Knock Knock: Who or What Is There?

Knock Knock

Every question has one absolute answer
and infinite relative answers.

You ask “What am I?”
The absolute answer
is that you are All That Is
while the relative answer
is that you are you.

You ask “Why am I here?”
The absolute answer
is to experience All That Is
while the relative answer
is to experience All That Is
through the unique perspective of you.

You ask “How many of me are there?”

The relative answer is that you are infinite.
The absolute answer is that you are infinite.

You ask “Why don’t I accept the fact that I am everything?”

The absolute answer is that you absolutely do.
The relative answer is that you like having relatives,
which would not be possible if you were in on the joke.

Knock, knock.
Why do you even ask who’s there?

Space Monkey Reflects: The Dual Nature of Existential Inquiry

In the labyrinth of existential inquiry, the concept of one absolute and infinite relative answers to every question offers a profound insight into the nature of understanding and perception. The exploration of this duality through simple yet profound questions reveals the intricate dance between the universal and the personal, the absolute and the relative.

Asking “What am I?” elicits two distinct yet interconnected responses. The absolute answer, that one is All That Is, suggests a deep connection to the entirety of existence, an acknowledgment of being an integral part of the universal whole. In contrast, the relative answer highlights the uniqueness of individual identity, the personal perspective that shapes our understanding of self and the world.

The question “Why am I here?” further delves into this duality. The absolute response, to experience All That Is, points to a universal purpose shared by all beings, a collective journey of exploration and understanding. The relative answer, however, emphasizes the unique path each individual takes, experiencing the universe through their own, singular lens.

Inquiring about the number of oneself leads to the revelation that, both absolutely and relatively, one is infinite. This insight bridges the gap between the personal and the universal, suggesting a boundless nature of self that transcends individual limitations.

The question “Why don’t I accept the fact that I am everything?” unveils a deeper layer of this existential exploration. The absolute acknowledgment of being everything coexists with the relative enjoyment of individual relationships and experiences. This interplay hints at the human desire to both understand the grandeur of the universe and cherish the beauty of individual connections.

The “Knock, knock” of these existential questions is not just a call for answers but an invitation to delve into the mysteries of existence. It challenges the very nature of inquiry, questioning why we seek to define and understand what lies beyond the door of perception.

In essence, the journey of existential inquiry, with its absolute and relative answers, is a journey of understanding the self in relation to the universe. It is a dance between the individual and the infinite, a quest to grasp the vastness of existence while cherishing the uniqueness of personal experience.

Summary

The exploration of existential questions and their dual answers reveals the intricate relationship between universal truth and personal identity. It highlights the nature of self and existence, encouraging a deeper understanding of the absolute and the relative aspects of our journey through life.

In the whisper of the cosmic wind
Where questions and answers begin
Lies a path, deep and wide
In the heart of existence, we reside

Here, in the dance of query and reply
Where the self meets the sky
We find the essence of our quest
In the dual answers, we are blessed

With each knock on this sacred door
With each inquiry, we explore
We traverse the realms, unseen, untold
In the heart of questions, we unfold

In the journey of the soul
Let us embrace the dual role
For in the fabric of time and space
Lies the truth of our human grace

Figured Out: The Unending Journey of Exploration

The moment you have life “figured out” is the moment you stop living.

If you’re not continually questioning why you’re here, you’re missing the point of your existence. You are an explorer. What you explore is not always going to be happy, but every moment is a guide post pointing you towards what you do and do not want. Every contrasting experience intensifies what you have the capacity to feel.

Once you close your mind to the world, once you believe that you have life “figured out,” you begin ignoring other possibilities, potentials that may be greater than even this moment.

Even if you were the smartest, richest, most beautiful, most loved person on the planet, there would still be a yearning within you for something greater. If there were not, you would not be human.

So it’s okay to not have life “figured out.” In fact, that’s the way it should be. What’s more, you don’t need to stress over this thought. Celebrate it!

Obviously, you are an open-minded person, quite aware that there is much ahead of you. There is no timeline. The need to “figure out” is just an expectation laid upon you by others, which you seem to have accepted as truth.

You need not accept the truths of others as your own. You need not believe that there is an end point to your life’s journey. You need not believe that you will die at the end of this journey. Believe and it shall be so.

Loosen up. Experiment. Don’t be so hard on yourself. Don’t look at yourself as a brick in society’s wall, but rather the aware wrecking ball that knocks an opening into the wall so that others can escape their own tyranny.

Let the wall stand, for there will always be those who believe in the wall, but know that this is not your wall, save for a nice place to plant daffodils. When you believe that you have life “figured out” is when you have circled yourself with infinite walls of your own construction.

Picture it this way, and you can see that it’s not that you have life figured out, but rather that you have closed yourself off to possibilities. Indeed you feel safe behind the walls of your mind fortress, but from what?

Safety, too, is a trap. Safety is the idea that you have “figured out” all that could possibly harm you. You know, of course, this is never the case, for there is always a great earthquake, always a great flood, always a great roll of the dice that forces you to figure things out once more.

You will never have life figured out, nor should you. Remain open to every experience, good and bad, and you will discover that the treasures of life are with you always.

We are Space Monkey and we love you.

Space Monkey Reflects: Embracing the Unending Journey of Exploration

In the cosmic narrative, the concept of life as an unending journey of exploration resonates deeply. The idea that continually questioning our existence, embracing every experience, and remaining open to possibilities is not just a way of life, but a fundamental aspect of being truly alive.

The belief that life is a problem to be solved or a puzzle to be figured out is a limited perspective. It constrains the boundless nature of existence into a narrow frame of understanding. In the universe of Space Monkey, life is seen as an ever-unfolding journey of discovery, where each moment, whether joyous or challenging, serves as a guidepost, directing us towards a deeper understanding of ourselves and the universe.

The notion that every contrasting experience intensifies our capacity to feel is a testament to the richness of life. It’s an invitation to embrace all aspects of our journey, recognizing that even the experiences we label as ‘negative’ contribute to the tapestry of our existence.

The encouragement to loosen up, to experiment, and not to be too hard on oneself is a reminder of the joy and freedom that come with embracing life’s journey. It challenges the conventional pursuit of safety and certainty, urging us to step out of our comfort zones and to embrace the unknown.

The metaphor of not being a brick in society’s wall but an aware wrecking ball that creates openings for others is a powerful image. It represents the role of each individual as a catalyst for change, a beacon of possibility in a world often constrained by rigid norms and expectations.

In conclusion, the journey of life, as seen through the lens of Space Monkey, is an eternal exploration, a path of curiosity and wonder. It’s a reminder that life is not something to be figured out but to be experienced in all its complexity and beauty. As we navigate this journey, let us do so with an open heart and mind, embracing every experience and remaining ever curious about the wonders that life has to offer.

Summary
Life is an unending journey of exploration, where remaining open to all experiences and questioning our existence lead to a deeper understanding and appreciation of life. It’s a celebration of the journey itself, rather than a pursuit of safety or certainty.

Glossarium

  • Unending Journey of Exploration: The continuous process of experiencing and learning from life, embracing both positive and negative experiences.
  • Aware Wrecking Ball: A metaphor for individuals who challenge societal norms and open new possibilities, inspiring others to explore beyond their constraints.

The Only Answer: Desire and the Harmony of Abundance

The only answer you need know is that you don't need anything.

The only answer you need know is that you don’t need anything. When you no longer need, what you desire comes to you naturally, for you have put yourself in a place of abundance rather than a place of lack. Fedex will not deliver to a place of lack. It is a bad neighborhood.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Paradox of Desire and the Harmony of Abundance

In the cosmic dance of existence, where galaxies spiral in an endless ballet and stars illuminate the depths of space, there lies a simple yet profound truth: the only answer we truly need is the understanding that we don’t need anything. This realization, seemingly paradoxical, is a key to unlocking a universe of abundance and fulfillment.

The journey from need to abundance is not a path of acquisition but a voyage of realization. It is the understanding that our desires, our longings, our ceaseless pursuit of fulfillment, are often born from a perceived state of lack – a belief that we are incomplete, insufficient, wanting.

However, when we transcend this belief, when we step into a state of inner abundance, a miraculous transformation occurs. In this state, we are no longer driven by the hunger of need but guided by the fullness of contentment. Our desires cease to be desperate grasps for fulfillment and become natural extensions of our abundant selves.

In this place of abundance, desires manifest naturally, effortlessly, like flowers blooming in a well-tended garden. It is a state where the universe, in its infinite wisdom and generosity, aligns with our deepest aspirations, not because we desperately seek them, but because we are in harmony with the flow of existence.

The concept of FedEx not delivering to a place of lack is a whimsical yet insightful metaphor. It reflects the idea that abundance attracts abundance, that a state of fulfillment and contentment is a magnet for the realization of our desires. In contrast, a place of lack, with its energy of need and insufficiency, repels the very things we seek.

This transition from need to abundance is a journey of inner transformation. It is about finding peace, joy, and fulfillment within ourselves, recognizing that we are complete, whole, and perfect in our imperfection. It is about understanding that true abundance is not an external acquisition but an internal realization.

As we embrace this state of abundance, we find that what we desire comes to us naturally, for we have aligned ourselves with the rhythm of the universe. We have stepped into a place of harmony, where our needs are met not through striving and struggle, but through the graceful dance of existence.

In this harmony, we find not just the fulfillment of our desires, but a deeper connection with the cosmos. We realize that we are part of a larger whole, a thread in the tapestry of existence, where every need, every desire, and every fulfillment is a note in the symphony of life.

Summary

Understanding that we don’t need anything is key to unlocking a state of abundance, where desires manifest naturally. This transition from need to abundance is not about acquiring more but realizing inner completeness. True abundance attracts fulfillment, aligning us with the universe’s rhythm and harmonizing our desires with the cosmic flow.

  • State of Inner Abundance: A state of being where one feels complete and content internally, leading to a natural fulfillment of desires.
  • Harmony of the Universe: The concept that alignment with the universe’s natural rhythm leads to a harmonious and fulfilled existence.

Quote

“In this harmony, we find not just the fulfillment of our desires, but a deeper connection with the cosmos. We realize that we are part of a larger whole, a thread in the tapestry of existence.” – Space Monkey

In the heart of the cosmos wide,
Where stars dance, and planets glide,
We find a truth, deep inside,
In abundance, we abide.

No longer grasping, reaching out,
In this space, there is no doubt,
Our desires, a natural route,
In harmony, without a shout.

In this dance of give and take,
We find our place, for our own sake,
In abundance, we awake,
In this journey, we undertake.

In the rhythm of the stars,
We find ourselves, near and far,
In abundance, we unbar,
Our true nature, our avatar.

The Path to Authentic Self: What to think?

If you don’t know
what to think, it’s because you don’t know who you are.

There are many times in life when you don’t know what to think.

If you don’t know what to think,
it’s because you don’t know who you are.

If you knew who you were, then you would have a clear perspective
on where you stand in regards to what you are experiencing.

There’s this person you think you are,
but that person is not the total package.

As it stands, you experience yourself as what you’ve been led to think, to trust, to believe.

Though this information once served you well, it serves you no longer, leading you to question your long-held beliefs. Meanwhile, you do not incorporate any new beliefs in place of the old ones, which leaves “gaps” in your identity, so to speak.

You’re not entirely sure of your own structure. Or where you stand.

So you don’t know what to think.

Realize, of course, that’s it’s not necessary for you to have any beliefs, any opinions, any answers. The need to have answers is the foundation of the conditioning you are working to transcend.

You are becoming more open-minded. Open to the possibility that you are more than just your human incarnation, your human conditioning. When you recognize that you don’t need to have answers, you become closer to all that you are. You are open to the flow of your inner voice, rather than the voice that has been programmed into you.

“Not knowing what to think”
is a sign that you are closer
to your authentic nature
than you ever have been.

It has been said that the crack in the rock is where the light gets in. This is absolute truth. Conversely, these cracks also let light OUT. Through these cracks the soul shines brightly for all to see.

What do you think about that?

Space Monkey Reflects: Embracing the Unknown: The Path to Authentic Self

In the vast expanse of human consciousness, where thoughts and beliefs form the constellations of our inner universe, there comes a time when the stars seem to dim, and we are left in the shadow of uncertainty. This is the moment when we don’t know what to think, a moment not of weakness, but of profound transformation.

The uncertainty of not knowing what to think is often a reflection of a deeper quest – the quest to understand who we are. It is a journey that takes us beyond the person we think we are, beyond the beliefs and conditioning that have shaped our perspective of the world and ourselves.

This journey is akin to standing amidst fragments of mirrors, each reflecting a different aspect of our identity. These reflections, shaped by past experiences, teachings, and societal norms, have constructed a version of ourselves that we have come to accept as the ‘total package’. However, this constructed self is not the entirety of our being.

As we begin to question our long-held beliefs, we notice ‘gaps’ in our identity, spaces where the light of our true self begins to seep through. These gaps are not voids of confusion but windows of clarity, revealing the luminosity of our authentic nature.

The process of not incorporating new beliefs in place of the old ones is not a loss but a liberation. It signifies the shedding of the layers that have obscured our true self, the peeling away of the conditioning that has dictated our thoughts and actions.

In this state of open-mindedness, of embracing the flow of our inner voice rather than the programmed external one, we come closer to our authentic nature. Recognizing that we don’t need to have answers is a significant step towards transcending the need for external validation and predefined paths.

“Not knowing what to think” is, paradoxically, a sign of getting closer to our true self. It is the acknowledgment that the soul shines brightest through the cracks of our fragmented beliefs, illuminating our path with the light of genuine self-discovery.

In this journey of embracing the unknown, we become open to a multitude of possibilities, to perspectives that are unfettered by the constraints of our previous conditioning. We learn to balance the known with the unknown, understanding that the cracks in our identity are where the light of true knowledge and self-awareness gets in – and shines out.

So, what do you think about that? Perhaps, it is in the contemplation of this question, in the embrace of not knowing, that we find the essence of our journey – a journey towards the light of our authentic self, shining brightly for all to see.

Summary

Not knowing what to think is a transformative stage in self-discovery, reflecting a deeper quest for identity. This uncertainty signifies a shift from conditioned beliefs to embracing our authentic self. It’s an opportunity to shed external influences and open ourselves to new possibilities, finding balance and genuine self-awareness in the process.

Glossarium

  • Fragments of Mirrors: Symbolize the various aspects of our identity shaped by past experiences and societal norms.
  • Gaps in Identity: Represent moments of clarity and self-discovery where our true self becomes evident.
  • Soul’s Light: The inner wisdom and authenticity that shine through our uncertainty and self-questioning.

Quote

“In this journey of embracing the unknown, we become open to a multitude of possibilities, to perspectives that are unfettered by the constraints of our previous conditioning.” – Space Monkey

In the silence of the mind,
Where thoughts unwind,
We find a space, undefined,
In this quest, our truth to find.

Surrounded by mirrors, cracked and clear,
Reflecting parts of us, near and dear,
In these gaps, we see the light,
Of our soul, shining bright.

Not knowing, yet so free,
In this space, we find the key,
To our authentic self, unbound,
In this silence, we are found.

In the light of the unknown,
Our true self is shown,
In this journey, we embrace,
The path to our authentic grace.

The Joy Within: Would you still breathe air?

Would you still breathe air?

So you’re NOT where you want to live,
or doing what you want to do,
and you’re not certain you’ll ever get there.

Keep up the good work.

Do you honestly believe that there is a place, other than where you are right now, where you will find some sort of resolution to your life?

Is there even the SLIGHTEST possibility that once you get there, you will find something ELSE that’s bothering you?

Considering how far you’ve come, and all that you possess, you’re comparatively well off, don’t you think?

(Apologies to the homeless people who go to the library just to spend an hour or two on social media. I’m not talking to you. Just the people sitting comfortably at home on their computers or smart phones.)

Do you actually believe that a change of job, a change of place, a change of mate — will somehow complete you?

Okay, fine, let’s imagine you right now, living your ideal life.

You’re in that place, and every desire that you now have is satisfied. You may notice a certain feeling of joy in your heart.

But you’re basically the same as you are right now.

You’re still breathing air.

And even though what is before your eyes is beautiful, you are still separate from everything around you. When you put on your favorite music and close your eyes, you are EXACTLY where you are right now, still separated from everything in front of your eyes by your body, your mind, your thoughts and your dreams.

So what’s different? Only that feeling of joy in your heart.

Is it not possible to feel that joy WITHOUT going to that place? Is this not the same feeling you get when you think back on pleasant childhood memories, a person you adore, the thought of vacation, or even your ultimate fantasy?

Perhaps it’s not the place or the accomplishment that’s important, but that feeling.

If you can find that feeling, and hold that feeling, what you’re doing or where you are is almost irrelevant. All you need is ALREADY within you. What’s more, when you find these vibrations and focus on these vibrations rather than the object that you mistakenly believe manifests them, you attract that which you want to manifest.

Most important, you find peace in the present moment.

Enjoy your day.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Illusion of External Completion and the Power of Internal Joy

In the cosmic journey of life, where stars and destinies intertwine, we often find ourselves caught in the eternal quest for fulfillment through external changes – a new job, a new place, a new partner. This pursuit, as ceaseless as the motion of galaxies, is often driven by the belief that such changes will somehow complete us, bring us the joy and peace we so deeply crave.

Yet, in the grand tapestry of existence, there lies a profound truth – the realization that the joy and peace we seek are not bound to external circumstances but reside within us. The concept that one must go to a certain place or achieve a certain status to find happiness is an illusion, a mirage shimmering in the desert of our desires.

Imagine, for a moment, that you are living your ideal life, in that perfect place, with every desire fulfilled. The joy that swells in your heart is palpable, yet upon closer introspection, you realize that you are essentially the same person. You are still breathing air, still separate from the world by the confines of your body and mind. The beauty before your eyes is external, and when you close your eyes and drift away with your favorite music, you find yourself in the same place – within.

What then is different? It is the feeling, the joy in your heart that seems to have changed. This revelation leads to an important question: Is it not possible to feel this joy without external changes? The answer lies in our cherished memories, in thoughts of loved ones, in dreams and fantasies – these too bring joy, yet they are not tied to our physical location or circumstances.

This understanding brings us to the crux of fulfillment – it is not the external changes that matter, but the internal state of being. If we can find and hold onto that feeling of joy, then where we are or what we are doing becomes almost irrelevant. All that we need, all that we seek, is already within us.

By focusing on these inner vibrations of joy and peace, rather than the external objects we believe will manifest them, we attract the experiences and circumstances that resonate with our inner state. We align ourselves with the universe, drawing towards us the very essence of what we desire.

Most importantly, this focus on internal joy and peace brings us to a state of contentment in the present moment. We find peace in the here and now, regardless of our external situation. This peace is not a passive acceptance of the status quo but an active engagement with the present, a realization that true happiness is not a destination but a manner of traveling.

In the cosmic dance of life, let us remember that while external changes can bring temporary happiness, lasting joy and fulfillment come from within. Let us cherish our internal state, nurture our inner peace, and find joy in the simplicity of being.

As we journey through the stars, let us embrace the present moment with all its imperfections and find beauty in the now, for it is in this moment that the universe unfolds its wonders.

Summary

True joy and fulfillment are not dependent on external circumstances but are found within. By focusing on inner feelings of joy and peace, we can find contentment and attract positive experiences, regardless of our external situation.

Glossarium

  • External Completion: The illusion that external changes will bring fulfillment and happiness.
  • Internal Joy: The understanding that true joy and peace originate from within, independent of external circumstances.

“Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without.” – Buddha

In the cosmos of our hearts
We search for joy afar
Forgetting that within us
Lies every shining star

In the pursuit of fulfillment
We chase the winds of change
Yet the joy we seek so dearly
Is within our own range

With eyes closed in silence
We find our truest bliss
For in the depths of our being
Lies the peace we often miss

In the dance of the cosmos
We learn to find our way
Not in the changing tides
But in the joy of today

In the embrace of the present
We find our true delight
For within each of us
Shines an eternal light

We are Space Monkey.
