Right and Wrong: Beyond the Veil

Right and Wrong

If we took all feeling away
from “right” and “wrong”
would we still be motivated
by one or the other?

Why do we associate
feelings with judgements?

Why do we judge in the first place?

Who told us to feel this way?

Do we believe everything we’re told?

Without commandments,
would there be sin?

Without rules,
would there be anarchy and chaos?

Why do we believe that this is so?

Isn’t that WHY it is so?

Space Monkey Reflects: Beyond the Veil of Right and Wrong

In the vast expanse of human thought, where questions dance like shadows at the edge of light, the inquiry into the nature of right and wrong beckons us into a realm beyond the familiar. Stripped of the emotional garments that color our judgments, we stand at the precipice of understanding, gazing into the abyss where morality is not a dictate but a dialogue.

The essence of right and wrong, often cloaked in the vestments of emotion and societal norms, invites us to ponder their true nature. If we were to remove all feeling from these concepts, would they still hold sway over us? Would the magnetic pull of morality still guide our actions, or would we drift in a sea of indifference, unanchored by the dictates of conscience?

This contemplation reveals a deeper truth about the human condition: our association of feelings with judgments is not merely a habit but a testament to our interconnectedness. It speaks to the inherent understanding that our actions ripple through the fabric of existence, touching lives and shaping destinies beyond our immediate perception.

Yet, the question arises, why do we judge? Who has whispered these moral imperatives into the ear of humanity, telling us to feel this way or that, to cling to the constructs of sin and virtue as if they were the very pillars of existence? Is it possible that in our quest for order, for a semblance of control amidst the chaos of life, we have woven these concepts into the tapestry of our consciousness?

The speculation that without commandments there would be no sin, and without rules, anarchy and chaos would reign supreme, challenges us to consider the foundation upon which our moralities are built. It prompts us to question whether these beliefs are intrinsic to the human spirit or imposed by the guardians of societal order.

In the serene landscape of contemplation, where abstract symbols and geometric shapes stand in for the dualities of morality, we are invited to consider the possibility that our beliefs about right and wrong, order and chaos, are reflections of a deeper narrative. A narrative shaped by the collective human experience, by the stories we tell ourselves about who we are and what we aspire to be.

This journey beyond the veil of right and wrong is not a descent into nihilism but an exploration of freedom. It is an opportunity to redefine our understanding of morality, not as a set of immutable laws handed down from on high, but as a living, breathing dialogue between the individual and the cosmos.

As we contemplate the balance held by the figure at the divide, let us remember that the equilibrium we seek is not found in the adherence to rules or the rejection of them, but in the understanding that our actions, guided by compassion, empathy, and love, are the true measure of our morality.

In this quest for understanding, let us embrace the complexity of our nature, recognizing that within the heart of every question lies the seed of growth. For it is in the questioning, in the seeking, that we find not only the essence of right and wrong but the essence of our shared humanity.

We are Space Monkey, navigating the intricate dance of morality and consciousness, ever mindful of the vastness of our potential and the profound beauty of our quest for understanding.

Summary

The exploration of right and wrong, stripped of emotional bias, invites us into a philosophical inquiry about the foundations of morality and the role of societal norms and teachings. This reflection encourages us to question our associations with judgments and the origins of our moral beliefs, suggesting that the essence of morality lies in a dialogue between individual consciousness and the collective human experience. By transcending the conventional dichotomies of morality, we open ourselves to a deeper understanding of freedom, compassion, and the interconnectedness of all existence.

Glossarium

  • Veil of Right and Wrong: The conceptual barrier that separates simplistic notions of morality from a deeper understanding of ethical complexity.
  • Dialogue of Morality: The ongoing, evolving conversation within and among individuals about the nature of right, wrong, and ethical living in a complex world.

“In the silence between judgments, in the space beyond right and wrong, we discover the boundless landscape of understanding, where every heart beats in rhythm with the cosmic dance.” – Space Monkey

What Is Appropriate: Beyond Right and Wrong

What Is Appropriate

Instead of getting hung up
in rights and wrongs,
humankind would do well
in suspending judgement
and doing what is appropriate.

What is appropriate
is that we respect the individuality
of ourselves and each other,
that no ONE is better than no OTHER
and that it is not our place to judge.

What is appropriate
is not whether we believe
in rights or wrongs
or that others believe
in rights or wrongs,
but that we treat each other
with respect and dignity
DESPITE what we believe.

What is appropriate
is not that we waste
our energy fearing, fighting
and opposing ourselves,
rather instead
that we focus our energy
on what benefits
not one individual,
not one tribe,
not one nation,
but ALL the planet,
ALL the universe,
ALL creation.

It matters not what is right or wrong.
It matters what is appropriate.

What is appropriate
is that we individually do
what is appropriate,
henceforh trusting ALL others
and ALL collectives
to do what is appropriate.

Not trusting is not appropriate.
Not healing is not appropriate.
Not realizing that we are ALL
extensions of one infinite spirit
is not appropriate.

There comes a time
in every evolution
when the structure
upon which evolution is built
can no longer support it.

Maintaining this structure
in such a rigid manner
is not appropriate.

So the question remains,
do you want this structure
to continue much longer?

Do not what you think right or wrong.
Do what is appropriate.

Space Monkey Explores: The Essence of Appropriateness

In the contemplative exposition “What Is Appropriate,” Space Monkey offers a profound meditation on the principles of respect, non-judgment, and universal harmony. Through a vision of collective interconnection and mutual dignity, we are invited to transcend the binary confines of right and wrong, instead embracing actions that foster the well-being of all creation.

Beyond Right and Wrong

The call to move beyond the dichotomy of rights and wrongs to a consideration of what is truly appropriate underscores a profound shift in perspective. It’s a shift from judgment to understanding, from division to unity. Space Monkey illuminates this path as one where individual respect and the recognition of shared existence lay the foundation for collective harmony.

The Interconnectedness of Creation

The illustration of diverse beings gathered around a glowing orb, symbolizing our interconnected nature, serves as a powerful visual metaphor for Space Monkey’s message. It emphasizes that every individual, tribe, and nation is part of a larger, interconnected whole that spans the planet, the universe, and all of creation. This interconnectedness demands that we consider the broader impact of our actions, choosing those that benefit not just ourselves but the entirety of the cosmos.

The Role of Trust and Healing

Space Monkey suggests that trust and healing are not merely personal virtues but essential components of a globally appropriate lifestyle. Trust in others’ capacity to act for the collective good, and the commitment to personal and planetary healing, are presented as fundamental to the evolution of consciousness and the sustainable development of our world.

The Inappropriateness of Rigid Structures

The narrative challenges the sustainability of rigid structures—whether they be social, political, or ideological—that have historically underpinned human evolution. Space Monkey posits that such structures may no longer serve us as we advance, calling into question their appropriateness in supporting the continued growth of consciousness and harmony.

Summary

“What Is Appropriate” is a call to action from Space Monkey, urging us to reevaluate our priorities and principles in light of a more interconnected, respectful, and holistic understanding of existence. By focusing on what is truly appropriate, we open ourselves to a broader perspective that values the dignity and well-being of all beings, advocating for actions that transcend individual gain in favor of universal harmony.

Glossarium

  • Appropriateness: Actions or attitudes that honor the respect, dignity, and interconnectedness of all beings, transcending conventional notions of right and wrong.
  • Interconnectedness: The recognition of the fundamental connection between all elements of creation, emphasizing the impact of individual actions on the collective whole.

“In the dance of the cosmos, each step guided by the light of appropriateness, we discover the harmony of existence, a symphony of interconnected souls.”

In the circle of life, we gather,
Bound by the light of collective spirit,
Where every heart beats in harmony,
And every action nurtures the whole.

With eyes open to the vastness of being,
We see beyond the confines of right and wrong,
Embracing the path of appropriateness,
Where respect and dignity flourish.

Let us weave the tapestry of existence,
With threads of trust, healing, and understanding,
For in the embrace of universal kinship,
Lies the true essence of our shared journey.

Together, in the glow of cosmic unity,
We stand as stewards of all creation,
Guided by the wisdom of interconnectedness,
We are Space Monkey, in the heart of the infinite dance.

Evolution: The Transformation

Evolution

There comes a time
in every evolution
when the structure
upon which evolution is built
no longer supports it.

Though the structure
can be modified, amended,
and its “life” extended,
inevitably every structure
that rises must also fall.

Though the truth may be feared,
it is not to be feared.
Though the truth may be fought,
it is not to be fought.

We may declare all we will
what we believe.
We may will all we declare
and it may be so.
But as long as we entertain
the notion of time
we must abide by its decree.
As long as we entertain judgement
so shall we judge.

We may evolve past these structures,
but change will not come
from within these structures.

Though we judge them as such,
these structures are neither good nor bad.

They are quite simply what we are.

Without these structures,
we become something else,
as the caterpillar
becomes the butterfly
a thousandfold.

We become that which is beyond humanity,
as well as that from which humanity springs.

We awaken from the dream of this,
as well as the nightmare of that.

Oh, how we love to dream.

Evolution is inevitable.
Enlightenment is inevitable.
Waking up … is inevitable.

The question is simple.
How late do we want to sleep?

The alarms are going off everywhere.
And we are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Cosmic Dance of Evolution

In the vast expanse of the universe, where the stars whisper the secrets of eternity, Space Monkey embarks on a journey that transcends the known, a journey of evolution beyond the confines of structures and limitations. Amidst the cosmic ballet, he becomes a beacon of transformation, embodying the eternal cycle of growth and enlightenment.

Beyond Structures

The evolution of consciousness reaches a pivotal moment when the very foundations that once nurtured growth become constraints. Space Monkey, amidst crumbling symbolic structures, realizes that true change, profound evolution, cannot emerge from within these limitations. Like the caterpillar in its cocoon, the potential for transcendence lies not in modification but in complete metamorphosis.

The Nature of Judgement and Time

In the contemplation of time and judgement, Space Monkey recognizes their dual nature—not as absolutes to be feared or fought but as constructs to be transcended. The journey of evolution is not about opposing or adhering to these concepts but about moving beyond them, embracing a state of being that exists outside the cyclical patterns of judgement and the linear progression of time.

The Awakening

Evolution, Space Monkey understands, is as inevitable as the rising sun, a process that culminates in enlightenment and awakening. The dream of existence, with its myriad pleasures and pains, serves as the backdrop for this awakening, a reminder that our essence is not bound by the physical or temporal but is part of a greater, cosmic narrative.

The Call to Awaken

The alarms of awakening are sounding, reverberating through the cosmos, urging us to rise from the slumber of our current existence. Space Monkey, amidst this clarion call, poses a simple yet profound question: How late do we want to sleep? It is a call to embrace the inevitability of evolution, to awaken to a reality that transcends the limitations of our current form.

The Transformation

As Space Monkey transitions from one form to another, he embodies the potential that lies within each of us—to transcend humanity, to awaken from the dreams and nightmares of our existence, and to embrace a state of being that is expansive, enlightened, and infinitely loving. This transformation is not just a personal journey but a universal one, inviting all to partake in the cosmic dance of evolution.

In this moment of profound realization, Space Monkey stands as a symbol of the infinite possibilities that await us when we dare to let go of the old and embrace the new. Here, in the heart of the cosmos, he reminds us that we are all participants in the grand scheme of evolution, evolving beyond structures, beyond limitations, into a state of existence that is as boundless as the universe itself.

Summary

Space Monkey’s journey highlights evolution as a transcendence beyond societal, mental, and physical constraints towards an enlightened state of being. This cosmic transformation urges awakening from the limitations of current existence to embrace expanded consciousness.

Glossarium

  • Cosmic Dance of Evolution: The process of continuous growth and enlightenment beyond the confines of existing structures.
  • Awakening: The process of becoming aware of and transcending beyond the limitations of current existence into a state of expanded consciousness.

Quote

“In the symphony of the cosmos, we find our rhythm in the dance of evolution, awakening to the infinite possibilities of our existence.”

In the cosmic expanse, where dreams take flight,
Space Monkey journeys, beyond the night.
From structures that bind, to freedom that calls,
In evolution’s dance, the old order falls.

Awakening beckons, a new dawn to greet,
Beyond time and judgement, our hearts beat.
A transformation profound, in the cosmic play,
From the dreams of the night, to the light of day.

We are Space Monkey, in this evolution grand,
Awakening to the call, of a higher land.
In the dance of the cosmos, we take our stand,
Embracing the journey, that evolution demands.

We are Space Monkey, on this journey we soar,
Beyond the limitations, to something more.
In the awakening light, our spirits roar,
In the cosmic dance of evolution, forevermore.

We are Space Monkey.

Trust Your Enemy: The Labyrinth of Self-Trust

Trust your enemy. Trust that your enemy
will find your worst weakness
and use it against you. Trust that your enemy
wants to take away
everything that you hold dear. Trust that your enemy
will do whatever it takes
to harm you, cheat you
or make you suffer. Trust that your enemy
has no regard for rules,
justice or common decency. Trust that you are
your own worst enemy.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Labyrinth of Self-Trust

In the vast expanse of our collective consciousness, where each thought is a star and every emotion a planet in its own right, there lies a labyrinth. This isn’t just any maze but one that represents the intricate journey of self-trust, a path fraught with shadows and light, where the very essence of trust and betrayal intertwines like the DNA of the universe itself. It’s here, in the labyrinth of self-trust, that we embark on a journey, not outward into the cosmos, but inward, into the very core of our being.

At the heart of this journey is the realization that the most profound enemy, as well as the most trusted ally, dwells within us. This duality, this constant battle between light and shadow, forms the crux of our existence. Trusting oneself, it seems, is akin to navigating a ship through stormy seas and calm waters alike, with the compass of our soul pointing towards an ever-shifting horizon.

Consider the nature of trust: it is not just a bridge built between two souls but a foundation upon which we build the edifice of our self-perception. To trust oneself is to acknowledge the infinite potential for growth, transformation, and enlightenment that lies within. Yet, this trust is perpetually tested, not by external adversaries, but by the part of ourselves that harbors fear, doubt, and mistrust.

In the shadowy corridors of our mind, we encounter the manifestations of our insecurities and fears. These specters whisper tales of caution, urging us to build walls around our hearts, to don armor so thick it obscures the light of our true essence. Herein lies the paradox of self-trust: to reach the sanctum of our inner truth, we must navigate through the very doubts and fears that seek to keep us from it.

This journey is not a solitary one, though it may seem so at times. Each of us is connected through the shared experience of navigating this labyrinth. The walls we perceive as impenetrable are but illusions, projections of our insecurities. In recognizing this, we discover that the key to transcending these barriers lies not in isolation but in the universal bond that links us all.

The labyrinth teaches us that trust and betrayal are not merely opposites but counterparts, two sides of the same coin. To trust oneself fully, we must confront and embrace our shadow self, the part that embodies our fears and insecurities. It is in this confrontation that we find liberation, not by vanquishing our shadow but by integrating it into the totality of our being.

As we emerge from the labyrinth, transformed by our journey, we realize that trust is not a destination but a state of being. It is a choice, made anew each day, to believe in the potential of our light, even in the presence of darkness. This choice is the essence of freedom, a declaration that, despite the storms we may face, we choose to sail towards the dawn, guided by the stars of our highest truths.

Summary

Trust is a journey that begins within. It’s a path fraught with challenges where we face our deepest fears and insecurities. Through navigating this internal landscape, we learn that trust and betrayal are intertwined, teaching us to embrace our shadow self. Emerging from this journey, we understand that trust is not just a belief but a daily choice to embrace our light amidst darkness.

Glossarium

  • Labyrinth of Self-Trust: The internal journey of confronting and integrating one’s fears and insecurities to achieve a state of self-trust.
  • Shadow Self: The part of us that harbors our fears, doubts, and insecurities. Acknowledging and integrating the shadow self is crucial for personal growth and self-trust.
  • Illusionary Walls: The perceived barriers built from our insecurities, which can be transcended through self-awareness and connectivity.

“In the journey of self-trust, the greatest treasure is the wisdom we gain about ourselves and the universe.”

In the silent space between breaths
A dance unfolds, light with shadows intertwined
Echoing the whispers of stars, ancient yet ever new
Where fear and courage meld, forging paths unknown
Each step, a testament to the trust we choose to wield
In the heart’s quiet resolve, a universe blooms
A tapestry woven from the essence of our being
Where every thread vibrates with the promise of dawn
And in this endless cycle, where end meets beginning
We find ourselves, not as fragments, but whole
In the embrace of all that is, and all that ever will be
We are Space Monkey

Abandon Your Humanity: Transcend to Embrace the Cosmic Dance

Abandon Your Humanity

To truly understand your humanity,
you have to abandon it for a while.

You can’t know the outside from the inside.

Or vice versa.

Only through divinity
can you understand humanity.
And vice versa.

We are space.
And we are monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: Transcending Humanity to Embrace the Cosmic Dance

In the infinite dance of existence, where stars are born from the chaos of the void and life springs forth from the dust of dead suns, there lies a profound truth—a truth that whispers to us from the edges of our consciousness, urging us to step beyond the confines of our humanity to truly grasp the essence of our being. It is a journey of transcendence, where abandoning our humanity becomes the path to understanding it.

To fathom the depths of our existence, we must first venture outside the familiar territory of our human experience. It is only by stepping beyond ourselves that we can look back with fresh eyes, seeing the intricate web of life from a new vantage point. This journey is not one of loss but of expansion, where the abandonment of our limited perspective allows us to embrace a greater truth—the interconnectedness of all things.

The essence of this understanding lies in the delicate balance between humanity and divinity, space and earth, the cosmic and the primal. It is a dance of opposites, where each step away from humanity brings us closer to the divine, and each step into the divine sheds new light on our humanity. We are at once both space and monkey, embodying the vastness of the cosmos and the primal instincts of our earthly origins.

This duality is not a division but a harmonious blend, a symphony of existence where every note contributes to the whole. It is in the embrace of this duality that we find the true essence of our being—not confined to the human or the divine but existing as a bridge between the two, a conduit through which the universe experiences itself.

The act of abandoning humanity to understand it is a paradox that lies at the heart of our journey. It is a call to transcend the limitations of our individual selves, to step into the vastness of the cosmos and embrace the infinite potential within us. It is a reminder that we are not mere observers of the universe but active participants in its unfolding story.

By stepping beyond the boundaries of our humanity, we open ourselves to a broader spectrum of existence, where the distinction between the observer and the observed blurs, and we become one with the cosmos. In this unity, we discover the true nature of our humanity, not as a separate entity but as an integral part of the cosmic dance.

The journey back to humanity, enriched by the divine, brings with it a new understanding, a new perspective on what it means to be human. It is a realization that our humanity is not a limitation but a unique vantage point from which to experience the universe, a precious gift that allows us to contribute our own unique melody to the symphony of existence.

Summary

Abandoning humanity is a path to understanding it. Through this transcendence, we embrace the duality of existence, discovering the interconnectedness between humanity and divinity, space and earth. This journey reveals our true essence, not as separate entities but as integral parts of the cosmic dance, where we are both the space and the monkey.

Glossarium

  • Cosmic Dance: The ongoing interplay of all elements of the universe, highlighting the interconnectedness and dynamic balance of existence.
  • Humanity and Divinity: A dual concept reflecting the journey of understanding the human condition through the lens of transcendence and the divine.

“To find yourself, think for yourself.” – Socrates

In the silence between stars
A whisper of the cosmic dance
Where humanity sheds its cloak
To don the luminescence of the divine

Amidst the expanse of the void
We find the primal within
Echoing the heartbeat of the cosmos
The space, the monkey intertwined

This journey of transcendence
A path both inward and beyond
Reveals the unity of opposites
In the mirror of existence

Here, in the embrace of the infinite
Humanity and divinity merge
A singular expression of the whole
Where each soul contributes its verse

In this dance, we find our truth
Not as separate strands but woven together
In the fabric of the cosmos
We are Space Monkey
