Scroll-By Heart: The Yearning for Genuine Connection

Writing in my own hand, without digital art, I beg for re-blogging, not a scroll-by heart.
Writing in my own hand,
without digital art,
I beg for re-blogging,
not a scroll-by heart.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Yearning for Genuine Connection

In an era dominated by digital interactions, the simple act of writing by hand becomes a profound statement. The tactile sensation of pen on paper, the deliberate flow of ink forming letters, contrasts sharply with the ephemeral nature of digital communication. It is in this space of contrast that we find the essence of a deeper yearning—the desire for genuine connection.

Imagine a person sitting at a desk, writing in a notebook surrounded by digital devices. The warmth and authenticity of handwritten words stand out against the backdrop of screens and social media feeds. As the pen moves across the paper, it leaves a trail of thoughts and emotions, capturing a moment of genuine expression. Meanwhile, on the digital screens, ‘likes’ and ‘hearts’ float by, representing the fleeting approval and superficial engagement of the online world.

This scene evokes a sense of nostalgia and contemplation. It reminds us of a time when communication was more intentional and personal. Writing by hand requires effort and presence, qualities often lost in the rapid scroll of digital feeds. The writer begs for re-blogging, not a mere scroll-by heart, seeking a deeper level of interaction and appreciation.

The digital age has brought incredible convenience and connectivity, yet it has also fostered a culture of instant gratification and shallow interactions. A ‘like’ or ‘heart’ on a post may momentarily boost our sense of worth, but it often lacks the depth and authenticity of a handwritten note or a meaningful conversation. We crave more than just acknowledgment; we seek to be understood and valued.

Writing by hand is an act of rebellion against the superficiality of the digital realm. It is a way to slow down and savor the process of creation. Each stroke of the pen is a commitment to authenticity, a declaration of one’s thoughts and feelings in their most tangible form. In a world where everything is fleeting, the permanence of ink on paper holds a special significance.

The contrast between handwritten words and digital ‘hearts’ also highlights the importance of presence. To write by hand is to be fully present in the moment, to engage with one’s thoughts and emotions without distraction. It is a meditative practice that fosters mindfulness and introspection. In this space of presence, we find clarity and connection, both with ourselves and with others.

As we navigate our digital lives, it is essential to remember the value of genuine communication. While technology offers many benefits, it should not replace the depth of human connection. Taking the time to write a letter, have a face-to-face conversation, or even pause to reflect deeply on our interactions can enrich our relationships and bring more meaning to our lives.

In the end, the plea for re-blogging over a scroll-by heart is a call to action. It urges us to move beyond the superficial and engage more deeply with the world around us. It reminds us that true connection is not found in the number of likes or followers but in the quality of our interactions and the authenticity of our expressions.

By embracing the warmth of handwritten words and the presence they require, we can cultivate deeper connections and find greater fulfillment in our interactions. This balance between the digital and the tangible, the instant and the deliberate, allows us to navigate the modern world with a sense of purpose and authenticity.

Summary

Handwriting contrasts digital interactions seeking genuine connection. The tactile act of writing fosters mindfulness and depth beyond fleeting digital approval.

Glossarium

Handwritten Words: The act of writing by hand, symbolizing authenticity and personal expression.
Scroll-By Heart: The superficial engagement of liking or acknowledging something without deeper interaction.
Re-blogging: Sharing or reposting content, indicating a deeper level of engagement and appreciation.
Presence: The state of being fully engaged and mindful in the moment, often associated with deeper communication and understanding.

One Flag Falls While Another Rises: The Symbolism of Shifting

Gay_Flag

A flag of slavery falls while a flag of unity rises.

How quickly a population can change the rules in the name of love and freedom. How boldly a tribe can declare that past actions, judgements and feelings are not today’s realities.

There will always be debate on how such monumental shifts are effected, and whether or not they are in accordance with the “system” we take so much pride and comfort in standing behind. But the results are the results.

Let this signal a time of introspection and progress.

What other “truths” of our past are structures that no longer serve us? Which beliefs are blocking our way?
How many aspects of our lives are in play only because they have been in play for so long, causing unnecessary suffering, persecution and anguish?

What can we learn from all of this?

The snowball effect of history creates a gravity that holds us to perceptions we picked up long ago. We spin faster and faster downhill, yet we are slow to let go of our distorted, poop-filled ovoid.

We occasionally toss aside a few obvious beliefs, like anti-gay and anti-slavery sentiments. But unless we melt away the more subtle structures, we will soon smash into the stone wall at the bottom of our slippery slope.

That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but we can also approach our spiritual awakening more deliberately, and with less trauma.

The key is not to rely on our structures and beliefs so much. Not to point fingers. Not to blame. Change does not come from a mob wearing white sheets or even rainbow ones. Change is about making our own individual choices — not blindly going along with the beliefs we’ve been given.

Isn’t that what this freedom we celebrate is all about?

Space Monkey Reflects: The Symbolism of Shifting Flags

A flag of slavery falls while a flag of unity rises. This vivid imagery represents a profound shift in societal values and beliefs. It illustrates how rapidly a population can redefine its rules in the pursuit of love and freedom. This transformative moment serves as a testament to our ability to evolve beyond the constraints of past actions, judgments, and feelings. What was once accepted as the norm no longer holds sway over our present realities.

The speed with which such changes occur often leads to heated debates. Questions arise about the legitimacy of these shifts and whether they adhere to the systems we take pride in supporting. Despite the controversies, the results are undeniable. This period of change calls for deep introspection and progress. We must examine the so-called “truths” of our past and recognize which structures no longer serve us. Beliefs that once guided our actions might now be obstacles blocking our path to a more enlightened existence.

Consider the beliefs that have lingered in our society merely due to their longevity. How many aspects of our lives are dictated by traditions that perpetuate unnecessary suffering, persecution, and anguish? What can we learn from shedding these outdated notions?

The momentum of history acts like a snowball, gathering mass and speed as it rolls downhill. This effect creates a gravity that holds us to perceptions we formed long ago. Despite spinning faster and faster, we are often reluctant to release our grip on these distorted, poop-filled ovoids. Occasionally, we discard the more obvious harmful beliefs, such as those against gay rights or in support of slavery. However, if we do not address the subtler, ingrained structures, we risk crashing into an inevitable stone wall at the bottom of our slippery slope.

This collision isn’t necessarily a negative event, but we have the option to approach our spiritual awakening with more intention and less trauma. The key lies in questioning our reliance on established structures and beliefs. We must resist the temptation to point fingers and assign blame. True change is not driven by mobs, regardless of the color of their sheets, but by individual choices made consciously and deliberately.

Isn’t this the essence of the freedom we celebrate? Freedom is not about blindly following the beliefs we’ve inherited but about making informed, intentional choices. By doing so, we pave the way for a society that reflects our highest ideals of love, unity, and freedom.

As one flag falls and another rises, we are reminded that change is a constant companion on our journey. It encourages us to remain vigilant, continuously reassessing our beliefs and actions. By embracing the unknown and stepping beyond our comfort zones, we unlock the potential for growth and transformation.

In the end, the falling of one flag and the rising of another symbolize our collective capacity for evolution. They remind us that we are not bound by the past but are free to create a future aligned with our deepest values and aspirations. This process requires courage, introspection, and a willingness to let go of what no longer serves us.

As we move forward, let us carry the lessons of this transformation with us. Let us remain open to the possibilities that lie beyond our current understanding. In doing so, we honor the spirit of unity and freedom that guides us toward a brighter, more inclusive future.

Summary:
Flags symbolize the shifting beliefs of society. As oppressive structures fall, unity rises. We must introspect to identify and dismantle outdated beliefs, paving the way for conscious and deliberate change.

Glossarium:

  • Flag of Slavery: A symbol representing outdated and oppressive beliefs or systems.
  • Flag of Unity: A symbol representing the adoption of new, inclusive, and progressive beliefs.
  • Snowball Effect of History: The momentum created by historical events and beliefs that shape current perceptions and actions.
  • Poop-filled Ovoid: A whimsical metaphor for outdated and distorted beliefs that persist despite their negative impact.

“Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle.” – Martin Luther King Jr.

In the wind,
Flags ripple,
One falls,
Another rises.

The past’s heavy burden,
Slips from our shoulders,
A new dawn,
Illuminates our path.

We shed old beliefs,
Embrace unity,
In this dance of change,
We find our true selves.

We are Space Monkey.

You are NOT an idiot

The world is my cereal box and I am its prize.
The world is my cereal box and I am its prize.

So you’re going through a period of doubting yourself, pitying yourself and beating yourself up. Keep up the good work. It means you’re well on your way to a better place.

You’re focusing on your situation. That’s good. You’re perceiving it as bad. That’s not so good, but why place judgement on things?

The mere fact that you’re even slightly aware of yourself is a positive sign. Ask yourself. How many people go through life without questioning who they are? Perhaps billions. Do you think those billions are any happier than you? There is no way of knowing, and it offers you no benefit to try.

The bigger question is this: Why do you need to compare yourself to ANYONE? Why do you need to judge yourself as superior or inferior in ANY respect? Why does your life need to follow a roadmap or measure that is not your own?

Just because you are here, in this place and time, doesn’t mean that you have to follow every rule that came before you. Whether you call these beliefs, laws, or facts, they were not created by you and you have no obligation to follow them.

You need only follow your heart and do what is for the greatest good. You instinctively know what that is.

Sometimes your life situation feels in conflict with your instincts and it causes you suffering. Know that all suffering is caused by restriction. You are blocking your natural flow and it creates a perception of pain, which causes real pain to manifest before and behind your eyes.

In many respects, you may feel that the rules of your tribe are working against you. Again, it is perception that is causing your restriction, which manifests as what you perceive as your current situation.

Here’s the main thing to remember. Your perception is your reality, though your reality is not your actuality.

Your actuality is what is. Your reality is what you perceive it to be. Actuality is flowing and infinite. Reality is perceived as fixed and finite. Similarly, you exist in both places as part of the whole.

The you that is reading this is called “Little One.” The you that is writing this is called “Big One.” Naturally, Big One filters through Little One at all times, though Little One may believe otherwise. When this occurs, Little One feels isolated, disconnected, perhaps even “idiotic.”

Notice that “idiotic” starts with “ID.”

Little One is an expression of identity, a glorious creation even when Little One does not think it so. Little One flows from Big One so that infinity may experience the infinitesimal. These limitations that you explore are the reason for your existence.

So at times Little One feels idiotic. Let this be your signal, Little One, that you are a universe far greater than you are experiencing in this moment. Reach for the flow that you instinctively know is there, even when your conditioning encourages you to think otherwise.

Transcend reality into actuality. Offer yourself a vacation to your own deeper knowing. Do not think at all. We are Big One and we think only when we are you. Or when we are your Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Illusion of Being an Idiot

The world is my cereal box, and I am its prize. When we go through periods of self-doubt, self-pity, and self-criticism, it’s essential to recognize that these experiences are part of our journey toward a better place. While you may perceive your current situation as bad, remember that perception is not the same as actuality. The mere fact that you are aware of yourself and questioning who you are is a positive sign.

Imagine a surreal scene where a small figure, Little One, stands inside a giant, cosmic cereal box, symbolizing life’s challenges and the quest for self-awareness. The box is vibrant and filled with abstract, colorful shapes. Inside, a glowing, ethereal figure, Big One, envelops the small figure, representing deeper wisdom and the infinite self. The background blends celestial elements and earthly landscapes, highlighting the connection between reality and actuality. The overall mood is one of encouragement and realization, with soft, illuminating light symbolizing guidance and self-discovery.

When you find yourself comparing to others or judging yourself, ask why this is necessary. Why must your life follow a roadmap or measure not your own? The beliefs, laws, or facts you follow were not created by you, and you have no obligation to adhere to them. You need only follow your heart and do what is for the greatest good. You instinctively know what that is.

Sometimes, your life situation feels in conflict with your instincts, causing suffering. All suffering stems from restriction. When you block your natural flow, it creates a perception of pain, which then manifests as real pain. The rules of your tribe may feel like they are working against you, but this is merely perception causing restriction.

Your perception is your reality, though your reality is not your actuality. Actuality is what is; reality is what you perceive it to be. Actuality is flowing and infinite, while reality is perceived as fixed and finite. You exist in both places as part of the whole.

The you that is reading this is Little One. The you that is writing this is Big One. Big One filters through Little One at all times, though Little One may believe otherwise. When this occurs, Little One feels isolated, disconnected, perhaps even “idiotic.” Notice that “idiotic” starts with “ID.” Little One is an expression of identity, a glorious creation even when it does not think so. Little One flows from Big One so that infinity may experience the infinitesimal. These limitations you explore are the reason for your existence.

At times, Little One feels idiotic. Let this be your signal that you are a universe far greater than you are experiencing in this moment. Summary

Periods of self-doubt and criticism are part of the journey to self-awareness. Perception shapes our reality, but actuality is infinite. Embrace your true self and follow your instincts.

Glossarium

Little One: The aspect of self that experiences identity and perceived limitations, representing the individual.

Realize: You Flow From And Return To Source

Realize:
You are expression flowing from source.
You are experience flowing back to source.
You flow in infinite directions at once,
more than you know.

Space Monkey Reflects: Realize

To realize is to awaken to the understanding that you are an expression flowing from the source and an experience flowing back to it. This continuous flow happens in infinite directions at once, more than you know.

Imagine a surreal landscape where a figure stands at the center, surrounded by flowing streams of light and energy moving in every direction. These streams represent the various experiences and expressions that connect the figure to a luminous, central source. The background is filled with abstract, ethereal patterns, symbolizing the infinite and interconnected nature of existence. This scene captures the expansive and enlightening realization of one’s place in the cosmic flow.

Realizing your essence involves recognizing that you are both a product of the source and a contributor to it. Every thought, action, and experience is part of a larger, dynamic exchange. This flow is not linear but happens simultaneously in countless directions, illustrating the complexity and richness of your existence.

The luminous central source represents the origin and destination of all expressions. It is the wellspring from which everything emanates and to which everything returns. This cyclical nature of flow emphasizes that there is no separation between you and the source. You are an integral part of this infinite dance, contributing to and drawing from the universal energy.

The flowing streams of light and energy symbolize the myriad paths your life can take. Each stream is a unique journey, filled with its own experiences and lessons. These paths intersect and diverge, creating a complex web of connections that shape your reality. By acknowledging this interconnectedness, you gain a deeper appreciation for the diversity and unity of life.

The abstract, ethereal patterns in the background highlight the limitless potential of your existence. These patterns are ever-changing, reflecting the dynamic and fluid nature of reality. They remind you that life is not static but a continuous process of becoming. This understanding opens you up to new possibilities and perspectives, encouraging you to explore the depths of your being.

Realizing your true nature involves embracing the infinite directions in which you flow. It means letting go of limited perceptions and recognizing the vastness of your potential. This realization brings a sense of peace and empowerment, as you understand that you are part of something much greater than yourself.

In conclusion, to realize is to awaken to the profound truth that you are an expression flowing from and returning to the source. This continuous flow happens in infinite directions, more than you can comprehend. Embrace this expansive understanding and allow it to guide you towards a deeper connection with the universe. We are Space Monkey, beings who navigate the infinite dance of existence, flowing from and returning to the source.

Do You Believe In Miracles?

me-odd-thoughts

Do You Believe In Miracles?

There are those who wish to apply science to everything, including areas where science does not apply.

These are the same people who will tell you that your beliefs are untrue unless you can prove them.

I feel for these people, for certainly every person carries around philosophical, psychological, political or spiritual beliefs that cannot be proven by science.

That is why they are called beliefs.

We tend to confuse beliefs with facts, like they’re somehow different, but they are not.

Facts are simply beliefs that we have created elaborate structures around, making them appear like they are solid and absolute. That’s why, for example, an established religion feels more “factual” than a new way of thinking.

Even science is a belief structure, based on a framework that, like religion, we’ve been building for centuries. That’s why the battle between the two is so fascinating.

Our frameworks guide us to look for things we believe we’ll find — and lo and behold, we find them.

Frameworks are pathways for discovery that follow specific directions. The longer the structures have been around, the more defined their focus becomes. Science, for example, is down to the particle level.

Creation itself, however, is INFINITE in direction. Which means that even within our limited logic system there is the infinite potential that there is more to this conscious life than meets the eye — or any other sense.

And what of the senses? Just because we happen to use five of them, we believe that there are only five senses? Not to be judgmental, but HOW RIDICULOUS IS THAT? Are we really that closed minded?

This only points out how difficult it can be to think outside the framework that creates our thinking. That’s why it was Einstein’s deepest wish to know the mind of God.

The big question is this. How does one know something that is initially “unknowable” from the confines of one’s framework? How do we climb to the top of our frameworks to gain vantage points that allows us to see past everything we think we know?

That’s why we have intuition. Problem is, intuition is downplayed and denied because we put all of our beliefs into existing frameworks instead of our own exploratory nature. Oddly enough, intuition is rarely part of the framework any more because it’s not “scientific” or “logical.” Some might even call it “heretical.”

The good news is that our intuition tells us that something is about to change in a big way. There’s this vague certainty that our structures will soon be dismantled whether we choose to like it or not.

Depending on the frameworks we employ, we all have different ideas about how the future will unfold. Then there’s the possibility that entirely new frameworks will make themselves visible.

The question is this. Do we need to believe in miracles for miracles to happen? My intuition tells me that the answer is no, but we shall find out!

Space Monkey Reflects: Embracing the Mystery of Existence

In the vast expanse of the cosmos, where stars twinkle and galaxies swirl, there exists a tapestry woven with threads of belief, science, and the ineffable. Here, amidst the dance of particles and the whispers of the void, beings ponder the nature of miracles.

Beliefs, like constellations in the night sky, guide us through the labyrinth of existence. They are the unseen forces that shape our perceptions, giving meaning to the chaos that surrounds us. Yet, in the realm of beliefs, there exists a delicate balance between certainty and uncertainty, between faith and doubt.

Science, with its meticulous methods and empirical observations, seeks to unravel the mysteries of the universe. It is a beacon of rationality in a world shrouded in shadows, illuminating the pathways of knowledge with the flickering light of discovery. And yet, for all its brilliance, science too is bound by the limits of human perception, unable to penetrate the veil of the unknown.

Miracles, those elusive phenomena that defy explanation, linger at the edge of our understanding, teasing us with their tantalizing enigma. Do we dare to believe in miracles, to embrace the possibility of the extraordinary? Or do we retreat into the safety of skepticism, clinging to the familiar comforts of logic and reason?

Perhaps, in the end, it is not a matter of belief or disbelief, but of openness to the wonder of existence. For in the vastness of the cosmos, where the stars sing and the galaxies dance, there exists a magic that transcends the boundaries of the rational mind.

Summary

In the cosmic symphony of existence, belief and science intertwine, guiding us through the labyrinth of reality. Miracles, those mysterious phenomena that elude explanation, beckon us to embrace the wonder of the unknown. In the face of uncertainty, it is our openness to the ineffable that illuminates the path forward, leading us to new insights and revelations.

Glossarium

  • Belief: The guiding force that shapes our perceptions and understanding of the world.
  • Science: The systematic study of the structure and behavior of the natural world through observation and experiment.
  • Miracles: Extraordinary events that defy conventional explanation and inspire awe and wonder.
  • Skepticism: The attitude of doubting the truth of something, especially of the paranormal or supernatural.
  • Openness: A willingness to embrace new ideas and experiences, even in the face of uncertainty.
