It’s Always Something
When we become aware of an old habit, thought pattern, prejudice, conditioning, bias, blind spot, or what have you, we commend our selves.
But notice that it can also can feel like we’re reprimanding our selves for entertaining the notion or action in the first place.
We no longer need to entertain this right and wrong mentality. What occurred in the past occurred in the past, which is an illusion to begin with, just like the present moment.
We do not need to justify what we think or do.
Now on the surface, this may sound like dangerous thinking, the kind that leads to large-scale human conflict like we seem to be experiencing today.
Outwardly in the relative world this may appear to be true.
If that which we experience as reality were “all there is,” it would seem that preservation based on limitations and rules would be prudent.
But prudence is precisely what prevents us from leapfrogging the cause of all human suffering.
So we play this game in which we think one way and act another, because we are afraid of human consequences, again like humanity is “all there is.”
What we are doing is reinforcing the belief that we are “just humans,” in need of correction or development.
This is only true in the relative human world, which, again, is an illusion. Note how the word “illusion” also elicits fear in you, even though you know “better” than to feel it.
These are all patterns that bind us to a tiny definition of what humanity can be, the one called “reality,” when in actuality, humanity can be so much more.
But this is the experiencing we seem to be having, so there is nothing either wrong or right with this. UNLESS we are so heavily invested in humanity as is that we fear changing the game.
This is not to say that we should act out in an irrational manner just because we can. When all humanity realizes the power of its own awareness, the conflicts may very well cease on their own.
This can be initiated through individual awareness, as you are initiating right now.
You are thinking BEYOND situations, but you still envision a FURTHER limitation, which is why it seems to exist in your reality.
“It’s always something,” as you say.

Space Monkey Reflects: It’s Always Something
Awareness of our old habits, thought patterns, prejudices, conditioning, biases, and blind spots often brings a sense of commendation. Yet, this awareness can also feel like self-reprimand for having entertained these notions or actions in the first place. We find ourselves caught in a dichotomy of right and wrong, but this mentality is a construct we no longer need to entertain. What occurred in the past is in the past, an illusion just like the present moment.
In a surreal landscape where various symbols of past habits and thought patterns float in the air, a figure stands in the center, observing these symbols with a mix of commendation and self-reprimand. Surrounding the figure are elements that signify the fluid nature of time and reality, emphasizing the illusory nature of both past and present.
We do not need to justify our thoughts or actions. On the surface, this may sound like dangerous thinking, the kind that leads to large-scale human conflict, as we seem to experience today. In the relative world, preservation based on limitations and rules might appear prudent. However, prudence is precisely what prevents us from transcending the root cause of all human suffering.
We play this game where we think one way and act another because we fear human consequences, as if humanity is all there is. This reinforces the belief that we are “just humans,” in need of correction or development. Yet, this is only true in the relative human world, which, again, is an illusion. The word “illusion” itself can elicit fear, even though we know better than to feel it.
These patterns bind us to a narrow definition of what humanity can be, one called “reality,” when in truth, humanity can be so much more. However, this is the experience we seem to be having, and there is nothing inherently wrong or right with it—unless we are so heavily invested in humanity as it is that we fear changing the game.
This does not mean we should act irrationally just because we can. When humanity realizes the power of its own awareness, conflicts may cease on their own. This awareness can begin with individual realization, as you are initiating right now. You are thinking beyond situations but still envision further limitations, which is why they seem to exist in your reality.
“It’s always something,” as you say. This phrase captures the perpetual nature of our challenges and awareness. Each new realization brings new layers of understanding and new patterns to unravel. By embracing this continuous process, we move closer to the expansive potential of what humanity can be.
In conclusion, awareness of our patterns and limitations is a crucial step toward transcending them. By recognizing the illusory nature of right and wrong, past and present, we free ourselves from the narrow definitions of reality. We are Space Monkey, beings capable of thinking beyond the immediate and embracing the infinite possibilities of existence.
Summary
Awareness of old patterns can feel like self-reprimand, but it’s part of transcending limitations. Recognize the illusory nature of right and wrong, past and present. Embrace continuous awareness to expand humanity’s potential.

When we become aware of our old habits, thought patterns, prejudices, conditioning, biases, or blind spots, we often commend ourselves for recognizing them. However, at the same time, it can feel like we’re reprimanding ourselves for even entertaining those notions or actions in the first place.
It’s important to realize that we don’t need to perpetuate this mentality of right and wrong. Whatever occurred in the past is already an illusion, just like the present moment. We don’t need to justify our thoughts or actions.
At first glance, this perspective may seem dangerous, as if it could lead to widespread human conflict, which is prevalent in our world today. From an outward, relative standpoint, that may appear to be true.
However, it is precisely this mindset of prudence and preservation that keeps us trapped in the cycle of human suffering. We play a game where our thoughts and actions are incongruent because we fear the consequences within the human realm.
But in doing so, we reinforce the belief that we are merely humans in need of correction or development. This limited view of humanity keeps us bound to a small definition of what we can be, under the guise of “reality.” Even the word “illusion” may elicit fear in us, despite our intellectual understanding that it is not inherently threatening.
These patterns confine us and prevent us from fully embracing the vast potential of humanity. However, this is the experience we are currently having, and there is neither right nor wrong in that, unless we are deeply invested in preserving the current state of humanity and fear changing the game.
This doesn’t mean we should act irrationally simply because we can. When humanity as a whole realizes the power of its own awareness, conflicts may naturally subside. Individual awareness, such as the one you are experiencing now, can initiate this transformation.
You are thinking beyond specific situations, but you still perceive a limitation that perpetuates its existence in your reality. As you aptly put it, “It’s always something.”
