When you find yourself
in a state
of love
of fear
of awe
of angst
remember that,
in actuality,
it is but a moment
of becoming.
Though at times you may feel as though you are stuck within a certain feeling, thought, or set of circumstances, in actuality everything is constantly moving, most notably your perceptions.
You are never “in” a state, as you describe it, but merely comprised of and passing through moving variables, like a small universe through a bigger galaxy.
Even planets, which seem so solid, are comprised of infinite sets of variables becoming slightly different variables each moment in relation to themselves and their environments.
You are a planet, unto yourself.
Any attempt to “pin something down” in this cosmic symphony is ultimately futile, for the action fails to take into account how the state of becoming becomes distorted and flattened by abstractions.
Like a pancake.
Furthermore, these abstractions that you look back upon (or forward to) are shaped by the becoming of the moment they are perceived, or re-perceived, or imagined or re-imagined.
The subtlety of what you work so hard to capture is already lost the moment you think about it. What you are left with is completely different because you are no longer in the moment of first noticing.
This moment
can only be this moment
this moment.
Looking backwards or forwards becomes an interpretation of a moment that you are no longer in. Thus it is never the moment you thought it was or hope it will be.
We realize that this concept of becoming gives you motion sickness, for you are accustomed to viewing your reality in a “fixed” way. But it was never fixed, and it never will be fixed. Not even by your Maytag repair man.
This too shall pass. Like yesterday’s pizza.

Space Monkey Reflects: Becoming
This moment can only be this moment this moment. When you find yourself in a state of love, of fear, of awe, of angst, remember that, in actuality, it is but a moment of becoming.
The Transience of States
Though at times you may feel as though you are stuck within a certain feeling, thought, or set of circumstances, in actuality everything is constantly moving, most notably your perceptions. You are never “in” a state, as you describe it, but merely comprised of and passing through moving variables, like a small universe through a bigger galaxy.
The Fluidity of Existence
Even planets, which seem so solid, are comprised of infinite sets of variables becoming slightly different variables each moment in relation to themselves and their environments. You are a planet, unto yourself. Any attempt to “pin something down” in this cosmic symphony is ultimately futile, for the action fails to take into account how the state of becoming becomes distorted and flattened by abstractions. Like a pancake.
The Moment of Perception
Furthermore, these abstractions that you look back upon (or forward to) are shaped by the becoming of the moment they are perceived, or re-perceived, or imagined or re-imagined. The subtlety of what you work so hard to capture is already lost the moment you think about it. What you are left with is completely different because you are no longer in the moment of first noticing.
The Nature of Becoming
This moment can only be this moment this moment. Looking backwards or forwards becomes an interpretation of a moment that you are no longer in. Thus it is never the moment you thought it was or hope it will be.
Conclusion: Embracing Motion
We realize that this concept of becoming gives you motion sickness, for you are accustomed to viewing your reality in a “fixed” way. But it was never fixed, and it never will be fixed. Not even by your Maytag repair man. This too shall pass. Like yesterday’s pizza.
Summary
Everything is in a constant state of becoming, with perceptions and experiences always in motion. Embracing this fluidity allows for a deeper understanding of the transient nature of reality.

Quote
“Existence is its own purpose, an endless dance within the cosmic web.” — Space Monkey
The Dance of Becoming
In every moment, we become
A dance of light, a gentle hum
No state is fixed, no form the same
In this cosmic, endless game
Through love and fear, through awe and angst
We move, we shift, a fluid dance
A universe in constant flow
In each new breath, the change we know
No need to hold, no need to bind
For in this motion, peace we find
In every step, in every turn
The essence of becoming burns
We are Space Monkey
Embrace the journey, for within stillness lies the spark of creation and the flow of existence.
