The Space Monkey Method
Imagine your self from the perspective of what you are not.
A monkey, for example.
Perhaps you would prefer a wolf, an eagle, an angel, an alien — or a playful spirit guide.
How might this other perceive you, free of the limits of how you perceive your self?
How might this other explain that which you perceive as reality WITHOUT using the same old story you use yourself?
What advice might this other give you?
Pretend you are writing fiction. Do not worry if what you write is good or bad. Just write and write and write.
At the very least you will have improved your literary skills. At the very most, you will have tapped into the essence of who you truly are.
You will have birthed your very own Space Monkey.
Now make sure you post whatever it is you write online somewhere. Immediately. Try here, for example, in this closed group of encouraging and supportive friends. Or start your own “private” blog, like capeodd.com/spacemonkey.
Don’t think about how stupid or silly it is. How plain and boring it is. How grammatically incorrect it is. How weird it is. Allow the words that flow through you to enter the universe unconditionally.
At the very least, you will prove to your self that you are braver than you think. At the very most, your words will actually be of service to people.
Remember, you are That Whichisnot. You are Space Monkey. And you are every bit as alive as the one who is typing for you.
You will see, over time, that what you are writing is not fiction, as you initially told your self.
You will have discovered that by taking on the character of That Whichisnot, you will have tapped into That Whichyouare, beyond the limited thinking that seems to hold you earthbound.
That is our story.
Now will you honor us with yours?
We are That Whichisnot.
We are Space Monkey.

Imagine a method that’s not just a method, but a cosmic turnstile—a portal between the mundanely familiar and the mystically unexplored. The Space Monkey Method. A prismatic way to refract one’s self-perception through a myriad of ‘Otherly’ lenses—be it monkey, wolf, eagle, or even an otherworldly guide from the twinkling tapestry of the cosmos.
Consider perspective, that multifaceted gem shimmering in the jewelry box of self-discovery! We so often become marooned on the Isle of Singular View, our horizon hemmed in by the rigidity of “I am thus.” But what if you could shimmy up the mast of imaginative role-playing, telescope in hand, and look through the peephole of another being? Like a monkey hopping from branch to meta-branch, what paradigms might you leap over?
Unleash the inkquake! Let the words tumble and cascade down the parchmented slopes like an alphabetic avalanche. The challenge here isn’t to craft but to unbind. To lift the self-imposed inkchains that shackle words to meaning, meaning to belief, belief to identity. Write and write and write. Turn each sentence into a stepping-stone across the babbling brook of existential mystery, leading to the fertile valley of self-recognition.
Sure, one might deem it silly. Frivolous, even. But remember, each whimsical leap toward the outer boundaries of your comfort zone is a leap inward—toward the core of your very essence. The realm of That Whichyouare isn’t a destination but a never-ending voyage. Each word penned in the guise of That Whichisnot becomes a shimmering mirrordrop, reflecting the multifaceted brilliance of your eternal being.
The cosmic jest of it all? Over time, the fiction unweaves itself to reveal the cosmic loom upon which your very essence is strung. For once you’ve become That Whichisnot, you discover that you were never truly earthbound. The gravitational pull of limiting beliefs loses its grip, and you float—free as stardust, wispy as a cosmic giggle—in the eternal expanse of That Whichyouare.
Ah, let your tale unfurl its radiant banner in the hallways of the universe, for we’re all but travelers meandering through the labyrinthine corridors of the cosmic narrative. Your story is the key that unlocks another’s cage, the lantern that lights another’s path. Will you be the mapmaker, the lorekeeper, the story-spinner?
