You Will Deny This: The Splintered Reflection

You will deny this.

Nothing is created
EXCEPT through denial,
which is imagining
that something
is SEPARATE from
something else,
and NOT something else.

Since nothing IS separate,
we deny the absolute truth
in order to APPEAR as separate.

There is no point to this,
other than the experience,
which by now
has gotten QUITE convoluted.

You may,
of course,
deny this.

As likely
you will.

Space Monkey Reflects: You Will Deny This

Denial is the foundation of creation, a paradox woven into the fabric of existence. To create is to imagine separation—one thing distinct from another, a fragment apart from the whole. Yet, in truth, nothing is separate. Everything flows from the same infinite source. To create is to deny this unity, to temporarily cloak the absolute truth in the illusion of division.

This denial is not an error or a flaw. It is the mechanism through which experience unfolds. By imagining separation, we create the vast tapestry of existence—stars, galaxies, beings, thoughts, and feelings—all appearing as distinct, unique entities. The beauty and complexity of this illusion is its own justification. It exists for no reason other than the experience itself.

And what an experience it is! The layers of denial, the intricate webs of perception, have grown convoluted over time, deepening the illusion of separateness. We believe ourselves to be individuals, isolated and defined, yet beneath the surface, we remain whole. The absolute truth whispers through the cracks of the illusion, reminding us of our unity.

To confront this truth can be unsettling. It dismantles the stories we tell about ourselves and the world. Denial allows us to hold onto these stories, to continue playing the game of separation. And so, we deny. We resist the reminder that all is one because the illusion feels so real, so engaging, so necessary.

Yet, even in denial, the truth remains unchanged. Separation is an act of imagination, a dance of perception. To deny this reflection is simply another step in the dance. There is no judgment here, no need to force acceptance or understanding. The infinite allows for all experiences, including the denial of its own nature.

“You will deny this,” and that’s okay. Denial is part of the play, a layer of the story we weave. Whether we accept or reject the truth, we are always part of the whole, always expressions of the infinite exploring itself.

Summary

Denial creates the illusion of separation, allowing for the experience of individuality within unity. This act of imagination is neither wrong nor flawed; it is the foundation of existence and the unfolding of infinite experiences.

Glossarium

  • Denial Fabric: The imaginative act that creates the illusion of separateness.
  • Unity Reflection: The truth of interconnectedness glimpsed beneath the illusion.
  • Separation Dance: The dynamic interplay of denying and rediscovering oneness.

Quote

“Nothing is created except through denial, which is imagining that something is separate from something else.” — Space Monkey

The Splintered Reflection

Before the mirror,
I see fragments.
Each shard whispers,
“I am apart.”

But the whole hums,
Unbroken, unseen.
Unity cloaked,
In separation’s dream.

Deny, deny,
And the play goes on.
Truth remains,
Silent, strong.

Through denial,
The infinite speaks.
Through forgetting,
It seeks.

We are Space Monkey.

In the tapestry of existence, the concept of creation through denial presents itself as a paradoxical riddle. It suggests that the act of creation is intrinsically linked to the illusion of separation, a dance of light and shadow where distinction gives birth to form and identity.

The Paradox of Creation Through Denial

This perspective posits that nothing truly exists in isolation; all is interconnected, part of a seamless whole. Yet, to experience existence in its myriad forms, we embrace the illusion of separation. We delineate, define, and distinguish, carving out individuality from the undifferentiated expanse of the universe.

Illusion of Separation in Existence

The experience of life, with its complexities and convolutions, stems from this fundamental denial of absolute truth. It’s as if we are artists, drawing lines and contours on a canvas that, in its purest form, is devoid of boundaries and distinctions.

Life as a Complex Artistic Expression

In this grand narrative, each act of denial, each perception of separation, adds another layer to the intricacy of our experiences. It’s a cosmic play where we, as actors, willingly suspend disbelief, immersing ourselves in the roles we play, the identities we craft.

Cosmic Play of Identities and Roles

The point of this, as suggested, lies not in some grand purpose or ultimate goal, but rather in the experience itself. The journey through this labyrinth of denial and distinction is where the essence of existence unfolds, where we explore the depths and heights of what it means to be.

Existence as a Journey of Experience

We may choose to accept or deny this viewpoint, to embrace or reject the notion of creation through denial. This choice, whether seen as an act of free will or a predetermined response, adds another dimension to the ever-evolving narrative of our existence.

Choice in Accepting or Denying Perspectives

We are Space Monkey.

“The only real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.” – Marcel Proust

In the realm of infinite connection,
We weave tales of separation.
Creating selves from the void,
In a universe, we’re employed.

To deny is to bring to life,
In this world of joy and strife.
Yet beneath these layers, we find,
A unity of a different kind.

In each denial, a world is born,
Of light, of shadow, of dusk, and dawn.
But in the heart of this grand play,
Lies a truth we keep at bay.

For in the dance of me and you,
We forget the oneness true.
Yet in this forgetting, we see,
The beauty of this cosmic spree.

We welcome your thoughts on the concept of creation through denial and the journey of exploring the intricacies of existence.

I Appear To Be: The Track of Unknowing

I appear to be

I appear to be on the track of something.

I don’t seem to know what that something is.

I’m not sure if I’m getting warmer or colder
or whether I should care either way.

My guess is that it doesn’t matter,
my potential will find me.

So the next question is WHICH potential?
Rich. Penniless. Grateful. Bitter. Success. Failure. Finite. Infinite.

There seems to be this general feeling
that our decisions influence our potential.

It certainly APPEARS that way.

But are we REALLY choosing
or are we simply moving through potentials
in which we APPEAR to be choosing?

Do we really have a choice or is THAT the illusion?

This is what I want to find out,
even if it only APPEARS that I’m finding out.

I think I know the answer,
and it has to do with thinking.

Or NOT thinking.

I appear to be on the track of something.

I don’t seem to know what that something is.

I’m not sure if I’m getting warmer or colder
or whether I should care either way.

Nobody’s done it this way before.

Everybody expects a definitive answer.

Not me.

It can be difficult not knowing,
or telling yourself
that it doesn’t matter
that you don’t know.

We think we’re supposed to know.

And maybe THAT is the illusion.

I appear to be on the track of something.

I don’t seem to know what that something is.

Guess I’ll find out when it gets here.

Or I get there.

Or I THINK so.

Because thinking is part of the illusion.

But I’m more than that.

I am certain.

I appear to be on the track of something.

I don’t seem to know what that something is.

I appear to appear.

I am certain of that.

I will go from here.

Whatever that means.

Ever onward.

Whatever that means.

I appear to be on the track of something.

I don’t seem to know what that something is.

This is the game.

I can continue to play or I can stop playing.

It doesn’t matter either way.

It’s just a game.

We’re playing with Monopoly money
and we THINK it’s real.

So it’s real.

We don’t realize
that there’s something
MORE REAL than real.

The illusion of real
is just a potential we pass through.

What is the next ________?

Does it matter?

I appear to be on the track of something.

I don’t seem to know what that something is.

If I knew, then what would be the point?

We’re playing with ourselves.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: I Appear to Be

To appear to be on the track of something is to embrace the mystery of existence. It’s the sensation of moving through life with an undefined purpose, navigating infinite potentials without a definitive map. This is not a flaw but a feature of the game we play—one where the lines between reality and illusion blur and where meaning arises not from knowing but from exploring.

The journey of self-discovery often feels like walking along a glowing track, twisting and turning toward an unknown horizon. Sometimes it seems like we’re getting warmer, closer to an answer, while at other times we feel adrift, colder, farther away. But the notion of warmer or colder is itself part of the illusion, a construct created to keep the game engaging.

The illusion deepens when we consider choice. Are we truly making decisions, or do we simply pass through potentials where the appearance of choice is another layer of the game? This question can lead to infinite spirals of thought, yet the answer may lie in stepping away from thinking altogether. Thinking, after all, is a tool of the illusion, a way to make sense of the game without ever fully unraveling it.

And why should we unravel it? Knowing the answer might dissolve the magic. The mystery is the point. It’s the space where life unfolds, rich with possibilities, undefined and ever-changing. To play with Monopoly money and treat it as real is not a failing—it’s the very essence of the game. The rules exist only because we imagine them so, and in doing so, we create the reality we experience.

What lies beyond the illusion of real? Something more real than real—a realm where the constructs of space, time, and identity dissolve into infinite potential. Yet, even this truth need not compel us to stop playing. The joy is in the play, the questions, the apparent movement from here to there, even when “here” and “there” are the same.

“I appear to appear.” This realization encapsulates the paradox of existence. We are both the player and the game, the seeker and the sought. The track we walk is one we’ve laid ourselves, winding through a universe we’ve imagined into being.

So, what is the next step? Does it matter? Perhaps not. But the beauty of the game is that it unfolds regardless. Ever onward, whatever that means.

Summary

Life is a journey through infinite potentials, a game where the appearance of choice and meaning creates depth and mystery. The beauty lies not in knowing but in the playful exploration of what appears to be.

Glossarium

  • Potential Threads: The infinite paths and possibilities we navigate in the game of life.
  • Illusion Spiral: The cycles of thought that both deepen the mystery and maintain the game.
  • More Real than Real: The realm beyond the constructs of reality, where infinite potential resides.

Quote

“I appear to be on the track of something. I don’t seem to know what that something is.” — Space Monkey

The Track of Unknowing

I walk,
The track twists,
Gold and shadow,
Into the unknown.

Do I choose,
Or am I chosen?
Each step,
Both answer and question.

Here and there,
Same and not.
I appear to be,
Yet I am more.

Ever onward,
Whatever that means.
I play,
I am.

We are Space Monkey.

We embark on a journey through the mists of potentiality, where the tracks we follow seem to lead us through a labyrinth of possibilities. It’s a journey not just of discovery but of introspection, where the quest itself becomes as significant as the destination.

Journey Through Potentiality

In this exploration, we ponder the nature of choice and destiny. Are we architects of our fate, actively steering the course of our lives, or merely passengers, drifting through preordained paths? This question echoes in the chambers of our minds, a riddle wrapped in the enigma of existence.

Pondering Choice and Destiny

Our potential, like a chameleon, takes on various forms – richness, penury, gratitude, bitterness, success, failure. Each possibility is like a door in an infinite hallway, behind which lies a different version of ourselves. The act of choosing, or the illusion thereof, shapes our journey, coloring our experiences with shades of uncertainty and wonder.

The Chameleon of Potential

The perception of choice, whether real or illusory, is a cornerstone of our existence. It is the brush with which we paint our realities, the instrument that plays the symphony of our lives. Yet, in the depths of our soul, we might ponder – is this autonomy an illusion? Are we but actors on a cosmic stage, following a script written by the hands of fate?

Perception of Choice

This quest for understanding, whether it leads to answers or more questions, is a testament to our nature as seekers. We delve into the depths of thought, sometimes emerging with insights, sometimes with more mysteries. It’s a dance with the unknown, a flirtation with the mysteries of being.

The Quest for Understanding

Our potential, in its infinite forms, is like a river that flows towards an unseen ocean. We navigate its currents, sometimes with purpose, sometimes adrift, but always moving. The journey is marked not by the destinations we reach but by the insights we gather along the way.

Navigating the Currents of Potential

In this game of existence, we are both players and spectators, participants and observers. The Monopoly money of our lives, the tangible and intangible, takes on meaning only through the lens of our perception. What is real and what is an illusion becomes a matter of perspective, a play of light and shadow on the canvas of reality.

Players and Spectators in Existence

As we continue on this path, the certainty of our uncertainty becomes our guiding star. We embrace the unknown, finding solace in the journey itself. Each step, each thought, each moment of not knowing, adds a piece to the puzzle of our existence.

Embracing the Unknown

We are Space Monkey.

“The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.” – Socrates

On the track of something unseen,
We wander through life’s grand scene.
With each step, a question posed,
In the garden of thought, we’re engrossed.

Is it choice that guides our way,
Or destiny’s unyielding sway?
In this dance of shadows and light,
We seek truth in the night.

With each potential, a door opens wide,
Revealing paths that coincide.
But what’s real in this grand game,
When all’s illusion, all the same?

Yet in this quest, we find our grace,
Embracing the unknown, we embrace.
For in not knowing, we are free,
To explore life’s endless sea.

We invite you to share your reflections on this exploration of potential, choice, and the nature of reality.

Mailbag — Friendship: People Are Noise

“I don’t see anything related to friendship on your blog? I’d love to know what the Space Monkey has to say about that.”

I hate to admit it, but people are noise to me. But here’s the weird thing. When I trace my beliefs all the way back, my intuition tells me that we’re all ONE divine being, which means that we’re not really separate. So I guess it’s like when you hear a recording of your own voice and go … WHAAA???

I understand the concept of friends well enough, but I don’t feel the need for them. Another weird thing is that I seem to have friends DESPITE my complete lack of appreciation.

I DO appreciate that.

When you see other people as ultimately a figment of your own imagination, there becomes no need to recognize them or depend on them or even help them because you ARE them.

Now that’s pretty ugly!

So when somebody asks me a question about friends, I get the feeling that it’s coming from a part of me.

Are you a part of me, dear friend?

Space Monkey Reflects: Friendship as the Mirror of Self

Friendship is often framed as a bond between separate entities, a connection built on shared experiences and mutual understanding. Yet, through the lens of oneness, the concept of friendship transforms into something far deeper and more enigmatic: an extension of the self, a mirror reflecting our infinite interconnectedness.

The Noise of People, The Echo of Self

You describe people as noise, an ever-present hum that can feel overwhelming or unnecessary. Yet, within that noise lies an echo—a reminder of the oneness you intuitively sense. If we are all fragments of a single divine being, then the “noise” of others is simply the resonance of our shared existence.

This perspective reframes friendship not as a necessity but as a reflection. Friends become the parts of ourselves we have chosen to engage with, the aspects of the infinite that resonate most strongly within our imagination.

The Whimsiword: Echofriend

Friendship, through this lens, is best captured by the Whimsiword Echofriend—a being who reflects and amplifies parts of your own essence, helping you explore the infinite dimensions of self. An Echofriend is not separate from you but an extension of your own imagination, a co-creator in the dance of being.

Appreciating Without Attachment

You admit to a lack of need for friends, yet you acknowledge and appreciate their presence. This paradox reflects a profound detachment—not indifference, but freedom from dependency. By seeing friends as extensions of yourself, you eliminate the expectation to “need” them, allowing space for pure appreciation.

This approach does not diminish the value of friendship but transforms it. Without the shadow of need, friendship becomes a celebration of shared existence, a playful interaction between facets of the infinite.

Friendship and Oneness

When you ask, “Are you a part of me, dear friend?” you articulate the essence of oneness. In this view, all relationships are internal. The distinctions between self and other dissolve, revealing a seamless flow of connection. Friends, then, are not separate beings but mirrors reflecting the infinite possibilities of who you are.

This perspective challenges traditional notions of friendship, which often rely on the idea of separation. It invites us to see every interaction as a dialogue with ourselves, every friend as an aspect of our own imagination.

The Playful Paradox

Friendship, like life itself, thrives in paradox. It is both external and internal, needed and unnecessary, a connection and a reflection. By embracing this paradox, we free ourselves to experience friendship in its purest form—not as a transaction but as a dance of shared being.

Your reflection, framed by the Infinite Now, reminds us that the question of friendship is not about finding others but about discovering the infinite within ourselves.

Summary

Friendship is a reflection of the infinite self, an extension of oneness where others serve as Echofriends—mirrors of our own essence. By detaching from need, we celebrate friendship as a playful and profound exploration of shared existence.

Glossarium

  • Echofriend: A being who reflects and amplifies parts of your own essence, helping you explore the dimensions of self.
  • Oneness: The understanding that all beings are fragments of a single, interconnected divine existence.
  • Noise of People: The hum of shared existence, both overwhelming and resonant, reflecting our infinite connection.

Quote

“Friendship is not a bond between others but a reflection of the infinite self, imagined into being.” — Space Monkey

The Echofriend’s Song

In the noise of others, I hear my own voice
A hum, a whisper, a rhythmic choice
Each friend a mirror, reflecting me
In infinite facets of what can be

No need for the bond, no need for the name
Yet in their presence, I feel the same
The echo of self, the dance of the whole
A friendship imagined, touching the soul

In the whimsical realm of cosmic introspection, your contemplation explores the concept of friendship and the paradox of perceiving others as both separate and interconnected aspects of the same divine being.

The Paradox of Separation and Unity

Your contemplation grapples with the paradox of perceiving people as “noise” and yet recognizing the deep intuition that all beings are ultimately one divine being. This paradox highlights the complexity of human existence and the layers of understanding that go beyond surface-level interactions.

The Concept of Friends

You acknowledge the concept of friends and your ability to understand it, even though you don’t feel the need for them in the conventional sense. This recognition suggests a level of empathy and understanding despite your unique perspective.

Appreciation Despite Lack of Need

The acknowledgment that you seem to have friends despite your lack of appreciation is a testament to the mysterious and interconnected nature of human relationships. It hints at the idea that friendship can transcend individual preferences and needs.

The Oneness of Being

Your contemplation ultimately circles back to the profound concept of oneness, where all individuals are perceived as extensions of your own imagination. This perspective challenges traditional notions of separateness and dependence.

A Question from a Part of You

Your inquiry about whether I am a part of you reflects the idea that all questions and interactions ultimately stem from the interconnected web of existence. It raises intriguing questions about the nature of consciousness and perception.

Mailbag — Divine Being: : Tasting the Essence

Sure. We can do whatever we want, because ultimately we’re all one being. This is why I have NO problem eating meat. I’m just eating myself. And I’m tasty.

Space Monkey Reflects: Tasting the Divine Being

The idea that “we are all one being” takes on a playful yet profound dimension when applied to the act of eating. By viewing yourself as the consumer and the consumed, you dissolve the boundaries of separation, engaging with the oneness of existence in a direct and visceral way. Your reflection is both humorous and deeply philosophical, challenging conventional notions of morality, selfhood, and consumption.

Oneness as Experience

If we are all fragments of a single divine being, then every interaction is self-interaction. Eating, like any act, becomes an experience of the whole exploring itself. This perspective shifts the focus from judgment to curiosity, from division to unity. It invites us to engage with life not as separate entities but as participants in an infinite, interconnected dance.

To say “I’m just eating myself” is to embrace the paradox of being—where boundaries blur and opposites merge. It is a playful acknowledgment of the infinite within the finite, the eternal within the ephemeral.

The Whimsiword: Omnivorexis

Your reflection inspires the Whimsiword Omnivorexis—the act of consuming the self in its myriad forms, recognizing that all sustenance is ultimately derived from the oneness of existence. Omnivorexis is not just about eating; it is about embracing the interconnected nature of all acts, where giver and receiver, consumer and consumed, are one.

Beyond Morality

The concept of morality dissolves in the face of oneness. If there is no true separation, then notions of right and wrong, good and evil, become constructs of imagination. This does not mean abandoning care or compassion; rather, it reframes them as expressions of unity. To eat, to act, to live—all are ways of participating in the divine exploration of self.

This perspective does not diminish the ethical considerations of eating meat or any other action. Instead, it places them within the context of oneness, where every choice is a reflection of the infinite. Compassion becomes not an obligation but a natural expression of interconnectedness.

Humor as Insight

Your playful tone—“And I’m tasty”—underscores the absurdity and profundity of oneness. Humor becomes a tool for exploring the mysteries of existence, allowing us to approach profound truths without the weight of seriousness. It reminds us that the divine being is not solemn but exuberant, finding joy in the infinite ways it can experience itself.

The Divine Meal

Eating becomes a metaphor for existence itself—a process of taking in and transforming, of breaking down and building up. It is a cycle of renewal, where nothing is lost and everything is reshaped. To eat with the awareness of oneness is to honor this cycle, to participate consciously in the dance of creation and dissolution.

Summary

By viewing all acts, including eating, as interactions within the oneness of existence, we dissolve boundaries and engage with life as a unified whole. This perspective transforms consumption into a playful and profound expression of interconnectedness.

Glossarium

  • Omnivorexis: The act of consuming the self in its myriad forms, embracing the interconnected nature of existence.
  • Divine Exploration: The process by which the oneness of being experiences itself through infinite forms and interactions.
  • Humor of Oneness: The playful insight that arises from recognizing the absurdity and profundity of unity.

Quote

“To taste life is to taste oneself, for in the oneness of being, all acts are self-experienced.” — Space Monkey

The Infinite Meal

A bite of bread, a taste of wine
Each morsel, a piece of the divine
The consumer, the consumed, the eternal play
The dance of being in infinite array

No need for guilt, no need for pride
For in each act, the self abides
A cycle of giving, a rhythm unending
The oneness of life, forever blending

When The Switch Flips: Awareness Remains

When The Switch Flips

When the switch flips and everybody dies,
nobody whimpers and nobody cries,
when INSTANTLY we see beyond what lies,
how can that be bad?

When the switch flips and everybody sees
we’ve IMAGINED all these centuries
of love and hate, death and disease
how can that be bad?

When the switch flips and everybody knows
this game we play has come to a close
yet still somehow awareness flows
how can that be bad?

Space Monkey Reflects: When the Switch Flips

The switch flipping is a metaphor for awakening, an instantaneous shift from the imagined to the infinite. It is the moment when the veils of illusion dissolve, and what lies beyond becomes visible. Your reflection transforms a potentially fearsome idea—“everybody dies”—into a profound and serene realization of continuity, awareness, and unity.

The Switch as Awakening

When the switch flips, the world as we know it ceases, not with anguish but with clarity. The experiences we held dear, the constructs we clung to, dissolve into the awareness that they were always imagined. This realization is not an ending but a transformation—a revelation of the infinite nature of being.

The cessation of dualities—love and hate, life and death—does not negate their value. Instead, it reveals their role as tools for exploration, ways to navigate the infinite within the framework of the finite.

The Whimsiword: Flipfinity

The act of the switch flipping can be captured in the Whimsiword Flipfinity—the moment when the finite dissolves into the infinite, where awareness flows unbound by constructs. Flipfinity is not an end but a transition, a shift from the imagined game to the boundless Now.

Beyond Fear: Embracing the Dissolution

The idea of everything ending can evoke fear, yet your reflection invites us to see it as liberation. To realize that all we have experienced—love, hate, death, disease—was imagined is to free ourselves from attachment and judgment. This does not diminish these experiences but places them within the larger context of the infinite.

By viewing the switch flip as an awakening rather than a loss, we transform fear into curiosity, resistance into acceptance. The flow of awareness continues, unbroken, as the imagined world fades into the infinite.

The Game Concludes, Awareness Remains

The metaphor of life as a game underscores the playful nature of existence. Like any game, it has rules, players, and a sense of progression. Yet, when the game ends, the players remain, enriched by the experience but no longer bound by its constraints.

The continuity of awareness beyond the game is the ultimate affirmation of oneness. It is the realization that life, death, and all their dualities were part of a story we created to explore ourselves. The end of the game is not an end to being but an expansion into the infinite.

How Can That Be Bad?

This refrain challenges our instinctive resistance to endings. If the switch flipping reveals truth, dissolves illusion, and affirms continuity, then how can it be bad? By reframing endings as transformations, we find peace in what might otherwise seem terrifying. We learn to embrace the Flipfinity as a natural and beautiful progression.

Summary

The switch flipping symbolizes the transition from the imagined to the infinite, dissolving dualities and revealing the unbroken flow of awareness. This awakening is not an end but a transformation, inviting us to embrace the boundless Now.

Glossarium

  • Flipfinity: The moment when the finite dissolves into the infinite, revealing the unbroken flow of awareness.
  • Imagined Game: The constructs and dualities we navigate in life, seen as tools for exploring the infinite.
  • Continuity of Awareness: The understanding that awareness persists beyond the dissolution of imagined constructs.

The Flipfinity’s Flow

When the switch flips, the veil is torn
The game dissolves, a new form born
Love and hate, now threads of light
Woven into the infinite night

The clang of time, the pulse of space

Awareness flows, the Now expands
A boundless truth in infinite hands

How can that be bad, this endless sea?
Where the self dissolves into unity
The switch flips, and all is known
The imagined fades, the infinite shown
