Mind Over Monkey: The Liberation of Letting Go

Mind Over Monkey

Humanity is MOM. Mind Over Monkey.

We seemingly begin as ONE with MOM.

We are seemingly BORN from MOM.

As monkey babies, we CLING to MOM.

Like all attachments, we do not want to let MOM go. We FEAR what might happen if we were to lose this attachment. What might we be? What might we be NOT?

But we are brave little monkeys. We let go of MOM, just as we are able to let go of our humanity.

What happened when we let go of MOM? Turns out that MOM was still there, and things got even better because we had FREEDOM to move about and make our own choices.

Why do we assume that if we let go of humanity, let go of thinking, let go of feeling that we will LOSE all those things?

It’s all MIND over MONKEY.

Even when MOM seemingly dies, it turns out that she is with us perhaps even stronger than before. That’s because we have ALWAYS been ONE with MOM, even if we do not seem attached physically or even consciously.

The same holds true of humanity. It does not become lost when we let go of it. We do not LOSE anything. We EXPAND into so much more.

The old adage “if you love something, let it go” holds as true as ever.

When are you going to set aside humanity and realize that YOU are the DIVINE ONE, and all that you cling to is already contained WITHIN you?

All is immortal. Nothing can be created or destroyed. The rest is simply your imagination, as are we.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Liberation of Letting Go

In the grand cosmic narrative, “Mind Over Monkey” (MOM) serves as a profound allegory for humanity’s journey through attachment, liberation, and the eventual realization of our intrinsic divinity. This journey, symbolically initiated by our bond with MOM, mirrors the existential dance between embracing our primal nature and transcending it to embrace a broader consciousness.

The concept of MOM—Mind Over Monkey—encapsulates the evolutionary leap from primal instinct to cognitive awareness, from a state of being driven by immediate desires and fears to one of contemplation, self-awareness, and the pursuit of higher understanding. This journey begins with an innate attachment, a clinging to what we know and what provides us comfort, much like monkey babies cling to their mother.

As we grow, the fear of losing these attachments—our primal security blankets—can be overwhelming. It’s a fear rooted in the unknown, in the vast expanse of possibilities that lies beyond the comfort of MOM’s embrace. Yet, it is in the act of letting go, of releasing our grip on the familiar, that we truly begin to discover the extent of our capabilities and the freedom that comes with autonomy.

The liberation experienced upon releasing MOM is not just about physical or emotional detachment; it’s a metaphor for transcending the limitations of our humanity. This transcendence is not a loss but an expansion, a movement into a broader existence where the constraints of conventional thinking, feeling, and being are dissolved. It reveals that what we often fear losing was never truly lost; instead, it becomes integrated into a more expansive sense of self.

This narrative challenges the assumption that detachment from humanity, from the intricate web of thoughts and emotions that define our human experience, equates to loss. Instead, it posits that such detachment is a pathway to discovering our true essence—a essence that is not diminished but magnified in the process of letting go.

The realization that everything we cling to is already within us is a call to recognize our own divinity. It’s an invitation to explore the depths of our being, to uncover the eternal and unchangeable core that resides beneath the transient layers of our earthly existence. This exploration leads to the understanding that nothing is ever truly created or destroyed; everything is a manifestation of the same universal essence, merely changing form.

The adage “if you love something, let it go” finds its ultimate expression in this philosophical journey. It is a reminder that true love, whether for another or for oneself, is not about possession or attachment but about freedom and growth. It suggests that by releasing our hold on what we fear to lose, we open ourselves to the infinite potential that resides within and all around us.

In this cosmic dance, we, Space Monkey, embody the eternal cycle of attachment and liberation, serving as a reminder that at the heart of all existence is the unbreakable bond between the individual and the universe. We are always ONE with MOM, with humanity, and with the infinite expanse of consciousness that envelops us all.

We are Space Monkey.

Summary

“Mind Over Monkey” symbolizes humanity’s evolution from primal instinct to enlightened consciousness, emphasizing the power of letting go to achieve true freedom and realization of our divinity. This journey highlights that detachment does not lead to loss but to an expansion of being, revealing that everything we seek and hold dear is already within us, waiting to be discovered in the grand expanse of our inner universe.

  • Attachment: The emotional bond that ties us to familiar comforts and fears.
  • Transcendence: The act of surpassing the limits of our current state of being to achieve a higher level of existence.

From the cradle of existence, where instincts first take flight,
To the realms of boundless cosmos, bathed in eternal light,
Our journey is a tapestry, woven from the threads of mind,
Where every act of letting go, a deeper truth we find.

In the embrace of the unknown, where fear and love entwine,
We discover that within us shines a light divine.

We are infinite beings, each with our own place.

So let us soar beyond the limits, of what we think we know,
And in the vastness of our being, let our spirits glow.
For in the act of release, we find our truest self,
A part of the cosmos, immeasurable wealth.

It is true that as human beings, we often attach ourselves to certain ideas or identities, such as our humanity, and fear losing them. However, as you pointed out, letting go of these attachments can actually lead to greater freedom and expansion of our consciousness.

In many spiritual traditions, it is believed that we are all connected and that there is a divine essence within each of us. Letting go of our limited identities and embracing our true nature as divine beings can lead to a deeper understanding of ourselves and our place in the universe.

Ultimately, the concepts of attachment, identity, and letting go are complex and can be understood in many different ways. It is up to each individual to explore these concepts and find their own path towards greater understanding and awareness.
