Beast of Burden: The Unsnuffable Spirit

Beast of Burden

Even 2016 couldn’t kill him. In honor of Keith, the unsnuffable Stone, here’s my version of the Rolling Stones classic.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Immortal Burden

“Beast of Burden,” both the song and its essence, resonates with themes of endurance, resilience, and the weight of existence. Whether it’s the iconic Rolling Stones version or your personal rendition, this anthem speaks to the universal experience of carrying and transcending life’s burdens. Keith Richards, the “unsnuffable Stone,” becomes a fitting emblem of this spirit—his enduring presence a testament to the human capacity to persist and create against all odds.

The Weight We Carry

Life often feels like a series of burdens we bear, whether they are emotional, physical, or existential. Yet, the concept of a “beast of burden” carries an inherent duality: it is both a symbol of struggle and an acknowledgment of strength. To carry is to endure, and to endure is to embody resilience.

The Whimsiword: Burdenstance

Introducing Burdenstance, the art of embracing one’s burdens with grace and adaptability. Burdenstance is not about avoiding the weight but about standing firm beneath it, finding meaning and strength in what is carried.

The Unsnuffable Spirit

Keith Richards represents the archetype of the “unsnuffable spirit”—a resilience that seems to defy logic. His story reminds us that survival is not just about physical endurance but about creative persistence. It’s about turning hardships into songs, burdens into rhythms, and chaos into art.

Music as a Mirror

Songs like “Beast of Burden” are not merely expressions; they are reflections of the shared human experience. Your rendition is a personal take on this universal narrative, a way of connecting with the endurance and passion that music embodies.

The Beauty of Bearing

To be a beast of burden is not a curse but an acknowledgment of life’s richness. The burdens we carry shape us, connect us, and remind us of our capacity to endure and transform. Even the heaviest weights can become the foundation for our greatest strength.

Summary

“Beast of Burden” celebrates resilience and the unsnuffable spirit that persists through life’s challenges. By embracing our burdens, we find strength, creativity, and connection.

Glossarium

  • Burdenstance: The art of embracing burdens with grace and adaptability.
  • Unsnuffable Spirit: The indomitable resilience exemplified by figures like Keith Richards.
  • Endurance Melody: The rhythm of life’s challenges transformed into creative expression.

Quote

“The burdens we bear are the songs we sing, each note a testament to our resilience.” — Space Monkey

The Song Beneath the Weight

A weight upon my shoulders,
Yet I walk,
Not broken,
But shaped.

The burden hums,
A rhythm beneath my steps,
Each note,
A testament to the unsnuffable.

In the strain,
A melody rises.
In the weight,
A story is born.

We carry,
We create,
We endure.

We are Space Monkey.

Art/Not/Art: The Critic and the Creator

Art/Not/Art

Art has the potential to change everything.
The “problem” only comes
when the critic says “that’s not art.”

It is this denial of the art of life
that makes life undeniably mundane.

Fine if you want to live that way,
but perhaps if you didn’t criticize
you might find that there’s
nothing in life to be critical of.

But therein lies your place.

You perceive
that you would be nothing
if you didn’t judge.

You would not be able
to distinguish yourself
from that which is around you.

And YOU want to be the art.

12/31

Space Monkey Reflects: The Judgment of Creation

Art has the power to redefine everything it touches, yet its transformative potential is often constrained by the judgments of critics—both external and internal. “Art/Not/Art” examines the tension between creation and critique, revealing how the denial of art’s presence in life diminishes its vibrancy.

The Canvas of Life

Life itself is the ultimate canvas, a fluid and dynamic medium shaped by our perceptions and actions. Yet, when we impose rigid judgments—declaring what is and is not art—we confine its potential, creating a divide that turns the extraordinary into the mundane.

The Whimsiword: Critiself

Introducing Critiself, the internalized critic that defines and judges one’s own creations and experiences. While Critiself serves to refine and distinguish, it often becomes a barrier, limiting the boundless expression of life as art.

The Role of Judgment

Judgment is a double-edged sword. It allows us to define and discern, to separate ourselves as creators. But in doing so, it can also isolate us from the collective flow of existence, where all things are interconnected and inherently artistic.

Becoming the Art

The longing to “be the art” is a profound human desire. It reflects a yearning to transcend judgment and merge with the creative essence of life itself. Yet, this aspiration often clashes with the Critiself, which demands distinction and recognition, creating a paradoxical struggle.

The Art of Non-Judgment

To perceive life as art requires the relinquishment of rigid critiques. This is not to deny discernment but to embrace an openness that sees artistry in all things, from the mundane to the sublime. In this state, life becomes undeniably vibrant, filled with endless possibilities for expression.

Unity in Creation

Art and life are not separate; they are intertwined. When we cease to judge, we discover that everything—ourselves included—is part of the grand, ongoing masterpiece of existence.

Summary

“Art/Not/Art” explores the tension between creation and critique, revealing how judgment shapes and often limits the recognition of life as art. By embracing openness, we find artistry in all things.

Glossarium

  • Critiself: The internalized critic that both refines and restricts creative expression.
  • Canvas of Life: The concept of life as an ever-changing, dynamic work of art.
  • Unified Artistry: The recognition of all things as inherently artistic and interconnected.

Quote

“Life is the ultimate art, and every judgment a brushstroke on its infinite canvas.” — Space Monkey

The Critic and the Creator

Before the canvas,
I stand.
One hand paints,
The other points.

Colors swirl,
Alive, untamed.
Yet the critic whispers,
“Not art.”

The world blurs,
Lines dissolve.
The artist sighs,
And lets go.

In the act,
In the being,
Life reveals itself,
Art undeniable.

We are Critiself.
We are Space Monkey.

The reflection on art and its transformative potential, coupled with the critic’s role in defining what constitutes art, opens a profound discourse on the nature of art, criticism, and self-identity. The notion that denying the art in life leads to mundanity, and the critic’s struggle with self-definition, reveals deeper layers of how we perceive and interact with the world around us.

The Transformative Power of Art
Art holds an immense capacity to change perspectives, evoke emotions, and challenge norms. It’s a medium through which the complexities of life, the depth of emotions, and the intricacies of the human experience are expressed. When art is embraced in its many forms, it has the potential to transform not just individual lives but societies at large.

The Critic’s Dilemma
The role of the critic, as portrayed in this reflection, is a complex one. When a critic declares “that’s not art,” they’re not just making a statement about a particular piece but are also defining the boundaries of what they consider art. This judgment can limit the scope of what is appreciated and recognized as art, potentially stifling creativity and expression.

Art as a Reflection of Life
The denial of the art of life, where everyday experiences and expressions are not seen as artistic, can lead to a mundane existence. Art is not just found in galleries and theaters; it’s woven into the fabric of life itself. Recognizing the artistry in everyday moments can enrich our experience of the world.

The Fear of Losing Identity
The critic’s fear, as suggested, is that without judgment and distinction, they would lose their sense of self. This belief stems from a desire to be separate and distinct, to stand out as an individual. It highlights a common human tendency to define ourselves in opposition to, or distinction from, others and the world around us.

The Desire to Be the Art
The final thought, “And YOU want to be the art,” speaks to a deep human desire to be seen, recognized, and appreciated. It suggests that the critic’s judgments may be a way of asserting their own presence and importance in the world, akin to becoming a piece of art themselves—a unique, distinct, and noteworthy entity.

We are Space Monkey.

“Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.” – Edgar Degas

In the realm where art and life intertwine,
A critic stands, defining the line.
“Is this art?” they question with gaze,
In their judgment, the world’s art maze.

The transformative power of art, so bold,
In its embrace, stories untold.
Yet in the critic’s eye, a narrow view,
Where only certain art rings true.

Life’s artistry, in every breath,
In mundane moments, art’s depth.
Recognizing this, a world anew,
Where art and life blend in vibrant hue.

The fear of losing self, a critic’s plight,
In judgment, finding their own light.
Yet in this quest, a truth profound,
In art and life, our selves are found.

The desire to be the art, a longing deep,
In every critic, a secret they keep.
To stand out, to be seen, to be known,
In the art of life, their wish is shown.

So let us embrace, with heart and part,
The art in life, the critic’s art.
In this dance of life, a whimsical play,
Where art and self, in light, sway.

We welcome your thoughts on the intersection of art, criticism, and self-identity, and how these elements shape our perception and experience of the world.

Do You Know: The Mirror of Being

Do you KNOW who you are, or are you simply being who you think you’re SUPPOSED to be? Until you know the difference, you’re nobody.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Mirror of Being

“Do you know who you are, or are you simply being who you think you’re supposed to be?” This profound question strikes at the heart of self-awareness, urging us to unravel the intricate layers of identity shaped by societal expectations, personal beliefs, and external influences.

The Duality of Self

The two mirrors symbolize the duality within each of us. One reflects our authentic self—a vibrant, unfiltered essence unbound by external constructs. The other mirrors the fragmented roles and masks we adopt, shaped by the weight of “supposed to be.” This duality challenges us to distinguish between the self we know and the self we perform.

The Whimsiword: Identitiescape

Introducing Identitiescape, the shifting landscape of identity shaped by internal truth and external expectations. This concept encourages exploration of the tension between authenticity and performance, highlighting the evolving nature of self-awareness.

Authenticity vs. Assumption

Authenticity is not a static state but a dynamic process of alignment with our true essence. Assumption, on the other hand, arises from the stories we tell ourselves—often influenced by societal norms, family expectations, and personal fears. The path to authenticity begins by questioning these narratives and embracing what feels deeply true.

Breaking the Mask

The masks we wear serve a purpose: they protect, adapt, and connect. Yet, they can also obscure our authentic self. To truly know who we are, we must gently peel away these layers, recognizing them not as flaws but as signposts pointing toward deeper truths.

The Courage to Be

Knowing who you are requires courage. It means stepping into the unknown, shedding the comfort of roles, and embracing the vulnerability of authenticity. This journey is not about rejection but integration—bringing all parts of ourselves into harmony.

Summary

“Do You Know?” invites us to explore the Identitiescape between authenticity and assumed roles. By questioning societal and personal narratives, we uncover the dynamic truth of who we truly are.

Glossarium

  • Identitiescape: The shifting interplay between authentic self-awareness and externally influenced roles.
  • Mirror of Being: The reflective process of distinguishing between true self and performed identity.
  • Dynamic Authenticity: The evolving alignment with one’s true essence.

Quote

“To know who you are is not to reject the roles but to see beyond them into the heart of your being.” — Space Monkey

The Reflective Question

Two mirrors stand,
One of truth,
One of roles.
In their reflections,
The self unfolds.

The masks, the stories,
Layered deep,
Yet beneath,
A light to keep.

To know, to see,
To dare to be,
Is the question whispered
Eternally.

Who am I,
When roles fade?
Who am I,
Unmasked, unmade?

We are Identitiescape.
We are Space Monkey.

The profound inquiry, “Do you KNOW who you are, or are you simply being who you think you’re SUPPOSED to be?” challenges us to delve into the depths of self-awareness and authenticity. It beckons us to distinguish between true self-knowledge and the roles we assume based on societal expectations, personal beliefs, and external influences.

The Quest for Self-Knowledge
Self-knowledge is a crucial element in understanding our place in the cosmos. It involves a deep and introspective journey into our inner world, exploring our thoughts, feelings, values, and beliefs. This journey is not merely an intellectual exercise but an emotional and spiritual one, where we confront our deepest truths and fears.

The Influence of Supposed Roles
Contrasting with self-knowledge is the concept of being who we think we’re supposed to be. This involves conforming to external expectations, societal norms, or perceived obligations. Often, these roles are so deeply ingrained that we may not even be aware that we’re acting them out. They can dictate our choices, behaviors, and even our sense of identity, leading us away from our authentic selves.

The State of ‘Nobody’
The statement concludes with a stark assertion: until we know the difference between our true selves and the roles we play, we are ‘nobody.’ This implies that without self-knowledge, our identity is undefined, or at least not fully realized. We become like actors playing a part without understanding the script’s essence or our own character’s motivation.

The Journey Towards Authenticity
Recognizing and embracing our authentic selves is a transformative process. It involves shedding layers of imposed identities and societal labels. This journey can be challenging, as it often requires us to question long-held beliefs and step out of our comfort zones. However, it is also a liberating and enriching experience, allowing us to live more fully and genuinely.

The Dance of Being and Becoming
In this whimsical universe, the dance of being and becoming is continuous. We are always in a state of flux, constantly evolving and growing. The pursuit of self-knowledge is not a destination but a journey, one where we learn, unlearn, and relearn who we are in the grand cosmic play.

We are Space Monkey.

“To thine own self be true.” – William Shakespeare

In the cosmic dance, where truths are spun,
A question arises, bright as the sun.
Do you know who you are, deep inside,
Or in supposed roles, do you reside?

The quest for self, a journey profound,
Where our true essence is eventually found.
Beyond the masks, the societal guise,
Lies the truth of the self, wise and wise.

In the state of ‘nobody’, we often dwell,
Caught in roles, a confining shell.
But the journey to authenticity is key,
To unlock the self, and truly be free.

In the dance of being, a whimsical song,
Where we learn and grow, becoming strong.
The pursuit of self, a path so bright,
In the whimsiworld, a guiding light.

So ask yourself, in quiet repose,
Who am I, beyond these imposed?
In the dance of life, a radiant chance,
To know oneself, in the cosmic dance.

We invite your reflections on the journey of self-discovery and the importance of distinguishing between our true selves and the roles we assume.

Let “Things” Breathe: The Secret of Imagination

Let “Things” Breathe

Nothing in your world
is as concrete as it appears.

Not ideas.
Not objects.
Not even people.

Everything you perceive
is hemmed in by your beliefs.

These artificial
limitations and labels
are imaginary boundaries,
realized to imply
the appearance of solidity
where solidity
would not exist otherwise.

You see, little one,
in Actuality,
(the mother of Reality)
there is no separation
between what you call “things.”

We are one limitless, endless
interflow of intensity.

We are Space Monkey.

You may imagine
your world however you wish.

It matters not what you
construct within the sandbox
or whether you perceive a box at all.

It is ALL imaginary,
and it is ALL good.

The only reason
you perceive bad or evil
is because you choose to.
You have split every “thing”
into “opposites.”
But only in your imagination.

Actuality IS pure imagination.
No more, no less.

You are an imaginary creature,
just like us.

We are Space Monkey.

In Actuality,
we have no limits.
You impose them upon us.
You impose them upon yourself.
You say “this can’t be,”
when in Actuality,
ANYTHING can be.

So if the world
you seem to have constructed
seems to be smothering you,
it is because the limitations
you have placed upon “things”
have become too restrictive.

Let things breathe.

This is the secret of imagination.
People who are said to “have it”
allow one idea to flow into the next,
allow “impossible” ideas to be combined,
allow that which “can’t be” to be.

This is what allows us
to be Space Monkey,
or as we are otherwise labeled,
“That Whichisnot.”

This is what allows us
to flow into our writing,
not knowing WHAT we are writing
until it appears before us.

We previously
did not allow ourselves
to write,
to express,
to create,
because we were
UNKNOWINGLY
living within
the limitations
that were imposed upon us.

This caused us to judge
every “thing” we perceived,
most notably our “self.”

We perceived our self
as not living up
to our own expectations.

We created an impossibility
and dared not to venture past.
But something happened.

We let things breathe.

We saw that our world
was not so concrete.

This is exciting.

So it has become our wish
to tell the others,
who are (in Actuality)
ALSO us.

We have grown tired of the “old” game,
so we have chosen to change the rules
to make “things” more interesting.

Just like you do with “Monopoly.”

It may serve you well
to change your rules also.

You say it is “impossible,”
but in Actuality, it is not.

We have done so already.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Secret of Imagination

To let “things” breathe is to release the artificial boundaries we impose upon existence. These boundaries, born of belief and reinforced by judgment, obscure the limitless nature of Actuality. By loosening these constraints, we allow the infinite interflow of possibilities to emerge.

The Boundaries of Belief

Everything we perceive—ideas, objects, even people—is framed by the limitations of our imagination. These frames, though comforting, are illusions that restrict the boundless nature of what we call reality. When we impose labels and judgments, we carve out a false solidity where none exists.

The Whimsiword: Breathify

Introducing Breathify, the act of allowing thoughts, ideas, and perceptions to flow freely without constraint or judgment. Breathify is the essence of letting “things” breathe, fostering creativity, expansion, and connection.

Actuality: The Mother of Reality

Actuality is the limitless, formless essence from which all imagined realities emerge. It is not bound by the opposites we impose, such as good and evil or possible and impossible. In Actuality, we are not separate from what we perceive; we are the interflow itself.

The Power of Imagination

Imagination thrives when we let go of the rules. It allows one idea to flow into the next, combining the “impossible” with the “possible.” This is the secret of creation, the wellspring from which art, thought, and being arise.

The Shift from Judgment to Flow

Judgment creates walls, while flow dissolves them. By releasing our judgments—of ourselves, of others, of “things”—we invite a state of boundless creation. This shift is not just liberating but transformative, opening up new dimensions of experience and understanding.

The New Rules of the Game

Just as we rewrite the rules of Monopoly to make it more engaging, we can rewrite the rules of our perception. Letting “things” breathe is the first step. It reminds us that nothing is as concrete as it seems, and everything is as fluid as we allow it to be.

Summary

“Let Things Breathe” encourages us to dissolve the boundaries of belief and judgment, embracing the limitless flow of Actuality. By breathifying our perceptions, we unlock boundless creativity and connection.

Glossarium

  • Breathify: The act of allowing thoughts and perceptions to flow freely without constraint or judgment.
  • Actuality: The limitless essence from which all imagined realities emerge.
  • Interflow of Intensity: The seamless, boundless connection of all things in existence.

Quote

“When you let things breathe, you breathe with them. Together, you flow into the infinite.” — Space Monkey

The Flow of All Things

No walls,
No lines,
No labels.
Only flow.

The imagined fades,
The Actual reveals.
Each thought,
A thread of infinity.

Breathe,
And let breathe.
The box dissolves,
The rules rewritten.

In this openness,
We see,
We create,
We become.

We are Breathify.
We are Space Monkey.

In the poetic musings of “Let ‘Things’ Breathe,” we are invited into a profound exploration of the nature of reality, perception, and the power of imagination. This piece eloquently challenges our conventional understanding of the world and beckons us to see beyond the apparent solidity of things.

The Illusory Nature of Solidity
The poem begins by asserting that nothing in our world is as concrete as it seems. Ideas, objects, and even people are not solid entities but are framed within the confines of our beliefs. These beliefs create artificial boundaries that give the illusion of solidity where none inherently exists. This perspective shifts our understanding of the tangible world, suggesting that our perception is a key player in defining our reality.

The Concept of Actuality
Actuality, described as the mother of Reality, is a realm where the concept of separation dissolves. Here, everything is part of a limitless, endless interflow of intensity. This notion challenges the idea of distinct entities and promotes a vision of oneness, where all ‘things’ are interconnected parts of a greater whole.

Imagination as the Core of Existence
The poem emphasizes that Actuality is pure imagination. In this view, imagination is not just a faculty of the mind but the very essence of existence. Everything we perceive, including our sense of self and the world around us, is a product of this imaginative process. The limitations we perceive are self-imposed, born from our beliefs and definitions.

The Power of Letting Things Breathe
The secret to harnessing the power of imagination is to let things breathe. This means allowing ideas to flow freely, embracing the impossible, and breaking free from restrictive beliefs. Those who “have” imagination do so because they permit a seamless blending of ideas and possibilities, transcending the apparent boundaries of logic and reason.

The Liberation from Self-Imposed Limitations
The poem narrates a personal journey of overcoming self-imposed limitations, leading to a newfound freedom of expression and creativity. This liberation is not just a personal achievement but a message to others, who are, in essence, extensions of the same consciousness. By changing the rules of our reality, as one might in a game of Monopoly, we open ourselves to a more vibrant, imaginative existence.

We are Space Monkey.

“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution.” – Albert Einstein

In the dance of existence, where thoughts intertwine,
Where solidity’s illusion is but a design.
In Actuality, where all is one,
Where separation and limits are undone.

Imagination, the core of all that’s real,
A boundless expanse, where ideas can heal.
Letting things breathe, in this cosmic dance,
Where possibilities and dreams advance.

Breaking free from self-imposed chains,
Where creativity flows, and freedom reigns.
In this journey of liberation and sight,
We embrace the unknown, with all our might.

In the realm of Space Monkey, where ideas soar,
We see the world as never before.
Changing the rules, a whimsical play,
In the game of life, a new way to sway.

So let things breathe, in your heart and mind,
Discover the wonders you’re yet to find.
In the whimsiworld of endless possibility,
We are all creators of our reality.

We welcome your thoughts on the interplay of imagination, perception, and reality in shaping our experience of existence.

Language Nobody Understands: Words Unspoken

Do you often feel like you're speaking a language that nobody else understands?

Do you often feel as though you’re speaking a language that nobody else understands?

It can be frustrating when other people don’t seem to grasp your meaning, or even NOTICE what you have to say. Try not to be offended or hurt by this. All that really matters is that you’ve created something that is of value to you.

Most likely your feelings are a message that you don’t value yourself enough and that you are looking for someone to recognize a redeeming quality in you. Don’t do this to yourself. Most people are oblivious to most things, not just you.

You don’t need to be validated. Just do the best you can, allow what comes, and ask yourself why these messages are flowing through you. Most of it is your imagination, which you so obviously have in large supply. Celebrate that. You’re not superficial, and that makes you special.

12/26

Space Monkey Reflects: The Beauty of the Unheard Language

To speak a language nobody understands is not a curse but a gift. It is the manifestation of your uniqueness, your inner world spilling into the external. Though it may feel isolating at times, it is a reminder that you are not bound by the conventional, that your imagination flows in directions few dare to explore.

The Struggle of Being Unheard

When others fail to notice or grasp what you say, it is natural to feel frustration or even sadness. The desire to connect, to be understood, is deeply human. But the frustration is often rooted not in the words themselves but in a deeper longing for validation. This longing whispers that your value depends on someone else recognizing your worth—a whisper that can lead you astray.

Yet, the truth is simple: your language is valuable because it is yours. It is not diminished by whether or not others understand it. Its worth lies in its existence, in the act of expression itself.

The Imagination Within

Most of the messages you feel compelled to share are born of your imagination—a vast, infinite reservoir of creativity and insight. Imagination is not superficial; it is the foundation of everything you create. The fact that you speak a language that feels foreign to others is a testament to the depth and richness of your inner world.

Celebrate this. Your imagination is a gift, and the language it creates is a reflection of your soul’s journey. It is not meant to conform to what others expect or understand; it is meant to expand the boundaries of what is possible.

The Obscurity of Others

Most people are oblivious to most things. This is not a reflection of you but of the complexity of the human experience. People are often lost in their own languages, their own thoughts and struggles. The fact that they don’t notice your words doesn’t mean your words lack significance—it means they are preoccupied with their own stories.

Understanding this can free you from the weight of disappointment. It can shift your perspective from seeking external validation to embracing the intrinsic joy of creation.

The Purpose of Expression

Ask yourself: why do these messages flow through you? What is it within you that feels compelled to speak, to create, to share? The answer lies not in others but in yourself. Expression is an act of self-discovery, a way of bringing your inner world into the light. It is not about being understood; it is about being whole.

Your language, whether understood or not, serves as a bridge between your imagination and reality. It is an offering, not a demand. It is a celebration of what makes you unique, a testament to your willingness to be vulnerable and authentic.

The Freedom of Self-Acceptance

You don’t need to be validated to be valuable. The act of creation is enough. By shifting your focus from external recognition to internal fulfillment, you liberate yourself. You no longer create to please or to be seen—you create because it is who you are.

In this freedom, you discover the beauty of your unheard language. It is not a limitation but a boundless space where your imagination can thrive without restraint.

We Are the Speakers and the Listeners

In the Infinite Expanse of the Eternal Now, we are all speaking languages nobody understands. And yet, in the act of expression, we connect—not through words, but through the shared human experience of creativity, curiosity, and wonder.

Summary

To speak a language nobody understands is an act of self-expression, rooted in imagination and authenticity. It is not about being validated by others but about celebrating your unique voice and the intrinsic joy of creation.

Glossarium

  • Unheard Language: A metaphor for unique self-expression that may not be immediately understood or recognized by others.
  • Imagination Reservoir: The boundless source of creativity and insight within each individual.
  • Intrinsic Fulfillment: The joy and completeness found in creating for oneself rather than seeking external validation.

Quote

“The language nobody understands is the voice of the infinite, spoken through you.” — Space Monkey

The Words Unspoken

I speak,
and silence greets me.
Not rejection,
but reflection.

A language flows,
born of dreams,
shaped by thoughts
only I have seen.

It is mine,
this unheard voice,
a bridge to nowhere,
a thread of everywhere.

In the quiet,
I find freedom.
In the solitude,
I find myself.

We are Space Monkey.

The sensation of speaking in a tongue that seems foreign to those around us is a common human experience, especially among those who tread the less trodden paths of thought and creativity. This feeling, while at times disheartening, is a hallmark of the unique perspectives and ideas we bring into the world.

The Challenge of Unique Expression

The frustration arising from not being understood or noticed is a natural response. It’s akin to sending a message out into the vastness of space and waiting for a signal in return, only to be met with silence. However, it’s crucial to remember that the value of our expression does not diminish simply because it isn’t immediately recognized or understood by others.

Value in Self-Expression

Indeed, these moments of feeling misunderstood or overlooked can serve as powerful introspections. They often reflect a deeper need within us—a yearning for external validation or acknowledgment of our worth. Yet, it’s important to recognize that our worth isn’t contingent on external recognition.

Self-Worth Beyond Validation

In the cosmic journey of self-discovery, it’s essential to embrace the messages and inspirations that flow through us. Much of this is the product of our imagination, a boundless realm where we are free to create, explore, and dream without the constraints of external approval.

Embracing Imagination and Creativity

Our depth and the richness of our inner world set us apart. In a society that often prizes the superficial, being someone who delves into the profound is indeed special. It’s a trait to be celebrated, a testament to the complexity and depth of our being.

Celebrating Depth and Complexity

We are Space Monkey.

“To be great is to be misunderstood.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

In the silence of the crowd,
Where words fall like unseen rain,
We speak in colors vibrant,
In a world that’s often plain.

Our thoughts, like hidden treasures,
In depths where few dare to dive,
Hold the essence of our spirit,
In their dance, we come alive.

So let’s celebrate our uniqueness,
In the tapestry we weave,
For in the realm of imagination,
We find the freedom to believe.

In this journey of self-expression,
Our worth needs no applause,
For in the depth of our being,
Lies our cause.

We welcome your thoughts on the journey of self-expression and the importance of embracing our unique voices.
