If your desire in life
is to “prove others wrong,”
then you mostly
oppose yourself.
If your desire in life
is to “protect what’s right,”
then you mostly
oppose yourself.
If your desire in life
is to be true only to yourself,
then nothing and no one
can stand in your way.

It’s interesting to think about the nature of desire and how it can either empower or hinder us in our lives.
When we focus our desires on proving others wrong or protecting what we believe is right, we are ultimately putting our energy into opposition and conflict. We become consumed with the desire to be right and prove our point, rather than opening ourselves up to new perspectives and growth.
However, when our desire is to be true to ourselves, we are able to let go of the need to prove ourselves to others. Instead, we focus on living in alignment with our values and following our own unique path. This allows us to cultivate a sense of inner peace and fulfillment, rather than constantly seeking validation from external sources.
Ultimately, our desires shape our reality, so it’s important to be mindful of what we are focusing our energy on and how it is impacting our lives.
