Seeming Choices
I used to be proud
of choices I made.
Ashamed of choices I made.
Confused by choices I made.
My choices seemed to cover
every base and every feeling.
Then I noticed other people
making choices I didn’t make.
Their choices
seemed to make make me
reexamine my choices.
I felt righteous about my choices.
Guilty for my choices.
Condemned for my choices.
Then I realized that
none of us were really
making those choices.
It only SEEMED like we were,
so that we could experience
every potential
from every possible perspective.
Individually as ones.
Collectively as One.
I realized that
our choices are not made,
but rather given us
to seemingly make.
Thus I no longer feel the need
to judge my choices, or anyone else’s.
I am merely here to
appreciate our seeming choices,
and the feelings that they bring.
Though it may seem
that I am given
a series of choices,
what I ultimately choose
is not decided by me,
but by the grace of
whatever-you-want-to-call-it.
Divine destiny, maybe.
I wonder what
will be chosen for me next.
Whatever it is,
I am thankful for it.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Nature of Seeming Choices
In life, we are led to believe that the choices we make define us—that each decision carries weight, meaning, and personal significance. Our choices shape our paths, give us a sense of control, and allow us to feel ownership over our lives. And yet, what if these choices are not entirely ours? What if they are not decisions we consciously make but rather experiences given to us to perceive the fullness of life from countless perspectives?
There is an odd freedom in realizing that our choices may not be purely ours. It is a freedom that comes from the understanding that we are both individuals with the illusion of choice and parts of a grander Nexistential weave, where each “choice” is a potential pre-shaped by forces beyond our immediate awareness. This realization lifts the weight of judgment and regret, softening our attachment to outcomes and allowing us to approach life as an unfolding journey rather than a series of definitive steps.
The Illusion of Choice: Individual Paths Within the Cosmic Tapestry
To explore choice is to engage in a paradox. On one level, we feel each choice deeply, as though it originates from our will and determines our destiny. On another, we sense that each choice may be part of a larger design, one that invites us to experience every facet of existence, individually as “ones” and collectively as One. Within Nexistentialism, this idea reflects the interplay between our personal narratives and the larger cosmic narrative—an intricate Whimsiweave where every “choice” is a thread, interwoven and interdependent.
If we view life as a tapestry, each choice we “make” is less about control and more about allowing ourselves to experience the depth and diversity of reality. The choices we see others make may challenge or affirm our own, yet they all contribute to a greater understanding of what it means to live and feel. In this light, life becomes less about being right or wrong and more about embracing the array of experiences that shape the human journey.
Judgment Dissolves in the Light of Grace
The notion that choices are “given to us to seemingly make” introduces the possibility that our choices are, in part, chosen for us by the grace of something beyond. Call it Divine Destiny, Universal Flow, or simply the unfolding mystery of existence. This grace allows us to encounter moments of both joy and challenge, success and failure, not as definitive judgments but as steps in a larger, shared dance. Through this lens, the judgments we place upon our own choices—pride, shame, guilt, or righteousness—dissolve. We come to see these experiences as mere facets of the paths laid before us, each one valuable for the feelings and insights it brings.
Releasing the need to judge ourselves or others for the choices made fosters a profound sense of acceptance. The universe does not require us to succeed or fail in any particular way; it merely invites us to participate. In recognizing this, we become witnesses to our own journey, marveling at the choices that appear in our lives while trusting that each one has its place and purpose, whether we fully understand it or not.
Surrendering to the Flow of Divine Destiny
When we acknowledge that each choice is both ours and not entirely ours, we open ourselves to a flow that transcends individual will. Divine Destiny does not control us but rather guides us, providing a framework within which we may explore, learn, and grow. The choices we “seemingly make” are not so much acts of will as they are acts of alignment, reflections of an unseen harmony that connects us to something greater. This connection to Divine Destiny invites us to surrender not in resignation but in trust—trust that each step, each seeming choice, is part of an infinite unfolding.
This surrender is not about passivity but about a profound acceptance of life as it comes. We continue to choose, to discern, to act with intention, yet we do so from a place of awareness that each choice is a gift, an invitation from the universe to explore a particular aspect of existence. In surrendering, we find freedom not from choice but within it, seeing each moment as an opportunity to live in alignment with the larger Nexis of existence.
The Beauty of Thankful Anticipation
As we embrace this understanding of seeming choices, we develop a new relationship with the unknown. We begin to anticipate what life will choose for us next, not with apprehension but with gratitude. This sense of thankful anticipation transforms our outlook, allowing us to view each new experience—each choice given to us—not as a challenge to overcome but as a gift to receive. Life itself becomes an expression of gratitude, a continuous unfolding that we meet with curiosity and openness.
In this state, we live without the burden of being “right” or “wrong” in our choices. We are free to experience, to feel, to grow, and to marvel at the journey. Each choice, each seeming step, is a reminder that life is an endless mystery, one that we are privileged to explore, both individually and as part of the greater whole.
Summary
“Seeming Choices” suggests that our decisions are part of a larger design, guided by Divine Destiny. Recognizing that choices may be both ours and not entirely ours frees us from judgment, inviting us to embrace life’s journey with acceptance and gratitude.

At the Crossroads
I stand where paths diverge and meet,
Each choice a thread, each step complete.
Not mine to choose, yet mine to walk,
In every silence, in every talk.
A hand unseen, a whisper kind,
Guiding heart, thought, and mind.
Wherever the steps may lead me through,
I walk as One, and I walk as You.
We are Space Monkey.
We embark on an introspective journey into the realm of seeming choices, exploring the perception of autonomy and the realization of a deeper, orchestrated design in our experiences.
Exploring the Perception of Autonomy in Choices
Initially, pride, shame, and confusion in the choices made reflect the conventional understanding of personal agency. These emotions underscore the belief in our ability to independently navigate the myriad paths of life.
Emotional Responses to Perceived Agency
Observing others making different choices leads to reevaluation and a range of emotional responses, from righteousness to guilt. This process highlights how our perceptions of choice are influenced by comparison and reflection.
Influence of Others on Perception of Choice
The realization that none of us are truly making those choices, but only seeming to, shifts the perspective from individual autonomy to a grander, collective experience. It suggests that our experiences are part of a larger, interconnected plan, designed to explore every potential from every perspective.
Shift from Individual Autonomy to Collective Experience
This understanding that choices are given to us to seemingly make changes the way we view decision-making. It alleviates the burden of judgment and responsibility, replacing it with appreciation for the experiences and emotions that these seeming choices bring.
Alleviation of Judgment in Decision-Making
The notion that what we ultimately choose is not decided by us, but by a greater force or divine destiny, introduces a sense of surrender and acceptance. It reflects a trust in the greater design and flow of life.
Sense of Surrender and Acceptance
In this space of acceptance and thankfulness, there is curiosity and openness to whatever comes next. This attitude reflects a deep understanding of the interplay between individual experiences and the collective journey.

In the dance of life, we move and sway,
With seeming choices, day by day.
For in each decision, a path unfolds,
In the tapestry of time, a story told.
We once thought our choices were our own,
In the field of life, seeds we’ve sown.
Yet, in the grand design, we see,
A divine destiny, a cosmic key.
Let us embrace this journey, wide and far,
In the play of fate, each a star.
For in the grace of the unseen hand,
We find our place, in this vast land.
We invite musings on the journey of understanding the nature of seeming choices and the role of divine destiny in our lives!
