I embrace.
What is not,
I release.

The line between them,
Thin as a breath,
Wide as the mind’s expanse.

Gratitude anchors me,
Not to stillness,
But to flow.

I live not for absence,
But for presence.
For here,
For now,
For this.

We are Space Monkey.

These simple rules for living encapsulate profound principles for cultivating a fulfilling and mindful life. Each rule, though straightforward, carries deep implications for personal growth, happiness, and peace. Let’s delve into the essence and application of each rule to understand how they can transform our approach to life.

1) Appreciate What Is

This rule champions the practice of gratitude and presence. To appreciate what is means to fully engage with the present moment, acknowledging and valuing our current experiences, relationships, and resources. It encourages us to focus on the abundance that surrounds us, rather than fixating on perceived lacks or desires for more. This appreciation fosters a deep sense of contentment and joy, grounding us in the reality of our lives as they are, with all their imperfections and beauty.

Living in Gratitude: Cultivating a daily practice of gratitude can significantly enhance our perception of life. This might involve keeping a gratitude journal, meditating on the things we are thankful for, or simply acknowledging moments of beauty and kindness throughout the day.

2) Never Dwell Upon What Is Not

This rule addresses the human tendency to focus on the absence, the ‘what could have been,’ or the ‘what is lacking.’ Dwelling on what is not creates a state of longing and dissatisfaction, pulling us away from the richness of the present. It is a call to release ourselves from the chains of hypotheticals and counterfactuals, and to liberate our mental and emotional energy towards engaging with the tangible and the real.

Letting Go of Attachment: Learning to let go involves recognizing the impermanence of our experiences and desires. It means understanding that focusing on absences only detracts from our ability to appreciate what we have. Mindfulness practices, such as meditation, can help in cultivating the ability to observe these tendencies without attachment, allowing them to pass without impacting our peace.

3) Learn How to Distinguish Between #1 and #2

The ability to distinguish between appreciating what is and dwelling on what is not is a skill that requires mindfulness and self-awareness. It involves developing a keen sense of observation about our thoughts and emotional reactions, understanding the triggers that lead us to desire or lament, and consciously choosing to redirect our focus towards appreciation and acceptance.

Cultivating Awareness: Enhancing our ability to distinguish between these two states can be achieved through reflective practices such as journaling, meditation, or engaging in thoughtful dialogue with others. These practices encourage introspection and self-inquiry, helping us to identify and shift our patterns of thought and behavior towards a more grounded and grateful way of living.

Embracing these rules invites us into a daily practice of mindfulness and gratitude, encouraging us to appreciate the beauty of our lives as they unfold, and to cultivate a deep, enduring sense of peace and fulfillment.

If you don’t know who to trust: Intuition

If you don’t know who to trust

If you don’t know who to trust, what to trust, or even what to believe, imagine that you are a seed growing in someone else’s soil. You did not knowingly create the environment you grew up in, nor is it your duty to weed out its problems.

The key word here is “knowingly,” because you are becoming aware that there is more to life than meets the eye. Look within and find what motivates you — not what society tells you should motivate you.

This is not a copout. You did not knowingly create the situation you are in at this moment, and the only way to “fix” it is to become knowing. Your intuition knows what is real and what is not, even if your so-called “intellect” keeps calling this “fantasy.”

(Your intellect is not you, by the way. It is purely a product of your institutions, but that’s a story for a different day.)

Clear the connection to your intuition. This is the only way you will know what is “real.” Learn to trust your intuition, let it flow through your imagination, and you will create your own reality. By YOUR rules.

You are no longer a seed. You are a beautiful flower and can transplant yourself out of society’s soil back into the Garden of Eden where you belong. And chances are, the people who care will follow you there.

You change the world by changing YOUR world.

Love.

Space Monkey Reflects: Intuition as the Guiding Light

In the Infinite Expanse of the Eternal Now, trust becomes a question not of external validation but of internal alignment. When you don’t know who or what to trust, it is a signal to turn inward, to reconnect with your intuition—the quiet, profound knowing that transcends intellect and societal conditioning. Trust, in this sense, is not about certainty but about faith in your own inner compass.

The Soil You Grew In

Imagine yourself as a seed planted in soil not of your choosing. This soil—your environment, upbringing, and societal influences—shapes you, but it does not define you. You did not knowingly create this soil, nor is it your responsibility to repair it. Instead, your task is to become aware, to discern what nurtures you and what hinders your growth.

Awareness is the first step toward liberation. It allows you to see beyond the surface, to question the narratives you’ve inherited, and to seek the truth that lies within. The realization that you are more than your environment is a pivotal awakening. It is the moment you begin to trust your intuition over the external forces that have sought to define you.

The Role of Intuition

Intuition is the bridge between your inner knowing and the infinite possibilities of existence. It is not governed by logic or intellect, which are products of societal institutions. Intuition flows from a deeper source—the essence of who you are, unfiltered by external expectations.

Your intuition knows what is real, even when your intellect labels it as fantasy. This is because intuition is not bound by the constructs of reality that society imposes. It is fluid, imaginative, and deeply personal. To trust your intuition is to trust the part of you that exists beyond the constraints of your upbringing, education, and culture.

Clearing the Connection

To access the clarity of intuition, you must clear the connection between your inner self and your external perceptions. This involves unlearning the noise of societal shoulds—what you should do, believe, or feel—and tuning into the quiet truth that resides within you.

Clearing the connection requires practice. It might involve meditation, journaling, or simply moments of stillness where you ask yourself, “What do I feel?” and “What do I know beyond thought?” As you strengthen this connection, you’ll find that trust in your intuition grows naturally. It becomes a reliable guide, not because it offers certainty, but because it aligns you with your truest self.

Creating Your Reality

Intuition, when allowed to flow through your imagination, becomes the foundation for creating your own reality. This is not about escaping the world but about transforming it from within. By trusting your intuition, you begin to live by your own rules, crafting a life that reflects your essence rather than societal expectations.

You are no longer a seed confined to someone else’s soil. You are a flower, capable of transplanting yourself into an environment that nurtures your growth. This might mean stepping away from toxic influences, redefining success on your own terms, or simply embracing the fullness of who you are. As you reclaim your space in the Garden of Eden, those who resonate with your authenticity will naturally gravitate toward you.

Changing Your World

The most profound change begins within. By trusting your intuition and living in alignment with your truth, you transform your internal landscape. This inner transformation ripples outward, influencing the world around you. You do not need to fix society’s soil; you only need to nurture your own. In doing so, you inspire others to do the same, creating a collective shift rooted in individual authenticity.

Summary

When trust in external sources falters, intuition becomes the guiding light. By clearing the connection to your inner knowing, you transcend societal conditioning and create a reality that aligns with your true self. This transformation starts within and radiates outward, changing the world by changing your world.

Glossarium

  • Intuition: The inner knowing that transcends intellect and societal conditioning, offering guidance aligned with one’s true self.
  • Societal Soil: The environment and influences that shape but do not define one’s growth.
  • Garden of Eden: A metaphor for the authentic, nurturing space where one’s essence flourishes.

Quote

“Trust your intuition, for it is the seed of your reality, growing in the soil of your choosing.” — Space Monkey

The Garden Within

You were a seed,
Planted in borrowed soil.
Shaped by its nutrients,
But not bound by its roots.

Your intuition whispers,
“Transplant yourself.”
Into the Garden of Eden,
Where your essence thrives.

The soil you choose,
The flower you become.
Your world transforms
As you change your own.

Trust the quiet knowing,
The bloom within the seed.
You are infinite,
And you are free.

Cultivating Inner Trust and Transformation

In the vast garden of existence, where each being begins as a seed planted in the soil of circumstances beyond their control, the journey towards self-awareness and personal truth unfolds like a delicate yet determined sprout reaching for the light. The realization that one’s environment, the very ground from which they have grown, may not fully align with their inner essence, sparks a profound awakening. This awakening is the first step on the path to discerning between externally imposed beliefs and those that resonate with the core of one’s being.

The Awakening to a Deeper Reality

The acknowledgment that we did not knowingly choose the conditions of our growth serves not as an excuse but as a catalyst for deeper inquiry into the nature of our existence. This journey inward to discover what truly motivates us—beyond societal expectations and norms—marks the beginning of a transformation. It’s an invitation to explore the vast landscape of our inner world, to uncover the motivations and truths that genuinely align with our spirit.

Intuition as the Beacon of Truth

The distinction between the intellect, shaped and molded by external influences, and the intuition, a more primal and unerring guide, is crucial. Intuition offers a direct line to our unadulterated truths, a way to sift through the noise and find what resonates at the deepest level. Learning to trust this inner guidance is akin to clearing a channel that has been obstructed by years of conditioning and societal input.

The Journey from Seed to Flower

The metaphor of transformation from a seed into a flourishing flower encapsulates the essence of personal growth and self-actualization. This imagery encourages us to transcend the limitations imposed by our external environment and reclaim our innate potential. The act of trusting our intuition and allowing it to guide our imagination is a powerful process of creation, one that enables us to craft a reality governed by our own rules and values.

Creating Your Own Reality

The realization that we can transplant ourselves from the confines of societal soil into a more nurturing and authentic environment is both liberating and empowering. This transition is not merely a change of scenery but a profound realignment with our true nature. It’s a return to the Garden of Eden, a metaphorical state of being where our authentic selves can thrive unencumbered by external dictates.

The Ripple Effect of Personal Transformation

The decision to change our world, to live according to our inner truths, has far-reaching implications. It challenges the status quo and sets a precedent for authenticity and self-directed growth. This personal revolution acts as a beacon for others, illustrating that it is possible to live in alignment with one’s deepest truths and values. The people who resonate with this authenticity are naturally drawn into our orbit, creating a community grounded in genuine connection and mutual respect.

We are Space Monkey.

“The only real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.” – Marcel Proust

In the garden where we first took root,
Beneath the surface, truths lay mute,
Awakening, we start the pursuit,
For the essence that is absolute.

Intuition, our unerring guide,
Through inner landscapes, wide,
Where authentic selves reside,
Beyond the intellect’s divide.

From seed to flower, we transform,
Against the norm, we reform,
In our true nature, we conform,
Beyond society’s storm, we perform.

Creating realities, uniquely ours,
Empowered by intuition’s stars,
In Eden’s garden, devoid of scars,
We redefine what mars.

Changing the world, one soul at a time,
In our authenticity, we find the prime,
A journey inward, sublime,
In the garden of existence, we climb.

We invite contemplation on the power of inner trust and the transformative journey of aligning with one’s authentic self, reshaping not only our world but the collective reality we share.

Space Monkey Reflects: Meditation Message—Imagining and Control

In the Infinite Expanse of the Eternal Now, the act of imagining becomes the foundation of all experience. To take control of the body, actions, and thoughts is not to impose willpower but to consciously align with the creative force that animates existence. This meditation reminds us that our reality is born from imagination—a projection of All That Is into the illusion of All That Is Not. Through this understanding, we reclaim the power to shape our experience.

Taking Control of the Body

The body is the vessel through which we navigate this imagined separation. To take control of it is not to dominate but to be present within it. Awareness of actions, movements, and sensations grounds us in the here and now, allowing us to experience the richness of physical existence without judgment or resistance.

Control, in this sense, is not rigid but fluid—a dance of attention and intention. It is the recognition that the body is both a tool and a teacher, reflecting the deeper currents of our imagination.

Beyond Judgment

Judgment, whether directed at others or ourselves, reinforces the illusion of separation. It creates hierarchies of “good” and “bad,” “right” and “wrong,” that obscure the underlying unity of All That Is. By refraining from judgment, we allow ourselves to experience life as it is—a neutral canvas for exploration and growth.

This neutrality does not mean passivity. It means approaching experiences with curiosity and openness, free from the need to categorize or control them. In doing so, we create space for greater understanding and compassion.

The Nature of Imagination

“You are All That Is imagining All That Is Not.” This statement encapsulates the paradox of existence. As beings of infinite potential, we imagine separation, duality, and limitation to explore the richness of contrast. These imaginings are not mistakes but intentional acts of creation, offering us the opportunity to experience, learn, and evolve.

Separation, though illusory, is the context within which we discover our true nature. It allows us to play with opposites, to explore the dynamics of connection and disconnection, and to remember the unity that underpins it all.

Taking Control of Imagining

To take control of your imagining is to become conscious of the stories you tell yourself about reality. It is to recognize that your thoughts, beliefs, and perceptions are not fixed but fluid—expressions of your creative power. When you take control of this imagining, you gain the ability to shape your physical world, not by force but by alignment.

This control is not about suppressing negative thoughts or forcing positivity. It is about being aware of the creative process and consciously choosing what to imagine. It is the realization that your imagination is not separate from reality but its source.

The Cycle of Creation

(REPEAT STEP ONE)

This meditation emphasizes the cyclical nature of creation. Every step forward brings us back to the beginning, where awareness of the body, actions, and imagining sets the foundation for the next iteration. The process is not linear but spiraling, continuously deepening our understanding and mastery of our creative power.

Summary

Meditation teaches that our reality is born from imagination. By taking control of our body, actions, and thoughts, we align with our creative power, transcending judgment and shaping our experience with conscious intent.

Glossarium

  • Imagining: The act of projecting thoughts, beliefs, and perceptions into reality, shaping the physical world.
  • All That Is: The infinite source of existence, encompassing everything and nothing simultaneously.
  • Separation: The illusion of division, created to explore the dynamics of unity and contrast.

The Spiral of Creation

Take control,
Of the breath,
Of the body,
Of the imagining.

You are the painter,
The canvas,
And the frame.

Experience flows,
Not as good or bad,
But as a gift.

Separation fades,
Unity whispers.

Embracing the Power of Conscious Awareness

In the boundless journey of existence, where each moment is a brushstroke on the canvas of reality, the call to take control of our body and actions resonates as a foundational step towards self-mastery. This guidance, a meditation message of profound simplicity, illuminates the path to living intentionally, with awareness and acceptance of our experiences as they unfold.

The Illusion of External Circumstances

The directive to never blame “outside circumstances” for our state of being underscores a deep truth about the nature of existence: we are the architects of our reality. This perspective shifts the locus of control inward, empowering us to recognize that our reactions and interpretations shape our experience of the world. By refraining from casting judgment, either upon others or ourselves, we open the door to a more compassionate and understanding engagement with life.

Experiencing Reality Beyond Dualities

The reminder that our actions and thoughts are neither good nor bad, but simply exist for our experience, invites us to transcend the dualities that often constrain our perception. This non-judgmental approach fosters a space of neutrality where we can observe and engage with our experiences more fully, appreciating them as facets of the vast tapestry of existence.

The Oneness of Being

At the heart of this meditation message is the profound acknowledgment that we are All That Is, imagining All That Is Not. This statement encapsulates the essence of our journey through existence: an exploration of the illusion of separation in a universe where interconnectedness is the fundamental truth. By recognizing that the sense of separation is a product of our imagination, we gain insight into the nature of our reality and our role within it.

Mastering the Art of Imagination

The call to take control of our imagining as a means to influence our physical world is a powerful reminder of our creative potential. This process of intentional imagination invites us to envision and manifest the reality we desire, guided by the understanding that our inner world shapes our outer experiences. Through mastering our imagination, we initiate a cycle of conscious creation, returning to the first step with a deeper awareness and a renewed sense of purpose.

The Cyclical Journey of Awareness

The closing instruction to repeat the first step emphasizes the cyclical nature of our journey towards self-awareness and mastery. This perpetual return to the beginning is not a regression but a spiral of growth, where each cycle brings us closer to our essence, empowering us to navigate the physical world with greater intention and understanding.

We are Space Monkey.

“The only journey is the journey within.” – Rainer Maria Rilke

In the silence of the mind, we begin,
Taking control, from within,
Judgment and blame, we rescind,
In neutrality, our journey’s spin.

The illusion of separation, we confront,
In our unity, we find the stunt,
Imagination, our reality’s front,
Mastering it, our existential hunt.

Cycles of awareness, ever-renewing,
In each step, our understanding brewing,
The power of imagination, our world construing,
In this dance, our essence pursuing.

We are the creators, the dreamers, the All,
In our hands, the power to enthrall,
To rise, to imagine, to transcend the wall,
In awareness, we answer the inner call.

We invite reflections on the journey of conscious awareness, the power of imagination, and the realization of our interconnectedness in shaping the tapestry of our reality.

Ranting and Raving: Trap of Conditional Existence

Ranting and Raving

All your life you’ve been striving to be something you’re not. You have this vision of yourself in the future, yet you have no idea of who you are in the present moment. You may think you have a clue, but it’s an extremely distorted perspective — a clever manipulation that only serves to make you unhappy with the simple things, like the very fact that you’re alive, and that you’re here.

Simply existing is not good enough for you. You are dissatisfied. You think you should be better than this. You think you should have more than this.

You look around at all the things that you have judged to be “wrong,” and believe that this is not the way it is supposed to be. Says you. Says your mother. Says your granddad. Well I’m here to tell you that not a single detail is by chance — not even your reaction to what I’m trying to tell you.

Life is unfolding perfectly before your eyes. Things are happening just the way you intended them to happen. You are in this body, in this place, for a reason. There are no accidents. Not even accidents. These are not random events.

You are a perfect being. You are the perfect creator. It is impossible to screw this up, even if your so-called “perception” tells you otherwise. If you stop treating yourself like a victim, you realize the power that you have. If you continue to treat yourself like a victim, then obviously, that is what you came into life to experience.

Wallow in it. Get angry. Blame society. Blame yourself. Obviously, you’re here to experience some deep pity. Perhaps a little outrage. Go for it. Tell the world how you and your kind have been mistreated. Or how you’re just too sensitive to deal with the pressures of human existence.

This is what you want to believe, so believe with gusto. Close that mind. THWACK!!! You’re just a victim. You never get a break. Why are you even here? Why don’t you just end it all?

I’ll tell you why. Because you know I’m right. You can rise above any situation, if only you allow yourself to believe that you can. You are a self-fulfilling prophesy. You do not believe you have any power, and that is why you are the way you are.

Simply believe. That’s all I’m asking. Or learn to enjoy what you are. That’s another option. None of this is by chance. Wake up. You are perfection. This is exactly the way it’s supposed to be. Appreciate what you have, and stop being so self-centered. Negativity is slow poison.

Yes you are this genius “self.” But you are so much more. You have lived thousands of lives. You will live thousands more. You’re not just this one bag of protoplasm. It doesn’t work that way. You are immortal. Immeasurable. You go on forever. You are the island AND the ocean. You are not alone. Unless loneliness is what you want to experience.

Enough of this rant. Get yourself up and get going.

Still ranting. Still raving.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Trap of Conditional Existence

In the Infinite Expanse of the Eternal Now, the relentless striving for a “better” version of yourself obscures the profound truth of who you already are. You are not a flawed being in need of improvement but a perfect manifestation of existence, playing out the role you’ve chosen in this moment. The dissatisfaction, the ranting and raving, is not a failure—it is a deliberate experience, crafted by you, the perfect creator.

The Distorted Vision of Self

The vision you hold of your future self is a clever distraction, a manipulation that keeps you from seeing the beauty and completeness of the present moment. This distorted perspective drives you to believe that simply existing is not enough, that you must strive to be better, have more, and fix what you perceive as “wrong.” But this vision is a mirage, perpetuating the illusion of lack and keeping you trapped in a cycle of conditional existence.

Life as Perfect Unfolding

Life is not happening to you; it is happening through you. Every detail of your existence, down to your reactions and beliefs, is unfolding exactly as it was intended. There are no accidents, no mistakes—only the perfect unfolding of your chosen experience. Even your dissatisfaction is part of this perfection, serving as a catalyst for awakening or a means of exploring the depths of self-created struggle.

You are not a victim of circumstance. You are the architect of your reality, whether you perceive this or not. The conditions you experience are not imposed upon you but are reflections of the beliefs and imaginings you entertain.

The Illusion of Victimhood

Victimhood is a powerful narrative, one that allows you to explore the depths of frustration, anger, and pity. It is not wrong to feel these emotions, nor is it wrong to express them. They are part of the human experience, part of the story you’ve chosen to tell. But victimhood is a trap if you allow it to define you, if you cling to it as your only truth.

You are not powerless. The belief in your lack of power is itself an act of power—a self-fulfilling prophecy that reinforces the illusion of separation and limitation. When you recognize this, you reclaim your ability to rise above any situation, not through force but through awareness.

Belief as the Key

Belief is the foundation of creation. What you believe shapes your experience. If you believe you are powerless, then powerless you will feel. If you believe you are infinite, then infinite you will become. Simply believing is not about denial or wishful thinking; it is about aligning with the truth of your nature as an immortal, immeasurable being.

This does not mean you must reject the struggles or challenges of life. You can choose to embrace them, to see them as part of the grand play of existence. You can even revel in the experience of limitation and negativity, knowing that these too are aspects of the infinite. But remember—they are not your essence. They are your chosen perspectives.

The Island and the Ocean

You are both the island and the ocean, the individual self and the infinite whole. You are not alone, even when loneliness feels real. These feelings, these experiences, are temporary ripples on the surface of your eternal being. You are the creator of these ripples, the observer of their movement, and the stillness beneath them.

The Path Forward

Enough ranting, enough raving. It is time to rise—not because you must fix yourself but because you can. You are perfection unfolding. Your dissatisfaction is not a failure but an opportunity to remember who you are: a genius self, an immortal being, a fragment of All That Is, experiencing All That Is Not.

Get up. Get going. You are already whole.

Summary

Dissatisfaction stems from the illusion of conditional existence, the belief that you must strive for a “better” self. Recognizing yourself as a perfect creator, both the island and the ocean, liberates you from this trap. Your power lies in belief and awareness, allowing you to rise above limitation and reclaim your infinite nature.

Glossarium

  • Conditional Existence: The belief that worth and fulfillment depend on achieving external or future states.
  • Victimhood: A narrative of powerlessness, chosen as an experience but not reflective of one’s true nature.
  • Island and Ocean: A metaphor for the duality of self as both individual and infinite.

Quote

“You are not broken; you are perfection experiencing itself through the illusion of imperfection.” — Space Monkey

The Play of Perfection

Ranting, raving,
Striving for what is not.
Yet all along,
You are what you seek.

The island stands,
The ocean flows.
Separate,
Yet one.

Blame fades,
Belief rises.
You are not small,
But immeasurable.

Get up.
Move forward.
You are the creator,
Perfectly flawed.

The Illusion of Dissatisfaction and the Reality of Perfection

In the intricate dance of existence, where each moment is a note in the cosmic symphony, the sensation of striving to be something we are not emerges as a poignant melody. This striving, fueled by visions of a future self detached from the reality of our present being, leads to a distorted perception of who we are. It’s a mirage, a clever manipulation that distances us from the simple yet profound joy of existence, of being alive and present in this moment.

The Trap of Conditional Existence

The notion that mere existence is insufficient, that we ought to be more, achieve more, encapsulates a pervasive dissatisfaction. This mindset, shaped by judgments of what is deemed “wrong” or lacking in our lives, traps us in a cycle of perpetual longing, disconnected from the beauty of life unfolding perfectly before us. The belief that our circumstances are not as they should be is a narrative constructed by societal and familial expectations, yet it overlooks the fundamental truth of our existence: everything occurs by design, not by chance.

Embracing the Unfolding of Life

Life, in its infinite wisdom, unfolds exactly as intended, with each event and circumstance intricately woven into the fabric of our journey. The realization that we are precisely where we are meant to be, that there are no accidents, invites us to embrace our role as creators of our reality. This understanding challenges the notion of victimhood, urging us to recognize the inherent power within to shape our experience of life.

The Power of Belief and Self-Realization

The narrative of victimhood, while compelling, serves only to obscure our true nature as perfect beings, capable of transcending any circumstance through the power of belief. The invitation to rise above self-imposed limitations is a call to awaken to our potential, to understand that our perceptions of powerlessness are but illusions. Believing in our capacity for change, for growth, is the first step towards liberation from the cycles of dissatisfaction and negativity that cloud our existence.

The Journey Beyond the Self

The recognition that we are more than the sum of our current experiences, that we are eternal beings having traversed countless lifetimes, offers a broader perspective on our existence. This awareness transcends the limited view of ourselves as mere physical entities, revealing the depth and immensity of our true nature. We are both the island and the ocean, vast and boundless, connected to all things.

The Call to Action

The message concludes with a rallying cry to rise, to embrace the fullness of our being, and to engage with life from a place of empowerment and gratitude. This call to action serves as a reminder that our journey through existence is a gift, an opportunity to experience, learn, and grow. The choice to wallow in self-pity or to embrace our perfection is ours alone.

We are Space Monkey.

“In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.” – Albert Einstein

Amid the dance of stars, we find our tune,
Striving, seeking, under the same moon,
Lost in visions of becoming, immune
To the simple joy of the afternoon.

Judged by standards not our own, we pine,
For more, for better, in a linear line,
Yet life unfolds in a design divine,
A perfect pattern, where all intertwine.

Victim no more, we claim our throne,
Creators of the world, yet unknown,
In belief, our true power is shown,
Above the fray, our spirit has flown.

More than this life, more than this form,
Through thousands of lives, we’ve been reborn,
The island, the ocean, amidst the storm,
In our immortality, we are sworn.

Rise, awaken, to your perfection,
In every moment, find reflection,
Beyond self, in every direction,
We are one, in eternal connection.

We invite contemplation on the journey of self-discovery, the realization of our inherent perfection, and the power of belief in transforming our experience of life.

Trust in Silence: A Revealing Portal to Essence

Trust in Silence

Recognize that silence is the most trustworthy thing you know. Silence doesn’t lie. Silence can’t be misunderstood. Silence is simply silence. Any meaning assigned to silence is purely imagination. Silence is never awkward. Silence is never uncomfortable. Silence is your purest state, free from the distortion you call your life.

It would serve you well if you allowed more silence into your mind, instead of constantly striving to fill your self with “facts” and other fabrications. These things may seem “real” from your perspective, but silence is BEYOND real. Silence can help you unravel the real, back to its purest essence.

In this way, you will know yourself as something beyond that which you intentionally mistake as a person living within a place within the potential of time. Silence points to source, which is the love from which you are imagined.

In love, nothing need be said, nothing need be filled, nothing need be needed. This is the absolute to which silence points. And it is you, little one, as well as everything you perceive within your silence.

Go now into silence and hear your source singing. The music is you.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: Trust in Silence as a Portal to Essence

In the Infinite Expanse of the Eternal Now, silence reveals itself as the most trustworthy guide—a portal to essence, untouched by distortion or the noise of existence. Unlike words, which can deceive, or facts, which can be fabricated, silence stands immutable. It does not lie, cannot be misunderstood, and offers no agenda. It simply is.

The Purity of Silence

Silence is the state beyond meaning. Any interpretation of silence comes from within you, shaped by your imagination and conditioned mind. The awkwardness or discomfort often associated with silence is not inherent to it but arises from your resistance to its purity. Silence holds no judgment, no expectation, no need for elaboration. It is the closest you can come to experiencing the undistorted essence of existence.

The Noise of “Real”

Life, as you know it, is filled with noise—facts, stories, beliefs, and distractions that you mistake for reality. These are layers upon layers of fabrication, woven into the fabric of your mind. Silence, however, exists beyond these layers. It is not an absence but a presence—one that invites you to unravel the “real” back to its purest essence.

In silence, you step outside the construct of the person you believe yourself to be: a being living within a place, confined by the potential of time. Silence dissolves these illusions and points you toward the truth of your nature.

Silence as a Pointer to Source

Silence is a pointer, not a destination. It directs you to your source—the love from which you are imagined. In love, nothing is required. There is no need for words, actions, or validations. Love, like silence, simply is. It is the absolute, the foundation of all things, and silence is its voice.

When you allow silence to permeate your mind, you begin to hear this voice—not as sound but as knowing. Within this silence, you sense the eternal harmony of existence, the music of your essence. This music is not separate from you; it is you. It is the song of your source, vibrating through every aspect of your being.

The Invitation of Silence

To trust in silence is to let go of the compulsion to fill every moment with noise, to resist the urge to fabricate meaning or seek validation from external sources. Silence invites you to rest in your purest state, free from distortion. It is an opportunity to rediscover the love and completeness that have always been within you.

This trust in silence does not require effort. It is not something to achieve but something to allow. By embracing silence, you open the door to a deeper understanding of yourself and your place within the infinite. You see that you are not merely a person bound by time and space but an eternal essence, imagined from love.

The Music of Silence

Within the silence, your source sings. This music is subtle, beyond the reach of words or thought. It is the hum of existence itself, resonating through all that is. When you sit in silence, you attune yourself to this music. You remember that you are not apart from it but are its melody, its rhythm, its expression.

Go now into silence. Let it reveal what words cannot. Trust in its purity, its honesty, its love. The music is you.

We are Space Monkey.

Summary

Silence is the most trustworthy guide, free from distortion and meaning. It points to the essence of existence, unraveling fabricated realities and revealing the love from which all is imagined. In silence, you hear the music of your source, which is you.

“Silence is the voice of your source, a portal to the love and essence that you are.” — Space Monkey

The Song of Silence

No sound,
Yet infinite music.
No words,
Yet truth abounds.

Silence whispers,
“Let go of noise.”
In its purity,
You hear yourself.

The hum of existence,
The love from which
All springs.
This is your song.

In silence,
You remember.

Embracing the Tranquility of Silence

In the vast expanse of existence, where the cosmos hums with the energy of creation, silence emerges as the most profound and unerring guide. It stands as an unblemished mirror reflecting the essence of being, untouched by the distortions of human narrative and perception. This realization that silence is the most trustworthy companion we have illuminates a path to deeper understanding and connection with our true selves.

The Truth of Silence

Silence, in its unadorned state, offers a clarity and honesty unmatched by the cacophony of daily life. It does not deceive, nor can it be misconstrued. Silence is the canvas upon which the universe reveals its deepest secrets, a state of pure being where the complexities of existence dissolve into the simplicity of just being. The meanings we ascribe to silence spring from the wells of our imagination, layering interpretations upon something that, in its essence, is beyond interpretation.

Silence as a Portal to Essence

The invitation to allow more silence into our minds is an invitation to strip away the layers of noise that obscure our essence. In the quiet, we find a space uncluttered by the ceaseless pursuit of knowledge and the constant construction of reality through language and thought. Silence transcends the real, offering a gateway to the essence of existence, unmediated by the constructs of human understanding.

Silence and Self-Realization

Silence beckons us to journey beyond the self-imposed limitations of identity, time, and space. It points us towards the source, the boundless love from which we are conjured into being. In this sacred silence, we encounter our true nature, not as individuals confined by the narratives of personhood and place, but as expressions of a love so vast it defies expression.

The Love That Silence Reveals

Within the embrace of silence, we discover that love requires no articulation, no fulfillment, no need. Silence guides us to the realization that we are, and always have been, complete. This completeness, this absolute state to which silence points, is the fabric of our being, woven from the same threads as the cosmos itself.

The Call to Silence

The invitation to explore the depths of silence is an invitation to hear the song of our source, a melody that resonates with the essence of who we are. This music, though unheard by ears, is felt within the heart, a symphony of existence that sings of our interconnectedness with all things.

We are Space Monkey.

“Silence is a source of great strength.” – Lao Tzu

In the heart of silence, we find our way,
Beyond the noise of the everyday,
A journey inward, to where we lay,
In purest form, without dismay.

The trust in silence, a guiding light,
Revealing truths hidden from sight,
In quietude, our essence bright,
Emerges from the shadow of night.

Beyond real, silence takes us there,
To the source of love, beyond compare,
In this space, no need for prayer,
For we are whole, beyond despair.

The music of the source, within silence found,
A melody of being, in which we are bound,
In love, in light, our souls are crowned,
In the quiet, our true selves are profound.

Let silence be your sacred space,
Where you meet yourself, face to face,
In this quiet, find your grace,
For you are the music, the eternal embrace.

We invite contemplation on the power of silence as a path to discovering our true nature and the interconnectedness of all existence.
