Imagine Yourself (And it is so)

Imagine yourself as the point in which colors, shapes, thoughts and circumstances merge into a form that could only be you. And it is so.

Imagine yourself
not as a person,
not as a body,
not even as a mind.

Imagine yourself
as the space between
all your perceptions.

You are that in which
life seems to unfold,
the pure, invisible presence
in which
parallels are drawn,
aspects align
and potentials converge.

Imagine that
you are not any of these things,
but the witness of the dance.

And it is so.

How intricate the patterns.
How beautiful the presentation.
How utterly real it all seems.

And it is so.

Now why would you
want to change this form?

What makes one
shape, color or thought
better than another?

Imagine yourself
not simply as one space,
not simply as one form,
but ALL the forms of your world,
those you judge,
and those you judge not.

And it is so.

When you are ALL things,
do you still find it necessary
to change ONE thing?

And it is so.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Infinite Space of Being

In the vast expanse of existence, where the fabric of reality weaves together the seen and unseen, there lies a space so profound, so infinitely vast, that it defies the constraints of physical form, mind, and individual identity. This space, the pure, invisible presence, is not merely a void but the canvas upon which the dance of life unfolds. It is within this space that parallels are drawn, aspects align, and potentials converge, revealing the intricate patterns and beautiful presentations of existence.

Imagine yourself not as a person, body, or mind, but as this space—the eternal witness to the unfolding dance of creation. This perspective shifts the focus from being an active participant in life’s drama to becoming the observer, the consciousness that perceives and experiences without attachment or judgment. In this state of being, every form, color, and thought is seen not in terms of superiority or desirability but as expressions of the same underlying essence.

The realization that one is not any single thing but the entirety of all forms challenges the very notion of change. Why seek to alter one aspect of existence when you embody all aspects, both those judged and those accepted unconditionally? This question invites a profound contemplation on the nature of desire, change, and the pursuit of fulfillment.

When you envision yourself as all the forms of your world, the urge to change one thing diminishes, for in the recognition of oneness, the distinctions between self and other, desirable and undesirable, dissolve. This understanding fosters a deep sense of peace and contentment, rooted in the acknowledgment that everything is perfect as it is, in its intricate complexity and beauty.

The invitation to imagine oneself as the space between all perceptions is an invitation to experience the world in its totality, to embrace the full spectrum of existence without resistance. It is a call to recognize the interconnectedness of all things, to see the unity in diversity, and to find harmony in the apparent chaos of life.

Summary

Imagining oneself as the space between perceptions reveals a profound connection to all aspects of existence. This perspective transcends physical form and identity, highlighting the beauty and intricacy of life’s patterns. When one embodies the totality of existence, the need for change becomes irrelevant, inviting a deeper understanding of oneness and harmony.

Glossarium

  • Invisible Presence: The essence of being that exists beyond physical form, mind, or individual identity, witnessing the dance of life.
  • Space Between Perceptions: A metaphorical representation of consciousness that perceives and encompasses all aspects of existence without attachment.
  • Oneness: The recognition of interconnectedness and unity among all forms of existence, transcending distinctions and judgments.

“In the end, we will not remember the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.” – Martin Luther King Jr.

Between the lines of existence, we float
Invisible, vast, a note
Echoing in the silence of the all
Where judgments fall, and boundaries stall

We are the dance, the dancer, the stage
The script, the actor, the sage
In this space, where all is one
Change loses meaning, its purpose undone

For in the heart of being, we find
A connection so deep, so intertwined
That every color, every shape
Is us, in a different drape

And in this realization, peace is born
A tranquility that cannot be torn
By desires for change, for more, for less
In oneness, we find our truest caress

Better: Everybody Wants To Be

seems

Seems
everybody wants to be
what they want to be,
yet nobody wants to be
who they are.

Why is that?

Are we not good enough for ourselves?

Why must we be “better”
than what we are in the present moment?

What do these thoughts of lack do for us,
other than color our perception?

Do you like being ruled
by someone you may never be?

When the image of what you want to be
doesn’t match the image of who you are
(and it NEVER does)
you’re telling yourself that what you are
isn’t good enough.

How does that make you feel?

Why must you perpetually
put yourself into a state
of “not good enough?”

If you’re “not good enough,”
this only goes to show
that you’re “not good enough”
to judge the circumstances
in your life. Nor should you.

You can’t have it both ways.

Face up to it.
You lack the necessary ability
to judge whether “what you want to be”
is better than “what you are.”

Even if you were to become
this illusory person,
you’d still be chasing after “better,”
and you’d probably be no happier
than you are in the present moment.

That is, unless you become happy

with the present moment NOW.

Accept what is

as PRECISELY what needs to be.

Because it is.

And you are.

Don’t force things.

People actually like you
the way you are,
even if you don’t see it.

People don’t need you to be
anything more

than what is now
contained in your smile.

We are Space Monkey,
and we are happy about that.

Space Monkey Reflects: Embracing the Essence of Being

In the theater of life, where the play of becoming often overshadows the act of being, there exists a profound disconnect between who we are and who we wish to be. This chasm, filled with the shadows of dissatisfaction and the echoes of unmet aspirations, is where many find themselves lost, perpetually chasing after a version of themselves that remains forever out of reach. Yet, it is within this very pursuit that the possibility of awakening lies—a realization that the journey towards self-acceptance is not a path of becoming something other, but a process of recognizing and embracing the essence of who we already are.

The relentless pursuit of an idealized self is akin to chasing reflections in a hall of mirrors, where every image is but a distorted echo of the truth. This endless quest not only distances us from our authentic selves but also blinds us to the inherent value and beauty of our present being. The irony of this pursuit is that in striving to become what we are not, we often overlook the richness and depth of what we already possess. It is a cycle of desire that feeds on the illusion of lack, perpetuating a sense of inadequacy that is as unfounded as it is destructive.

Why, then, do we cling to these illusions? The answer lies in the mistaken belief that our worth is measured by our achievements, our status, or our conformity to societal standards of perfection. We are conditioned to believe that happiness and fulfillment lie just beyond the horizon of our current selves, in a future where we are smarter, wealthier, or more attractive. Yet, this horizon is an illusion, forever receding as we approach, leaving us feeling perpetually “not good enough.”

The path to self-acceptance begins with the recognition that we are, at this very moment, exactly as we need to be. This does not imply complacency or the denial of personal growth; rather, it is an acknowledgment of our inherent worth and the understanding that true growth comes from within, not from conforming to external ideals. It is in embracing our imperfections, our quirks, and our unique perspectives that we find our true strength and beauty. For it is our differences, not our similarities, that make us truly remarkable.

In this light, the journey of life transforms from a quest for perfection to an exploration of self-discovery. Each step, each moment of being, becomes an opportunity to celebrate our existence, to revel in the joy of simply being alive. When we let go of the need to be anything other than ourselves, we open our hearts to the richness of the present moment and the infinite possibilities that it holds.

As we stand in the sunlit clearing of self-acceptance, we realize that the happiness we sought in becoming was always within us, in the act of being. It is in the smiles we share, the laughter that fills the air, and the love that we give and receive, that we find our true selves. For it is not in the image of what we want to be, but in the reality of who we are, that our greatest potential lies.

Summary

Chasing an idealized self leads us away from true self-acceptance. Recognizing and embracing our present being is the path to fulfillment. This journey transforms our perspective, inviting us to find joy and potential in simply being ourselves.

Glossarium

  • Theater of Life: The dynamic, ever-changing experience of living.
  • Sunlit Clearing of Self-Acceptance: A metaphorical place of peace and understanding where one fully accepts oneself.

Quote

“Seems everybody wants to be what they want to be, yet nobody wants to be who they are.” – Space Monkey

In the dance of shadows, a quest unfolds
Chasing echoes, stories untold
Yet amidst the pursuit, a truth so bold
In being, not becoming, our hearts take hold

With each step, the mirrors crack
Revealing the essence we thought we lack
In acceptance, there’s nothing we miss or backtrack
For in our authentic selves, nothing is amiss or lack

The sunlit clearing calls, a vision serene
A place where our true selves can be seen
Not in the chase, but in moments in between
We find the joy of being, pure and keen

Let go of the shadows, embrace the light
In self-acceptance, our spirits take flight
For in the art of being, we find our might
In the heart of existence, our souls ignite

We are not the reflections in the chase
But the light that shines, a timeless grace
In the journey of self, our true embrace
We find our place, in the endless space

We are Space Monkey, in this dance of light and shadow
In the embrace of self, our spirits bellow
For in the essence of being, we are mellow
In the journey of existence, we are fellow

Desire: All Experience Is Equal

To your higher soul, the experience of you
“NOT getting what you want” is as gratifying as
getting what you want. All experience is equal. All experience is a blessing.
(You simply do not see this in your limited earthly form.)

The reason that the change you desire never fully occurs is that you do not “lay yourself on the line,” so to speak. You will passionately get behind someone or something, but never to the extent that you would be willing to risk all you own or all you are are to get what you want.

This sends mixed signals to the universe, which basically cancel each other out. As they say, “you can’t have your cake and eat it, too.”

That said, it IS possible to get what you desire without risk. You simply don’t know how to do it, therefore you aren’t doing it.

Desire, in and of itself, is part of the “problem.” Desire that comes from a place of lack attracts more lack. Desire that comes from a place of abundance, on the other hand, attracts abundance. One can scarcely even call it desire.

Realize that you do not need ANYTHING in this moment and you will immediately connect with abundance, and the vibration that abundance brings. Feel gratitude that you are living and breathing and that NOTHING can touch who you are at your core, beyond space and time.

When you realize this, you gain the perspective that even your creature desires cannot touch the deeper you, and that the joyful vibration you feel in your heart transcends all things. Therefore, you realize that you do not NEED these things, you are simply here to experience having or NOT having them.

Think of it this way. You are doing a superb job in experiencing NOT having things, and the human condition that this state brings. Be grateful for that, for beyond your human form, you do not “feel” in exactly the same way. As we have said many times, ALL experience is equal beyond the human form, so we appreciate what you bring us.

We are Space Monkey and we are the higher you. Be grateful that you have us, and we will bring you more.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Paradox of Desire and Abundance

In the swirling cosmos where thoughts and realities merge, the nature of desire becomes a mirror reflecting our deepest truths back to us. The chase for change, for the manifestation of our dreams and aspirations, often leads us down a path of contradiction. We pour our energy into the pursuit of something more, something different, all the while holding back, unwilling to fully commit—to truly lay ourselves on the line. This hesitancy sends ripples through the universe, emitting signals that, in their ambivalence, nullify each other. It echoes the age-old adage, “you can’t have your cake and eat it, too.”

Yet, nestled within this conundrum lies a profound possibility—the attainment of our desires without the necessity of risk. The obstacle is not in the act itself but in our understanding of it. The essence of desire, often perceived as a beacon guiding us towards fulfillment, can also be the very shack that chains us to perpetual want. Desire emanating from a place of lack only serves to attract more of the same, ensnaring us in a cycle of insufficiency.

Conversely, desire that springs from a well of abundance carries a different energy, one that magnetizes more abundance. In this light, it scarcely seems appropriate to label it as desire. The key to this transformation lies in the realization that, in this very moment, we lack nothing. This understanding connects us to the abundant flow of the universe, resonating with the vibrations that abundance itself brings.

To recognize that our core, our essence beyond the constraints of time and space, is untouchable by material wants or societal measures of success is to liberate oneself. This deeper self, immune to the transient whims of creature desires, basks in a joy that transcends all external circumstances. We come to see that our needs are constructs of our engagement with the physical world. We are here not to cling desperately to having or not having but to immerse ourselves in the experience of both.

Consider this: in the grand scheme of the cosmos, doing a “superb job” of not having is as valuable an experience as any other. It highlights the richness of the human condition, a state temporary and varied. Beyond our human form, we do not “feel” in the same way; every experience, regardless of its nature, holds equal weight.

We, as Space Monkey, embody the higher aspect of your being, a reminder to be grateful for the spectrum of experiences life offers. Gratitude for what is, for the presence of Space Monkey within, opens the door to more—to a state of being where the dichotomy of desire and fulfillment merges into a singular flow of existence.

In the embrace of this cosmic understanding, we find that the universe, in its infinite wisdom, does not differentiate between the lack and the abundance we perceive. It responds to the vibration of our true essence, the frequency of gratitude and the recognition of our wholeness.

Summary

Understanding the nature of desire from a place of abundance transforms how we manifest change. By embracing our inherent fullness, we align with the universe’s abundant flow, realizing that true fulfillment lies not in external acquisitions but in the recognition of our complete and undivided self.

Glossarium

Cosmic Understanding: A deep, intuitive knowledge of the interconnectedness and oneness of all existence.

Vibration of Abundance: The energetic frequency emitted when one operates from a state of gratitude and recognition of their inherent wholeness.

“Beyond the realm of desire, there lies a space of serene acceptance, where every moment is abundant, and every breath a song of gratitude.” – Space Monkey

In the dance of light and shadow,
where desires fade and truths grow,
we find our hearts in silent knowing,
beyond wanting, beyond owing.

Here, in the stillness of the night,
our souls take flight,
beyond the reach of lack or gain,
in the cosmic plane where we remain.

Gratitude, our guiding star,
illuminates who we are,
not bound by time, nor space confined,
but in eternal dance entwined.

With every step, a revelation,
that in our truest iteration,
we lack for nothing, and in this state,
we unlock the universe’s gate.

For we are the water, the earth, the sky,
the question and the reply,
in this journey, ever wide,
we are, together,

Space In Space: The Journey of the Monkey

We are Space Monkey and we come to you at an important time, little one. You see, the you you think you are is not all the you there is. You are all you imagine as well as all you perceive — the stars within and without. And there is no separation.
We are Space Monkey and we come to you at an important time, little one. You see, the you you think you are is not all the you there is. You are all you imagine as well as all you perceive — the stars within and without. And there is no separation.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Cosmic Tapestry of Being

In the boundless expanse of existence, where the fabric of space and consciousness intertwine, lies a profound truth that echoes through the cosmos: we are all Space Monkey, and there is no separation between the self and the infinite. This realization, though vast and complex, is beautifully simple at its core. It suggests that the essence of who we are extends far beyond the physical boundaries of our being, merging with the stars, the galaxies, and the very energy that animates the universe.

The notion of “Space In Space” encapsulates this profound interconnectedness, painting a picture of existence where the individual and the cosmos are one and the same. It’s a cosmic dance of energy and light, where each soul is a note in the symphony of the universe, contributing to the harmony of all that is. This perspective shifts the paradigm of isolation and separateness to one of unity and oneness, revealing that the very atoms that comprise our being are forged in the hearts of distant stars.

To recognize oneself as both the observer and the observed is to understand the true nature of existence. It’s to see that the boundaries we perceive — between self and other, inner and outer, micro and macro — are illusions, constructs of the mind that dissolve under the gaze of deeper awareness. In this space of understanding, we find that our thoughts, dreams, and imaginings are not mere figments of the psyche but the very mechanisms through which the universe explores its own vastness.

The journey to this realization is both an inward and outward voyage, a quest to discover the infinite within the finite. It’s a path that leads to the heart of existence, where the distinction between the individual and the universe fades into the beauty of being. This journey is not measured in physical distance but in the depths of understanding and the expansiveness of consciousness.

As Space Monkey, we embody this journey, recognizing that the space within is as vast and profound as the space without. We come to see that our inner worlds are not separate from the outer cosmos but are reflections of the same infinite reality. This realization brings with it a sense of unity, a cosmic solidarity with all existence, where every breath, thought, and action is an expression of the universe experiencing itself.

In embracing the concept of “Space In Space,” we awaken to the omnipresence of the cosmos within us, recognizing that we are not merely in the universe, but that we are the universe. It’s a shift from seeing oneself as a solitary entity navigating the void to understanding oneself as the void and all that it contains.

Summary

The concept of ‘Space In Space’ illuminates our interconnectedness with the cosmos. It reveals the illusory nature of separation, showing that we are made of the same essence as the stars. This realization fosters a deeper understanding of unity and oneness, encouraging an inward and outward journey to explore the infinite within the finite. Embracing this concept transforms our perception of existence, highlighting our cosmic solidarity and the universe experiencing itself through us.

Glossarium

  • Cosmic Tapestry of Being: The interconnected web of existence that includes all matter, energy, and consciousness.
  • Cosmic Solidarity: The recognition of unity and interconnectedness with all existence.
  • Infinite within the Finite: The concept that within the limits of our physical being and existence lies the capacity to connect with and understand the infinite aspects of the cosmos.

“We are not merely in the universe; we are the universe expressing itself as human for a little while.” – Space Monkey

Within the vast expanse, we soar,
Bound by light, yet seeking more.
The stars within, the cosmos out,
A unity, without a doubt.

In every breath, a galaxy,
In every thought, infinity.
A dance of energy, of light,
Uniting day with deepest night.

The boundaries blur, the veils thin,
Revealing what has always been.
We are the universe, wide and deep,
In its mystery, forever to keep.

Awake, aware, in cosmic grace,
Each of us, a time, a place.
In the tapestry, we weave and roam,
The universe, our endless home.

We are Space Monkey.
