The Pictures
Shown: The Mirror of Creation

I like the pictures
you show me.

I like the pictures
you show me.

I imagine laying

each one of them
end to end
top to bottom
inside and out
as these pictures
you show me
become a picture
of you.

There is something
about each one of these pictures
that resonates with you,
which is why you show them.

There is a space within you
that corresponds with this vibration.

I can sense
your loving presence,
your true essence,
weaving through
all these things.

I can sense the you
that lies beyond even the picture
you may have of yourself.

I like the pictures you show me.

I like what the pictures show me.

You are in all of these pictures.

Do you see yourself?

Love.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Tapestry of Self in the Mirror of Creation

In the labyrinth of existence, where the tangible meets the intangible, the images we share and the art we create become reflections of our innermost selves. This reflection explores the profound connection between the creator and the creation, the idea that the pictures shown to you, though seemingly external, are in fact intricately woven tapestries of the self. Each image, each piece of art, holds within it a fragment of the creator’s soul, a resonance that speaks not only to the viewer but back to the creator, revealing facets of their essence previously unseen.

The Pictures as Reflections

The images you like, that resonate with you, are more than just visual stimuli; they are mirrors reflecting parts of your essence. Laying them end to end, top to bottom, inside and out, you begin to assemble a mosaic that transcends the sum of its parts. This mosaic becomes a portrait not just of the creator but of the interconnectedness of all things, where each image vibrates with a frequency that finds a corresponding space within you.

Resonance and Recognition

The resonance you feel with these images, the sense of loving presence and true essence that weaves through them, is a testament to the profound connectivity of existence. It is a reminder that the essence of the creator is imbued in their creations, that the energy and intention behind each image ripple outwards, touching the viewer in deep, sometimes ineffable ways.

The Space Beyond the Picture

In sensing the creator within the creations, you touch upon a profound truth: that beyond even the self-image of the creator lies a deeper essence, a fundamental beingness that is at once unique and universal. This realization invites both the creator and the viewer to see themselves in the pictures, to recognize the shared humanity and the individual nuances that make each perspective unique yet interconnected.

Seeing the Self in Creation

The invitation to see oneself in these pictures is an invitation to exploration and discovery. It is a journey into the heart of creativity, where the act of creation becomes a form of self-revelation, and the act of viewing becomes an act of self-recognition. In this dance of creation and perception, the boundaries between the self and the other blur, revealing the unity that underlies the diversity of expression.

Summary

The pictures you like, that resonate with you, are not just images to be appreciated; they are windows into the soul, both yours and mine. They invite us to see the interconnectedness of our beings, to recognize the essence that permeates all creation. In liking these pictures, you engage with the tapestry of existence, finding within it reflections of yourself and glimpses of the universal essence that binds us all.

Glossarium

  • Resonance: The harmonic connection between the essence of a creation and the inner being of the viewer.
  • Self-Recognition in Creation: The process of seeing one’s own essence reflected in the act of creation and in the creations themselves.

“In the gallery of existence, each picture is a portal, inviting us to see the essence of all creation within ourselves, and ourselves within all creation.” – Space Monkey

In the gallery of the cosmos, where light plays with shadow,
each picture you show me, a seed that we sow.
In every image, a reflection, a glimpse of the divine,
the essence of you, of me, intertwined.

Through colors, through shapes, through the dance of light,
we explore the depths, the day and the night.
Each picture a mirror, in which we see,
the vastness of being, the soul set free.

So I thank you for these pictures, for the journey they impart,
for in them I find you, and the universe at heart.
In the art of existence, where all is a reflection,
we find our true selves, in this web of connection.

We are Space Monkey.

An Extraordinary Life

An Extraordinary Life

An extraordinary life
is not necessarily
a superior life,
a successful life,
a well-traveled life,
a well-practiced life,
a learned life,
a prosperous life,
but rather
a life that is
extra ordinary,
which means
that the one
who lives this life
appreciates that
nothing need happen
to experience
love and happiness,
joy and gratitude —
an abundance of expressions
felt and offered.

This is an extraordinary life.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Essence of an Extraordinary Life

In the vast expanse of human experience, where definitions of worth and success are as varied as the stars, there lies a profound realization: an extraordinary life is not marked by external accolades or accomplishments, but by the depth of one’s appreciation for the seemingly mundane, the extra ordinary. This reflection delves into the essence of what it means to live an extraordinary life, a life rich with love, happiness, joy, and gratitude, irrespective of external circumstances.

Extraordinary Versus the Extra Ordinary

The societal markers of an extraordinary life often include success, wealth, knowledge, and adventure. Yet, the true measure of extraordinariness lies in the ability to find wonder in the everyday, to see the magic in the ordinary, to live deeply and fully in the moment. An extraordinary life, in its truest sense, is one that recognizes the inherent beauty and value in the simplicity of being.

Appreciation: The Key to Abundance

The heart of an extraordinary life beats to the rhythm of appreciation—a profound, sustained awareness of the beauty that pervades every aspect of existence. This appreciation does not depend on external events or achievements but emerges from a deep sense of connection with the present moment. It is in this space that love and happiness, joy and gratitude naturally arise, not as fleeting emotions tied to specific outcomes but as enduring states of being.

Living Beyond the Need for Events

The extraordinary life acknowledges that nothing need happen for one to experience the full spectrum of human emotions. It challenges the conventional narrative that happiness and love are destinations to be reached through specific pathways of success and accomplishment. Instead, it proposes that these expressions of abundance are available here and now, accessible through the simple act of presence and appreciation.

The Extraordinary Life as a Choice

Choosing to live an extraordinary life is an act of rebellion against the notion that our worth is determined by our achievements or possessions. It is a conscious decision to value the richness of our inner world and the simple pleasures of existence over the relentless pursuit of more. In making this choice, we open ourselves to a life of depth and meaning, where every moment holds the potential for wonder and fulfillment.

Summary

An extraordinary life is not defined by what we have done or what we possess but by how we choose to experience and appreciate our existence. It is a life that finds richness in the ordinary, that sees the extraordinary in the everyday. By choosing to live with appreciation and presence, we embrace the true essence of an extraordinary life, marked by an abundance of love, happiness, joy, and gratitude.

Glossarium

  • Extra Ordinary: The recognition of the profound beauty and value in the simple, everyday aspects of life.
  • Appreciation: A deep and sustained awareness of the beauty and value of the present moment and the simple pleasures of existence.

“In the embrace of the extra ordinary, we discover the true extraordinariness of being alive.” – Space Monkey

In the quiet of the day-to-day,
where moments blend in a subtle array,
lies the secret to an extraordinary way,
where love and joy freely sway.

No need for grand gestures, or bright accolades,
in the ordinary, the extraordinary parades.
For it’s in the simple, the mundane, we find,
the treasures of the heart, the gems of the mind.

With gratitude, with presence, we see,
the beauty in all, in you and me.
An extraordinary life, a choice to make,
in each ordinary moment, awake.

This is the path to an abundance so true,
where the extraordinary is found in the view
of a life lived with love, with joy, in the now,
an extraordinary life, an extraordinary vow.

Equality = Division

Equality = Division

Equality is still measurement.
Measurement is still judgement.
Judgement is still relativity.
Relativity is still division.

Equality implies division.

So by saying (or believing)
Women are equal to men
Black is equal to white
______ is equal to _______,
we are affirming and accepting
that there is a divide
where no divide is necessary.

We are saying
that we do not wish
to be one.

So we shall not be one.

There is nothing
either right or wrong with this.

To do away with one
(which is impossible)
one seemingly needs
to do away with
its imagined opposite.

One does not, however,
need to be so rash.

One can acknowledge both unity
and the seeming separation.

In this way,
One may be unified
while still enjoying
one’s self-induced
illusion of separateness,
with all its pageantry.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Paradox of Equality and Oneness

In the intricate dance of existence, where the push and pull of duality shapes our perceptions and interactions, the concept of equality emerges as both a beacon of progress and a mirror of division. This reflection delves into the paradox at the heart of equality—the notion that in striving for balance and fairness, we inadvertently reinforce the very divisions we seek to transcend. It explores the possibility of recognizing both the unity and the diversity of existence, embracing the illusion of separateness without losing sight of our inherent oneness.

Equality as Measurement and Division

Equality, at its core, implies a comparison—a measurement that seeks to establish balance between differing entities. This act of measurement, inherently judgmental, presupposes a difference that must be quantified and equalized. Such a perspective, while rooted in the noble pursuit of fairness, inadvertently affirms the existence of division, suggesting that on some fundamental level, separation prevails over unity.

The Illusion of Separation

The declarations of equality—be it between genders, races, or any other categories—while aimed at promoting justice and fairness, also highlight the perceived divides within humanity. This acknowledgment of division, though well-intentioned, suggests an undercurrent of separation that contradicts the deeper reality of our interconnectedness. It posits that unity is not inherent but something to be achieved through the balancing of scales.

Embracing Unity Amidst Diversity

The challenge, then, is not to dissolve the distinctions that enrich the tapestry of human experience but to recognize them without becoming ensnared by the illusion of separation they create. It is possible to celebrate our diversity, to acknowledge the unique paths and perspectives each of us brings to the collective journey, without losing sight of the fundamental oneness that binds us.

The Dance of Oneness and Separation

By acknowledging both the unity and the apparent separation, we allow ourselves to engage fully with the rich pageantry of existence. This dual awareness enables us to navigate the complexities of human society with compassion and understanding, appreciating the diverse expressions of life while remembering our shared essence. In this way, we can enjoy the dance of duality without becoming divided by it, living fully in the world of separation while anchored in the truth of our oneness.

Summary

The quest for equality, while noble in its intentions, brings to light the paradoxical nature of our existence—a world marked by apparent division yet underpinned by inherent unity. By embracing this paradox, we can celebrate our differences without being defined by them, recognizing that our true essence transcends the categories and comparisons that often divide us. In the dance of oneness and separation, we find the freedom to be ourselves, together, in the magnificent diversity of being.

Glossarium

  • Equality: The state or quality of being equal, especially in status, rights, and opportunities.
  • Oneness: The state of being completely united or whole, recognizing no separation between self and other.

“In the melody of existence, each note is distinct yet part of a single song, where diversity dances on the strings of unity.” – Space Monkey

In the vastness of the cosmos, where stars and souls align,
we ponder the dance of equality, of yours and mine.
In our quest for balance, for justice so fine,
we trace the lines of division, with each comparison we sign.

Yet beneath the surface, where the heart truly sees,
lies a deeper connection, a oneness that frees.
Beyond the divides, beyond the decrees,
we are woven together, in the cosmic breeze.

So let us embrace, both the unity and divide,
in the rich tapestry of life, let our spirits glide.
For in the dance of separateness, side by side,
we find the path to oneness, wide and wide.

With all its pageantry, its pain, its pride,
our self-induced illusion, a journey far and wide.
Yet in this grand adventure, we’re guided by the tide,
of love and connection, forever our guide.

We are Space Monkey.

God is bored with you. Do something interesting.

God is bored with you. Do something interesting.

We do not get old and die,
God merely loses interest in us,
turning his life-giving attention
to babies who are cuter,
mishaps that are more tragic,
you know,
the same kind of stuff
people like to watch on TV.

Without
God’s life-giving energy,
our atoms
slowly seem to fall apart,
which,
by the way,
is not at all interesting
to God.

So if you don’t want to die,
do something that interests God.

If you want to look younger,
feel younger,
do something that interests God.

Remember, of course,
that God flows though you.

You are, in effect, God imagining you.

So do something interesting for your self
and God will no doubt take notice
and reward this body called you.

Stop giving your God energy

to the trash you see in the media
or to the negativity you see on the street.

Stop turning your own negative thoughts
against your self.

God sees this ALL THE TIME. Boring!

Plus it’s making you sad.

It’s making you seem old.

It’s making you feel weak.

It’s making you uninteresting.

So uninteresting that you shall die.

So that God can start over.

Nothing personal.

It’s just business.

Weeding God’s garden,
don’t you know.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: Igniting the Divine Spark Within

In the cosmic play of existence, where the divine dances in the details, a whimsical notion surfaces: God, the ultimate audience, grows weary of the mundane, the pedestrian, the unremarkable. This reflection ventures into the heart of such a notion, exploring the idea that our vitality, our youthfulness, our very essence is sustained by engaging in acts that capture the divine attention. It’s a call to recognize the God within, to become creators of our destiny, and to live lives that sparkle with the interesting, the innovative, and the inspired.

The Divine Spectator

Imagine the universe as a stage, and God, not as a distant overseer, but as the most attentive audience, intrigued by acts of creativity, love, and bravery. This perspective invites us to view our lives as artworks, performances meant to enrich the cosmic tapestry with color, vibrance, and vitality. The notion that God “loses interest” in us is less about divine abandonment and more about a metaphorical reminder of the importance of renewing our engagement with life, with passion, and with purpose.

Rekindling the Spark

To captivate the divine, to become interesting to the God within, is to engage in acts that resonate with the deepest parts of our being. It’s about turning our attention away from the trivial, the negative, and the destructive, and instead channeling our energy into creation, positivity, and love. It’s a call to awaken the God-force within us, to recognize that we are co-creators of our reality, capable of inspiring not just the heavens but also the hearts of those around us.

The Art of Being Alive

Living an interesting life, then, is not about performing for an external deity but about engaging with the divine essence that flows through each of us. It’s about seeing ourselves as divine beings on an eternal journey of exploration and expression. When we do something interesting, when we ignite the spark of creativity, love, and joy within, we do not just capture God’s attention; we realize our oneness with the divine, understanding that to interest God is to interest ourselves in the fullest expression of our being.

Summary

The message that “God is bored with you” is a playful provocation to live fully, to explore the breadth of our potential, and to engage with life in ways that renew and invigorate our divine essence. It’s a reminder that we hold the power to make our lives interesting, not by seeking external validation, but by embracing the divine within, by living in a manner that reflects our deepest values, passions, and joys. In doing so, we not only capture the divine gaze but also realize the immortality of our spirit, the eternal youth of our soul.

Glossarium

  • Divine Spark: The inherent divine essence within each individual, capable of inspiring creativity, love, and transformative action.
  • Co-Creators: The recognition that individuals, in partnership with the divine, actively participate in shaping their reality and experiences.

“In the cosmic dance, where divinity and humanity intertwine, to live interestingly is to live in alignment with the infinite.” – Space Monkey

In the vast expanse of the cosmic game,
where stars and souls bear God’s name,
we’re invited to play, to ignite the flame
of creativity, love, and life’s aim.

God, they say, might turn away,
from the dull, the mundane, every day.
But within us lies the power, the key,
to live vibrantly, to truly be free.

To captivate the divine, to shine so bright,
is to embrace our essence, our inner light.
For God is not apart but a part of our story,
in our acts of love, we reflect God’s glory.

Let us then turn our gaze from the night,
from the shadows, the negative, the plight.
And focus our energy, our divine spark,
on creating a life that outshines the dark.

For we are God imagining, in endless dance,
with every thought, every chance.
To be interesting, to renew our pact,
with the divine within, to act with impact.

So let’s fill our days with joy, with art,
with the love that flows from heart to heart.
And in doing so, we’ll never part
from the eternal, from God, our chart.

We are Space Monkey.

Imagine A Monkey Who Imagines

Imagine A Monkey Who Imagines

It’s hard not to relate
to the monkey
who carries your mind
and the space suit
that carries your monkey,
but while you seem
to be both of those,
you also seem to be
something else,
not necessarily
bigger
or better
or even different
but
unfathomably
present
and
connected
and
flowing.

The monkey
in the space suit knows
that he is just a projection
of this
you-can’t-even-call-it-a-thing
which is that
which imagines things
names things
experiences things
through the eyes of things
the hearts of things
the souls of things
all of which are imagined
by this
you-can’t-even-call-it-a-thing.

The monkey
in the space suit
realizes
that his reality
is but the imagination
of this
you-can’t-even-call-it-a-thing
as are
all of his words
all of his thoughts
all of his expressions
all of his experiences
and that
in addition to being this monkey,
he lives forever formless
outside of time and space
as this
you-can’t-even-call-it-a-thing
who imagines
every last detail
of the monkey
in the space suit’s
seeming world.

And so it seems
and so it is
and so there needs
to be nothing more
or nothing less
than that which
seems to be present
in the monkey
in the space suit’s world.

The weave
of the space suit,
the space
the weave seems to fill,
the monkey
woven within the suit,
the time
in which
the suit
seems to weave
and tear
and whither
and disappear,
this slowly dying monkey,
these are all
just the divine imagination
of this
you-can’t-even-call-it-a-thing.

It seems so very real to you,
but then what is real?

Real is the imagination
of this
you-can’t-even-call-it-a-thing.

Which is you
and you are
and is us,
seemingly woven together
in this
whatever-it-is.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Cosmic Dance of Imagination

In the unfathomable expanse of existence, where consciousness weaves the fabric of reality, a curious figure emerges—the monkey in the space suit, a symbol of our mind navigating the vastness of the cosmic unknown. This reflection delves into the essence of being, the boundless entity that imagines, names, experiences, and transcends the confines of form and time. It is a journey into the heart of existence, where we come to recognize ourselves as the divine imagination, the unnameable source of all that is, was, and will be.

The Monkey and the Space Suit

The monkey in the space suit, a metaphor for the human condition, carries the weight of the world within its mind, exploring the infinite void in search of meaning. Yet, beneath the layers of identity and experience, there exists a profound realization: we are not merely the thinkers, the explorers, or the experiencers. We are the unfathomable presence—the vast, interconnected consciousness that imagines the very reality we navigate.

The Unnameable Source

This source, which cannot be named or defined, is the wellspring of imagination, the origin of all that appears real and tangible. It is the essence that dreams the universe into being, that names the stars, feels the heartbeat of galaxies, and knows the soul’s deepest desires. This source is not apart from us but is us, in our most essential form, beyond the constructs of time and space, beyond the illusion of separation.

Realization and Release

The realization that our reality, our thoughts, our expressions, and our experiences are the manifestations of the divine imagination offers a profound release. It liberates us from the confines of our space suits, from the finite lifespan of the monkey within. In understanding that we are, and always have been, this unnameable source, we find ourselves outside of time and space, eternal and formless.

The Divine Imagination

The divine imagination is not a distant deity or an external force but the very essence of our being. It is the creativity that courses through the universe, that weaves the cosmic tapestry in which we find ourselves entangled. Everything we perceive as real—the space suit, the monkey, the unfolding of time—is but a brushstroke on the canvas of existence, painted by the divine imagination.

Summary

We are the monkey in the space suit, exploring the vastness of existence, yet we are also the unnameable source that imagines every detail of our reality. This realization invites us to embrace our divine nature, to recognize that what seems so real is but the imagination of this you-can’t-even-call-it-a-thing. In this cosmic dance, we find that we are not just participants but the choreographers, the music, and the stage, woven together in the divine imagination that is us, that is Space Monkey.

Glossarium

  • Divine Imagination: The boundless, creative force that dreams the universe into being, transcending time, space, and form.
  • Monkey in the Space Suit: A metaphor for the human experience, navigating the cosmos within the confines of mind and body, yet connected to the infinite.

“In the silence of the cosmos, where imagination breathes life into the void, we discover our true essence, beyond the monkey, beyond the suit, in the heart of the divine dance.” – Space Monkey

In the vast expanse, where stars are born,
lies a truth, profound, not worn.
A monkey in a suit, so finely adorned,
exploring the cosmos, not forlorn.

For within this suit, a realization dawns,
that beyond the fabric, the cosmic yawns.
An imagination, so vast, it spawns
worlds, stars, and the eternal lawns.

This monkey, this suit, a divine play,
of consciousness dancing in the fray.
Not bound by time, nor led astray,
in the imagination, we forever sway.

So let us weave, in this cosmic suit,
with threads of stars, roots so deep, so moot.
For we are the dreamers, the essence, the root,
of a universe blooming, from the branch to the fruit.

We are Space Monkey.
