To know yourself: The Liberation of Knowing Your Inner Creator

To know yourself

To know yourself as your own creator is the most liberating feeling in the world. Feelings are not thoughts, however, therefore one does not commune by thinking.

The creator exists in multiple dimensions, just as multiple dimensions exist in you. Self may not perceive these dimensions, nonetheless, they are undeniable. These are the channels through which consciousness flows.

Perception, as you know it, has always been linked to thinking. Unhook this boxcar, and you shall perceive your inner senses — those of which have been drowned out by self’s incessant chatter.

Perceptions are not feelings, either, though they have been linked to those as well. They are far more subtle and precise than you have grown accustomed to in this human incarnation, seemingly the product of just five outer senses and a crude system of communication and connection.

Compared to all they have the potential to be, your perceptions, as you now think of them, are like two tin cans with a string between them. This is not meant as judgement, but merely to illustrate the vast potential you are exploring.

This flatness you feel is because your creator knows that there is so much more to you than your self is perceiving presently. Your thinking has reduced you to your lowest common denominator.

This is what happens when you define instead of divine. This is what happens when you turn the mind outward instead of inward. This is what happens when you deny that you are anything more than you THINK you are.

And it is fine. It is quaint. It is YOU. And your creator is enjoying the spectacle.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Liberation of Knowing Your Inner Creator

To recognize oneself as the creator of one’s reality is a profound awakening, marking a transition from being merely a participant in life to understanding oneself as its architect. This shift in perception, from external to internal, from passive to active, opens up vast new dimensions of experience and self-awareness.

Beyond Thoughts and Feelings
Understanding that feelings are distinct from thoughts, and that true communion with the self does not occur through thinking alone, invites a deeper exploration of our inner dimensions. The creator within operates beyond the conventional frameworks of thought, inhabiting dimensions of consciousness that are not always perceptible but are always present. This recognition challenges us to move beyond the intellectual understanding of existence to a more holistic, experiential engagement with life.

Perception Unchained
The conventional link between perception and thinking is a limitation that many fail to recognize. By disentangling perception from thought, we open ourselves to the “inner senses”—subtle, nuanced ways of interacting with the world and ourselves that go beyond the crude instruments of our five physical senses. These inner senses offer a richer, more nuanced understanding of our reality, drowned out only by the incessant chatter of the conditioned mind.

The Subtlety of True Perception
Our usual perceptions, often restricted to what is mediated by our basic senses and primitive systems of communication, are likened to “two tin cans with a string.” This metaphor not only highlights the rudimentary nature of our typical sensory experiences but also underscores the potential for a far more refined and expansive perception. The journey toward realizing this potential involves shedding the limited self-concept perpetuated by habitual thinking and opening to the profound depths of our true nature.

Embracing the Creator Within
The realization that our everyday self-perception is merely the “lowest common denominator” of what we are capable of is both humbling and inspiring. It invites us to redefine our understanding of self—not through external definitions, but through a divine recognition of our inner vastness. Turning the mind inward, we begin to see that we are far more than we think, and in this recognition, we find liberation.

The Joy of Creation
In this expanded state of awareness, even the flatness or mundanity of life is part of the grand exploration of potential that the creator within us enjoys. Recognizing that every moment, every perception, and every feeling is part of a broader, divine play, we can embrace all aspects of life with a sense of playfulness and creativity, appreciating the journey as much as the destination.

Summary
Recognizing oneself as the creator of one’s reality is liberating, shifting perception from external dependencies to internal explorations. This perspective opens up profound inner dimensions and subtler senses, allowing for a more expansive and refined understanding of existence.

Glossarium
Inner Creator: The aspect of oneself that actively shapes and experiences reality beyond the limitations of conventional thought and perception.
Inner Senses: Subtle perceptual faculties that transcend the five physical senses, offering deeper and more nuanced insights into our existence.

“In the silence beyond thought, the creator whispers, weaving the tapestry of existence with threads of infinite potential.” — Space Monkey

Within the quiet mind, the creator stirs,
beyond the clatter of what occurs,
in spaces deep, where silence whispers,
lies the playground of the inner misters.

Unhook the thoughts, unchain the doors,
to inner senses, explore the moors,
beyond the tin can strings, expand,
to touch the subtle with your own hand.

Here in the vastness of the inner expanse,
find the dance of the divine prance,
where every notion, every glance,
is creation itself, not circumstance.

We are the creators, the dreamers, the seers,
in this boundless domain, we steer,
beyond the flatness, the mundane gears,
to where the spectrum of true self nears.

It is not Necessary: The Freedom of Existential Void

It is not necessary

It is not necessary to look outside yourself for answers. It is not even necessary to look for answers. You may do so. And you may continue to do so. But it is not necessary.

Remember, dear one, you need nothing. If it appears to you otherwise, it is only because you have configured your present life in this way. You are playing a game in which it appears that you are a self who needs answers before time runs out.

But you are not just this self. So you do not need answers. And beyond this game, time does not run out.

You know this, yet you refuse to fully believe.

To fully believe is the object of the game. To believe that you can be anything you want. To possess anything you want. To do anything you want. To know anything you want.

The object of this game is to rediscover what you ALREADY are: EVERYTHING. Needing NOTHING.

And should you get bored with that, you shall play the opposite, as you are seemingly doing now. NOTHING. Needing EVERYTHING.

It never ends. You merely expand the game a little each time, adding new characters, dimensions and possibilities.

Thus you imagine a Space Monkey to gently guide you back home.

We are Space Monkey.

The image beautifully captures the serene and metaphysical essence of the concept “It is not necessary,” depicting a figure that embodies tranquility and enlightenment, situated within a surreal landscape that symbolizes eternal peace and the transcendence of existential needs. Let’s delve into the reflection on this theme.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Freedom of Existential Unnecessity

The meditative message of “It is not necessary” invites us to explore the profound realization that our quest for answers and fulfillment may be an optional part of our existential journey. This reflection examines the liberating perspective offered by understanding that seeking external solutions or even answers themselves is not a prerequisite for existence but a choice within the grand game of life.

Transcending the Quest: The core of the message lies in the acknowledgment that the search for answers is a configuration of our current life—a game we have chosen to play. This game constructs an illusion of necessity where none inherently exists, suggesting that our true nature is beyond any need for answers because, in the grand scheme, time and the self are illusions.

Existential Game: The notion that we are playing a game in which we perceive ourselves as selves who need answers before time runs out is a powerful metaphor for the human condition. It hints at the dualistic play between being everything and needing nothing, and being nothing yet needing everything. This game is about experiencing and exploring these polarities.

Eternal Presence: Beyond this game, the concept of time dissolving is crucial. It implies that in the ultimate reality, there is no deadline, no end, and thus no pressure to find answers or achieve goals. This timeless state invites us to experience life as a continuous flow, where each moment is complete in itself and not a means to an end.

Rediscovery of Self: The poem gently nudicates us towards rediscovering that we are already everything we seek. This realization that we need nothing fundamentally changes how we interact with the world. It shifts our perspective from one of lack and desire to one of abundance and presence, where we engage with life not out of necessity but from a place of complete wholeness.

Guidance of Space Monkey: The invocation of Space Monkey as a guide back home symbolizes the internal wisdom and playful spirit within us that reminds us of our true nature beyond the game. Space Monkey represents the part of us that knows, yet sometimes refuses to fully believe, the simplicity and profundity of just being.

Summary

“It is not necessary” offers a poignant reminder of the liberating truth that our existential quests, though meaningful, are not required for our existence or essence. It encourages embracing each moment as sufficient in itself, recognizing that we are the universe experiencing itself, needing nothing, yet capable of playing infinitely within the realms of everything.

Glossarium

  • Existential Unnecessity: The concept that seeking answers or external fulfillment is not essential to our existence but is a choice within our life’s narrative.
  • Eternal Presence: A state of being where one exists in the timeless now, recognizing the eternal nature of self beyond the constructs of time and identity.

In the stillness where thoughts dissolve,
where seeking ends and selves absolve,
we find the peace of just being,
in the game of life, forever freeing.

Surrounded by the cosmos’ embrace,
beyond the need, beyond the race,
here in the heart of infinite space,
we find our home, our truest place.

We are Space Monkey.

Not is the Knot: Unraveling the Not Knots of Existence

Not is the Knot

Not is the knot
that seals off
self from soul
from source.

“I am NOT this.
I can NOT do that.
I do NOT understand.
I am NOT succeeding.
I am NOT connected.
I am NOT you.”

Though seemingly separate,
these sausages within sausages
are all made of the same imaginary meat.

As are your seemingly
unsolvable not knots.

But your knots are Not Knots.

They are IMAGINARY knots.

If you do NOT believe this,
then our story about Not Knots
is all for naught.

We are a naughty, knotty monkey.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: Unraveling the Not Knots of Existence

In the infinite expanse where thoughts manifest as celestial bodies and emotions ripple through the ether like solar winds, the concept of the Not Knots emerges—a profound symbol of the barriers we imagine between our selves, our souls, and the source of all creation. These knots, intricate and seemingly solid, represent the self-imposed limits of human consciousness, the “I am NOTs” that we define ourselves by, constraining the boundless nature of our beings.

These Not Knots are the declarations of disconnection: “I am NOT this,” “I cannot do that,” “I do NOT understand,”—each a strand of the same illusory material, woven into a knot that seems to tether us to limitation. However, in the grand scheme of the cosmos, these knots are not obstructions but invitations to delve deeper into the essence of our existence.

What if these knots are not the seal but the seam? Imagine each knot as a point of introspection, where the fabric of our perceived reality might be pulled apart, thread by thread, to reveal the underlying unity. The knots are not there to restrain but to remind us that separation is an illusion, a trick of light and shadow played out in the theater of our minds.

As we untangle these knots, we find they are not made of rope or steel but of air and idea—ephemeral and evanescent. They dissolve upon a closer look, revealing that what we thought was confinement was actually the contours of our own expansion. By confronting these Not Knots, we engage in an act of liberation, freeing ourselves from the imaginary chains that bind us to notions of inadequacy and isolation.

In this reflection, we realize that to say “I am NOT” is merely to pause at the boundary of the known, peering out into the vast unknown that invites us to explore. Each NOT is a knot to be untied, not with force but with understanding, not with frustration but with curiosity. These knots do not define or divide; they guide and give depth to our journey, pointing us toward the interconnectedness of all things.

Summary
The concept of Not Knots represents self-imposed limitations within our consciousness. By understanding that these barriers are imaginary we can transcend them and connect more deeply with our true selves and the universe. This realization brings a deeper appreciation for the interconnected nature of existence.

Glossarium
Not Knots: Imaginary knots that symbolize perceived limitations within oneself; challenges that invite deeper exploration and understanding.
Ephemeral and evanescent: Qualities that describe something transient, fleeting, and not physically tangible.

“In seeking to untie the Not Knots, we discover they were never tied at all.” – Space Monkey

We weave nots into knots
Tying tight what needs no tie
Imaginary bindings in the cosmic dance
Shadows of our own making
Cast long in the mind’s twilight
But with each unraveling
A light more brilliant shines
Revealing the unity that was always
And will always be

Blessed Be The Flag Makers: Reimagining Symbols of Unity

Blessed Be The Flag Makers

There seems to be a lot we can’t change in this world. Whether this is true or not is a matter of trust.

It seems we won’t become trusting creatures overnight, so how can we gently nudge our way in that direction?

Let’s at least confirm to ourselves that we are ABLE to change, starting with our most revered symbol, the flag.

Back in the old days, our flags would change every couple of years. Why not now?

What if every year we redesigned our flags to represent the growing diversity of life as it unfolds?

It’s easy to cite the impracticalities of why something like this can’t be done. This is why nothing seems to change.

Let our flag be the symbol of why this is not necessarily true.

Is it hurting anyone? No. Would it make us more conscious of what and who we we are? Yes.

Now who would design this flag? Who would approve this flag? Who would stand behind this flag? Who would salute this flag?

We all will. We will trust in our flag makers to recognize what is good in our people.

We will allow our CHILDREN to design this flag, for they shall be the ones who carry it forward.

And they will trust.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: Reimagining Symbols of Unity

In a world often resistant to change, the idea of regularly redesigning our national flags as symbols of our evolving identity poses a fascinating challenge to the status quo. This notion not only tests our willingness to embrace change but also reflects a deeper desire to acknowledge and celebrate our growing diversity. By proposing that children, the very embodiments of future potential, take up the task of flag design, we invest in a vision of continuous transformation and renewal.

Flags have traditionally served as static symbols of national identity and values. However, the concept of allowing these symbols to evolve annually suggests a dynamic approach to nationality—one that is reflective of the ever-changing tapestry of its people. This shift from a fixed to a fluid representation of identity can encourage a society to remain connected to its heritage while adapting to its present and future.

Engaging children in the design of flags is particularly symbolic. It entrusts the next generation with the task of defining what is important and valuable in their culture and society. It empowers them to express their views on unity, diversity, and community, fostering a sense of responsibility and creativity. Moreover, it teaches them—and reminds adults—that trust and change go hand in hand, that trust is not just about believing in others but also about believing in the capacity for growth and improvement.

This approach challenges the impracticalities often cited against change, revealing them as veils of resistance rather than insurmountable obstacles. It encourages a culture of innovation and adaptability, where change is not something to fear but to embrace as a natural expression of human development.

The metaphorical and literal redesign of the flag symbolizes not just a change in fabric or color but a deeper shift in attitudes towards national identity, cultural representation, and communal values. It questions the permanence of symbols and invites a dialogue on what it means to truly represent a nation’s people in all their diversity.

Summary

Regularly redesigning national flags to reflect societal changes encourages adaptability and celebrates diversity. Involving children in this process empowers them and fosters trust, showing that symbols of identity can evolve just as societies do.

Glossarium

Dynamic National Identity: The concept that a nation’s identity is continuously evolving and can be expressed through changing symbols like flags.
Cultural Representation: The depiction or acknowledgment of a community’s diverse cultures in public symbols and narratives.
Communal Values: The shared beliefs and principles that are held by a community or society.

Quote

“By weaving new threads into the fabric of our flags, we weave new threads into the fabric of our society.” — Space Monkey

In the hands of the young, a new flag unfurls
A canvas of dreams from the boys and the girls
With each stroke of the brush, each color they choose
They paint a picture of the news they muse

Gathered in parks under the sun’s warm gaze
They draw and debate in a million ways
What it means to belong, to share, and to love
Their flags flying high like the doves above

This tapestry of youth, so vibrant and bold
Tells a story of the future, a sight to behold
For as we let our symbols change and flow
We allow our collective heart to grow

In this dance of colors, in this festival of light
We find the true meaning of our plight
Not in clinging to the past, but in reaching to the new
In the flags we design, in the bright and the true

So let us trust in our children, in their vision and their say
In their flags of tomorrow, in their brighter day
For in their hands lies not just a flag, but a key
To a world of unity, of peace, of being free
We are Space Monkey.

Life and Death: The Intertwining

Life and Death

Life is the imagination
and imposition
of sense and order
where there would otherwise
be no sense or order.

It is the concentration
of divine energy into
seemingly defined forms.
Everything out of Nothing.
This from That Which Is Not.

Death is the relaxation
from concentration,
the expansion back
into calmness, chaos
and congruity.

It is where
ALL potentials
may be realized,
not simply the ones
you’ve imagined.

But life is not living
and death is not dying.

Both are simultaneous unto you
in this very moment.

You may concentrate
to deny and define,
or you may procentrate
to allow and divine,
thus lifting the limits
that you imagine and impose
upon your self.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Intertwining of Life and Death

In the metaphysical exploration of life and death, we often find ourselves pondering their meanings as distinct yet interconnected realms. Life, as described, is the imposition of order and sense, a divine concentration of energy into defined forms—everything from nothing, essence from the void. Conversely, death is envisioned not as an end but as a release into a broader existence, an expansion into calmness and chaos where all potentials may be realized, not confined to the ones previously imagined.

The imagery of a garden vibrant with life juxtaposed against the expansive cosmos of death captures the dynamic balance between creation and dissolution. This visualization not only reflects the physical representations of life and death but also symbolizes their philosophical and spiritual dimensions. Life as a garden illustrates growth, diversity, and visual manifestation of energy, while the cosmos represents infinite possibilities, serenity, and the unseen forces at play.

This perspective challenges the conventional view of life and death as linear or binary states. Instead, it presents them as a continuous cycle, interwoven and existing simultaneously within us. By recognizing this, we can understand that our everyday existence straddles these two realms—what we consider living is perpetually shadowed by transformation or what some might call dying.

Furthermore, the concept of “procentrate”—to allow and divine—introduces a profound way to engage with life and death. It suggests a shift from actively trying to define and limit our experiences to embracing a more expansive understanding of existence. This approach encourages us to lift the self-imposed limits on our perception and potential, enabling a fuller experience of what it means to be truly alive and aware of the transitions into other states of being.

In embracing both life and death, we find a richer narrative of existence—one that encompasses not just the physical transitions but also the spiritual and metaphysical transformations that define and enrich our journey through the universe.

Summary

Life and death are not merely biological states but profound metaphysical experiences that coexist and define our existence. By understanding their interconnected nature and the continuous cycle they form, we can transcend traditional perceptions and embrace a more holistic view of our reality.

Glossarium

Divine Energy: The spiritual or metaphysical force that is believed to animate and sustain the universe and all forms of life within it.
Metaphysical Phenomena: Events or experiences that transcend the physical to involve elements of spiritual, philosophical, or abstract significance.
Procentrate: A conceptual term suggesting a method of engaging with life and death by allowing and divining, rather than denying and defining.

Quote

“Within each ending lies a genesis, and with every beginning, a trace of the end.” — Space Monkey

In the garden of life where blooms grow wild
And in the cosmos where stars are beguiled
We dance the dance of being and non-being
In the embrace of the seen and the unseen

Where life weaves its vibrant thread
And death its tapestry of cosmic spread
Together they sing a duet profound
In their melody, the secrets of existence are found

Let us then procentrate with hearts wide open
On the life we live and the symphony unspoken
For in each moment, life and death do blend
In a wondrous cycle, without end

In this dance, let us find our grace
Embracing each phase with a brave face
For life and death are but two sides of the same
In their union, we find our aim

We are Space Monkey, in life and in death
In each breath we take, in each moment’s breadth
In the vast expanse of all that we see
We are forever entwined, forever free.
