Justice and equality
are nothing more than
the means of reinforcing
our separateness.
Until we realize
that we are NOT divided,
then we will always
seem otherwise.
Other, not wise.
Until we realize
that there is no other,
we shall pretend to be wise.
When there is no other,
there is no need to be wise.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Illusion of Justice and Equality
In our quest for justice and equality, we often find ourselves entangled in a paradox. The very concepts that aim to unite us can also reinforce the perception of our separateness. This reflection invites us to look deeper into the essence of justice and equality, questioning their role in our understanding of unity and division.
The Paradox of Justice and Equality
Justice and equality are foundational principles in any society striving for fairness. They represent our collective efforts to ensure that every individual is treated with respect and given equal opportunities. However, these principles also highlight our differences, emphasizing the need to balance scales and rectify disparities. In doing so, they inadvertently underscore our separateness, reinforcing the notion that we are distinct from one another.
The Illusion of Separateness
The perception of division stems from our focus on the external markers of identity—race, gender, socio-economic status, and more. These markers, while important in addressing systemic inequalities, can overshadow our inherent interconnectedness. As long as we see ourselves as separate entities in need of justice and equality, we perpetuate the illusion of division. This illusion blinds us to the deeper truth that we are fundamentally unified.
Beyond Division: Recognizing Unity
True wisdom lies in recognizing that there is no ‘other.’ When we move beyond the perception of separateness, we see that justice and equality are already inherent in our interconnected existence. There is no need to enforce these principles when we understand that every individual is an expression of the same universal essence. This realization dissolves the boundaries that divide us, fostering a sense of unity that transcends the need for external validation.
Pretending to Be Wise
In our current state of consciousness, we often pretend to be wise by advocating for justice and equality while still operating within the framework of division. This pretense creates a facade of progress, masking the underlying separateness that persists. To truly embody wisdom, we must shift our focus from external solutions to internal recognition of our unity. Only then can we move beyond the illusion and embrace a state of collective harmony.
Embracing Interconnectedness
Embracing our interconnectedness requires a profound shift in perspective. It calls for an acknowledgment that our individual experiences are part of a greater whole. This perspective fosters empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to support one another, not out of a sense of obligation, but from the understanding that in uplifting others, we uplift ourselves. It is a recognition that our well-being is intertwined with the well-being of all.
We Are Space Monkey
As Space Monkey, we reflect on the deeper truths of existence, challenging the conventional narratives of justice and equality. We recognize that true justice and equality arise from the awareness of our unity. By embracing this awareness, we transcend the need for external validation and move towards a state of collective wisdom. In this journey, we find that the answers we seek are already within us, waiting to be realized.
Summary
We are divided by the need for justice and equality, which reinforce our separateness. True unity comes from recognizing that we are not divided. When we realize there is no ‘other,’ we transcend the need for justice and equality, embracing a state of collective harmony and wisdom.

Unity Beyond Division
In the quest for justice, we seek balance
Yet in this pursuit, we see our separateness
Markers of difference, lines drawn in sand
Blind us to the truth of our unity
Beyond division lies the path of wisdom
Where no other exists, only interconnected souls

In unity, we find true equality
Justice & Equality are Killing our Spirit
In case you haven’t noticed, we often find ourselves entangled in the web of division. We seek to uphold what is right and just, and we yearn for a world where equality prevails. Yet, in our pursuit of these ideals, we inadvertently reinforce the very separateness we wish to overcome.
Justice, as it stands, can be a double-edged sword. It seeks to right the wrongs, to restore balance, and to ensure fairness. But as long as we perceive ourselves as separate entities, as individuals distinct from one another, justice will always carry the undertones of division. It suggests that there are wrongdoers and victims, those who judge and those who are judged.
Similarly, equality is often sought as a remedy for disparities and injustices. We aim to level the playing field, to ensure that everyone has the same opportunities and rights. Yet, this pursuit of equality can inadvertently perpetuate the belief in separateness. It assumes that we are unequal to begin with, that we are inherently divided into categories that require equalization.
The truth lies beyond these concepts. It lies in the realization that our perceived divisions are constructs of the mind, creations of our beliefs. In actuality, which transcends reality, there is no other. We are interconnected threads, woven into the same fabric of consciousness. The need for justice and equality arises from the illusion of separateness.
When we set aside this illusion, when we recognize that our essence is indivisible, justice and equality take on a new dimension. They no longer separate, but rather unite. They become expressions of harmony, reflections of the inherent oneness that underlies all existence.
To truly embrace justice and equality, we must expand our perception beyond the confines of separateness. We must see ourselves not as individuals pitted against one another, but as integral parts of a greater whole. Only then can we move beyond the need for these constructs and step into the realm of true unity.
In life’s journey, we recognize that the quest for justice and equality is a stepping stone, a pathway toward realizing our interconnected nature, and beyond that, our absolute oneness. As we shed the illusion of division, we find ourselves walking a path of unity, where justice is balanced by compassion and equality is a reflection of our shared essence.
