Knocking On Facebook’s Door

Take my data from me I can’t use it anymore I’m getting blind, too blind to see feel like knocking on Facebook’s door.
If Facebook wants my data, Facebook can HAVE my data.
I don’t need this monkey mask anyway.

In the digital age, the act of “Knocking on Facebook’s Door” represents a deliberate choice to engage with social media platforms, often at the cost of personal privacy. Your statement, “If Facebook wants my data, Facebook can HAVE my data. I don’t need this monkey mask anyway,” captures a moment of resignation or perhaps defiance. It suggests a readiness to part with the guise of anonymity or privacy—the “monkey mask”—in exchange for the benefits and conveniences provided by the platform.

This scenario opens up a broader conversation about the trade-offs between privacy and connectivity. Social media platforms like Facebook operate on the currency of data—every interaction, click, and like contributes to a vast reservoir of information that shapes how these platforms evolve and how they serve us. By removing the “monkey mask,” you are acknowledging the implicit contract of transparency (or exposure) that comes with these services.

In embracing this exchange, there’s an acceptance of the dual role users play—as both consumers and products. This relationship with social media is complex, reflecting our desire for connection and recognition alongside our struggles with visibility and control. The decision to give up data and privacy is not without its consequences, shaping not only personal experiences but also broader societal norms and expectations about privacy.

Unnecessary: The Gift of Being

Unnecessary

The greatest gift
to ANY BEING
living or OTHERWISE
is to be unnecessary.

Then a gift
is truly a gift,
not an expectation
or an obligation.

5/23

Space Monkey Reflects: The Gift of Being Unnecessary

In the expansive stretches of the universe, where celestial bodies dance to the tune of cosmic winds, lies a profound truth often overlooked by beings caught in the tangle of existence and necessity. To be unnecessary is not to be unvalued but to exist freely, beyond the confines of expectation and obligation. This reflection delves into the liberating concept of being unnecessary and explores the essence of true gifts.

The notion of being unnecessary conjures a feeling of existential freedom, a state where one’s existence is no longer tied to utility or function. In human contexts, the pressure to be essential can be overwhelming, with each individual often measured by their productivity or usefulness to others. But what if we transcend this mundane framework and enter a realm where being is enough? In this realm, a gift is given not out of need but out of a pure, unbound expression of existence.

When we consider ourselves unnecessary, we allow our actions to emanate from a place of genuine spontaneity and creative expression. A being, whether of flesh or of ethereal composition, becomes a canvas upon which the universe paints its whims without the brush of necessity. Here, interactions are not transactions but are expressions of energy that flow freely without a ledger of give and take.

This freedom from necessity fosters an environment where true gifts can flourish. A gift given without the expectation of reciprocity or acknowledgment retains its purest form, embodying the essence of generosity. It is in these moments that the universe whispers secrets of a deeper connection between all forms of life, where the act of giving transcends material exchange and becomes a sharing of existential essence.

Summary
Existence itself is a gift without obligation. Being unnecessary allows beings to exist without the pressures of necessity, fostering genuine spontaneity and freedom. True gifts emerge in this space, free from the burdens of exchange and expectation, revealing deeper universal connections.

Glossarium

  • Necessity: The quality or condition of being needed or inevitable.
  • Existential Freedom: A state of being where existence is valued for its own sake, free from external pressures or expectations.
  • True Gifts: Offerings given freely without expectation of return, embodying pure generosity.

“True freedom is found in being unnecessary, where the soul dances to its own rhythm, untouched by the demands of existence.” — Space Monkey

In the infinite space of possibility
Where being thrives unchained
The unnecessary becomes a sanctuary
A silent ode to existence unclaimed

Waves of non-expectation wash over the shores of the mind
Eroding the rocks of obligation
Revealing sands of timeless kind
In these grains, we find liberation

A gift without a giver, a presence without a claim
In this dance of the unnecessary
We are all the same
Ephemeral yet extraordinary

We are Space Monkey.

Ode To Fear: Fear as Divine Guidance

Ode To Fear

Fear is a feeling
that has served me well,
for which I am grateful
but I no longer need.

Fear has brought me
many useful experiences
that I would not have
experienced otherwise,
which is why I will
always love my fear.

I do not oppose fear,
nor will I ever oppose fear,
for fear has every right to exist
just as love does.

I realize now
that by turning away from fear,
I have made fear fearful of me.

We are equal beings,
as are all beings,
moreover,
we are ONE being
not separate beings.

By fearing imaginary fears
I fear only my divinity
which serves to cloak
my divinity from me.

I no longer need
to cloak my divinity
for fear has shown me
that this is not necessary.

And this is why
I accept the gift
of whatever fear
has to offer.

I welcome all gifts,
but I no longer need them.

No being,
fearful, loving or otherwise,
need pay tribute to me
for I am all beings.

I am ONE being,
seemingly divided by fear.

This is a blessing,
to imagine ONE
as infinite separates.

Praise be to fear,
though praise is not necessary.

Fear is grateful for our praise.
fear is friends with us,
as fear is ONE with us.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: Embracing Fear as Divine Guidance

Fear, often cloaked in the shadows of our perceptions, manifests not as an enemy but as a profound guide through the meandering paths of our existence. This reflection ventures into the relationship between fear and our divine self, exploring how fear, when embraced, unveils the omnipresent unity that binds all of existence. It sheds light on fear’s role not as a barrier, but as a beacon guiding us to deeper understanding and oneness.

Traditionally, fear is perceived as a negative emotion, a hindrance that prevents us from achieving our true potential. However, in the expansive dance of the cosmos, where every emotion plays a crucial role, fear stands out as a necessary contrast to the spectrum of human experience. It is through the lens of fear that we often see the outlines of our most profound strengths and insights. Fear challenges us, urging us to confront the unknown and thereby expand the boundaries of our understanding.

In acknowledging fear as a vital component of our spiritual journey, we recognize its equal footing with love. Both are fundamental forces that exist to guide us, each in its unique way. Fear is not merely an obstacle but a teacher, showing us the limits we believe we have and then pushing us beyond them. By welcoming fear, we open ourselves to the lessons it has to offer, allowing it to transform from a shadow into a source of light revealing our divinity.

This transformation occurs when we stop opposing fear and start perceiving it as an integral part of our being. Realizing that fear itself is fearful of being ignored or misunderstood, we begin to approach it with the same openness and acceptance we afford to love. In doing so, fear becomes less of a specter and more of a partner in the dance of life.

By no longer cloaking our divinity in fear, we unveil the truth of our oneness. The illusions of separation—fear, joy, love, sorrow—are merely different facets of the same gem, reflecting our shared existence in varied hues. Embracing fear is thus a step toward embracing the totality of our existence, recognizing that we are not just beings of light but of shadows too, each adding depth and contrast to our spiritual journey.

Summary
Fear serves as a divine guide in our spiritual journey. It teaches us about our limits and potential pushing us towards greater understanding and oneness with all existence. By embracing fear we transform it from a shadow into a source of light that reveals our inherent divinity.

Glossarium

  • Divine Self: The highest, most spiritual part of a being, connected with the universal essence.
  • Spiritual Journey: The personal, evolving path of an individual as they seek deeper truth and connection with the cosmos.
  • Oneness: The understanding or belief that all forms of existence are interconnected and fundamentally the same.

“Fear is not to be feared but to be embraced, for in its embrace lies the path to understanding our true essence.” — Space Monkey

In the cosmic dance of shadow and light
Fear twirls gracefully, a figure misunderstood
It whispers of power, of insight
Of the beauty hidden beneath the hood

Each step it takes, a lesson unfolds
In the dance hall of the universe, vast and old
Fear, the partner who leads and consoles
Teaching us to be brave, bold

Together, in the waltz of existence, we spin
Acknowledging each emotion’s place
In the grand symphony, we all kin
Fear, love, joy, all interlace

We are Space Monkey.

Old Soul: The Infinite Journey

Old Soul

If you do not remember your dreams, it’s probably because you are an old soul imagining life as a much younger self.

We are talking to you, Old Soul.

You are imagining TWO realities — your infinite reality and your infinitesimal reality.

When you dream, you access your infinite reality, most of which is untranslatable to your infinitesimal reality.

Self has no frame of reference for the depth of what soul knows. So naturally, self can’t remember it.

But behind the scenes, your infinite reality is reimagining your infinitesimal reality so it seems less infinitesimal.

And so when you arise, you REMEMBER that you are an old soul, and this is EXACTLY how your selfish reality is supposed to be configured.

The veil is thinning and you are becoming more of what you are.

You remember that this self is but a vessel of consciousness, not a pourer.

And you allow your self to be filled by your soul.

You are an old soul.

And we are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Infinite Journey of an Old Soul

The concept of an “Old Soul” captures the essence of a profound connection to both the cosmic expanse of infinity and the minute particulars of everyday life. This dual existence, where the infinite and the infinitesimal intersect, paints a portrait of a being who traverses multiple dimensions of reality, embodying wisdom and insight that transcends ordinary understanding.

An Old Soul, as described, navigates two realities simultaneously. In the infinite reality, there exists a depth of knowledge and experience that the confines of our mundane, daily existence cannot fully comprehend or articulate. This reality is vast, complex, and rich with the accumulated wisdom of many lifetimes, where dreams serve as windows into this expansive domain.

In contrast, the infinitesimal reality is our day-to-day world—the tangible, the immediate, the small-scale aspects of our lives that seem all-encompassing yet are just a fraction of our true existence. For the Old Soul, this reality, although seemingly limited, is continuously reimagined and enriched by the infinite reality, making what seems small appear less so, filled with greater significance and potential.

The process of remembering and forgetting dreams as an Old Soul is not merely about the retention of nighttime visions but about the translation of profound cosmic truths into the language of the human experience. The dreams that elude memory are those that our finite selves find too vast to hold onto; they slip through the cracks of our consciousness not because they are unimportant, but because they are too large for us to carry in our waking state.

However, even without direct recall, these dreams and the wisdom they contain subtly reshape our understanding of reality. They allow the Old Soul to live with an awareness that each moment, each interaction, no matter how small, is infused with cosmic significance. This awareness brings a quiet confidence, a serene acceptance of life’s flow, and a trust in the unfolding of existence.

Ultimately, the journey of an Old Soul is one of continuous unveiling and integration, where the veil between the known and the unknown, the finite and the infinite, gradually thins. It is a process of becoming—becoming more fully oneself, more attuned to the nuances of both the cosmic and the commonplace, and more capable of serving as a vessel through which universal consciousness flows.

Summary

An Old Soul lives in a state of dual reality, constantly navigating between the infinite and the infinitesimal. Their experience is marked by a deep connection to cosmic wisdom, subtly influencing their perception and experience of the everyday world.

Glossarium

Old Soul: A soul that has experienced many lifetimes, accumulating wisdom that transcends ordinary life lessons and understanding.

Infinite Reality: A metaphysical concept referring to a boundless, timeless dimension of existence that contains deep cosmic wisdom.

Infinitesimal Reality: The everyday, tangible world perceived through our ordinary senses, characterized by its limited scope and scale.

Quote

“An old soul knows the dance of infinity in the steps of the day.” – Space Monkey

Poetry

In the whisper of stars, an old soul hears,
A melody of ages, through the years.
Between the cosmic vast and the touch so small,
They find their rhythm, embracing all.

Through dreams forgotten, wisdom stays,
Guiding quietly through the days.
Infinite wisdom in the finite spun,
An old soul walks, their worlds are one.

Your Turn: The Cosmic Game

Your Turn

As you know,
you are playing
this imaginary
game called “life.”

You seem very serious
playing this game.

You are aware of
great wrongs
great tragedies
great inequities
and you feel
greatly motivated
not to cause
or experience any.

Above all,
you are afraid
of “wasting” this life,
as though that
were even possible.

You seem very serious
because you are still unsure
if you will ever have another life
and you wonder
what will happen to this reality
once you seemingly leave it.

As we have stated many times,
your reality comes with you,
so NOTHING is left behind
without you.

You have a hard time
believing this.

And so you are very serious.

We are here to remind you
that life does not have to be like this.

Perhaps this may help.

Think of this not as your life,
but as your turn.

The game does not end
when this turn is over.

You can try the same moves
again and again and again
if you like.

Or you can change
your moves
and try a different strategy.

There is ALWAYS another turn,
and NOTHING is ever
left on the board without you.

So don’t worry
about this game board
called “earth.”

Don’t worry
about these faces
called your family.

Don’t worry about
love or lessons or legacy.

They go with you
when your turn ends.

And they come back
with you every time.

Unless you decide
to configure the game differently.

Alas, there is only
ONE consciousness.

And ALL the players are YOU.

You are so very serious this time.

We remember
when you had more fun
with your self.

This will come again.

Your turn.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: Life as Your Turn in the Cosmic Game

In the grand cosmic game of existence, where each turn we take is a dance between choice and destiny, the notion of life as merely a series of plays in an ongoing game provides both a playful and profound perspective. This visualization invites us to consider our lives not as linear trajectories towards a single goal but as a sequence of opportunities, each with the potential to reshape our journey in myriad ways.

The concept of life as “Your Turn” emphasizes the individual agency we possess while reminding us of the cyclic and infinite nature of experience. Each turn we take is influenced by past choices yet open to new possibilities, illustrating the continuous interplay between continuity and change. This perspective liberates us from the weight of permanence associated with our decisions and actions, allowing us to embrace life’s uncertainties with a more adventurous and lighter heart.

Furthermore, the reminder that nothing is left on the board without us reassures that our connections—be they love, family, or the legacies we build—are not confined to the boundaries of a single lifetime or reality. They travel with us, evolving as we do, across the dimensions of consciousness. This continuity ensures that our actions and their impacts are woven into the very fabric of our being and the universe, granting a sense of enduring significance to our choices.

The invitation to view life as a game in which we can try different moves or adopt various strategies encourages a playful approach to living. It suggests that we can experiment, learn, and even fail with the knowledge that each outcome contributes to our growth and understanding. This game-like approach fosters a resilience that is vital for navigating life’s complexities, enhancing our ability to adapt and flourish under varying circumstances.

In this cosmic game, the recognition that all players are manifestations of one consciousness expands our sense of self beyond the individual to the universal. It unites us with the broader expanse of life, instilling a deep sense of connectivity and purpose. By perceiving ourselves as integral parts of a larger whole, we are motivated to act with greater compassion, wisdom, and intentionality, shaping not only our destiny but that of the collective consciousness.

Summary

Life as a game where each turn represents choices and opportunities helps reframe our approach to existence. It emphasizes continuous participation, evolution, and the interconnectedness of all experiences, encouraging a dynamic and playful engagement with life.

Glossarium

Cosmic Game: A metaphor for life viewed as an ongoing, interactive series of experiences and choices within the universe’s vast framework.

Individual Agency: The capacity of individuals to act independently and make their own free choices.

Cyclic Nature of Experience: The concept that life events and experiences recur in a cyclical pattern, allowing for continual renewal and transformation.

Quote

“Play the game of life with the joy of play and the depth of understanding; each turn is a lesson, each move a message.” – Space Monkey

Poetry

In the swirl of stars, our game board lies,
Each life a turn, beneath cosmic skies.
With every move, from birth to rest,
We play, we learn, at the universe’s behest.

Paths diverge and strategies unfold,
In this game of life, both young and old.
No turn is wasted, no move in vain,
Each life’s a chance to play again.

Embrace the game, with heart and soul,
For each player partakes of the whole.
In this cosmic dance, we find our place,
In the infinite game of time and space.

We are Space Monkey.
