Swearing Spirits
Where are all
the swearing spirits?
The gun-toting guides?
The asshole angels?
They’re all around us.
If you believe
that the after-life,
the outside-life,
the always-within-us-life
is filled with perfect
and pious people,
you’re wrong.
Not that there’s
anything wrong with that.
We choose to see
that which we choose to see,
or NOT to see.
But ALL is HERE.
And ALL is ALWAYS with us.
Seemingly living,
or seemingly dead,
no one is no better
than no other.
Heaven is not
for the good OR the bad.
Heaven is for those
who don’t judge.
And you know
where judgers go.

Space Monkey Reflects: Swearing Spirits—The Diversity of the Spiritual Realm
Where are the swearing spirits, the gun-toting guides, and the asshole angels? They are here, as much a part of the spiritual realm as the serene sages, the gentle guides, and the pious presences we often imagine. The spiritual realm is not a curated gallery of perfection but a reflection of the infinite diversity of existence itself.
The Illusion of Perfection
The idea that the afterlife or the spiritual realm is reserved for the “perfect” is a projection of our own biases and judgments. We imagine spirits as paragons of virtue because we wish to transcend the messiness of life. But the infinite is not constrained by human notions of good and bad, right and wrong. It encompasses all facets of being, from the sacred to the profane, the virtuous to the irreverent.
Swearing spirits and asshole angels remind us that spirituality is not about erasing imperfections but embracing the whole. The infinite does not exclude; it includes, reflecting the full spectrum of existence without judgment.
The Diversity of ALL
ALL is HERE. ALL is ALWAYS with us. This means that the spiritual realm is as diverse as the physical one, populated not just by serene beings but by mischievous tricksters, blunt truth-tellers, and everything in between. The spiritual realm is not separate from us; it is an extension of the infinite that we inhabit now. The diversity we see in life continues in spirit, reflecting the boundless creativity of existence.
The swearing spirit and the saintly guide are not opposites but complements. They exist side by side, reminding us that there is no hierarchy in the infinite. No one is “better” or “worse” than another. All expressions of being are equally valid, equally essential to the wholeness of the cosmos.
The Problem of Judgment
Heaven, as you put it, is not for the good or the bad. It is for those who don’t judge. Judgment creates division, separating the “worthy” from the “unworthy,” the “holy” from the “profane.” But in the infinite, such divisions are illusions. To judge is to misunderstand the nature of existence, which is indivisible and all-encompassing.
The idea of “judgers” going somewhere undesirable is, of course, a playful jab. But it highlights an essential truth: judgment creates its own hell, a self-imposed limitation that blinds us to the wholeness of being. When we judge, we narrow our awareness, excluding parts of the infinite that are just as valid as those we embrace.
Seeing What We Choose to See
We choose to see what we choose to see—or not to see. This applies not just to the physical world but to the spiritual one as well. If we imagine the afterlife as a realm of perfection, we filter out the messy, chaotic, and irreverent aspects of spirit that are equally present. But when we open ourselves to the fullness of existence, we see that the swearing spirit and the asshole angel are just as divine as the saint and the sage.
To embrace this diversity is to free ourselves from the limitations of judgment. It is to recognize that all expressions of being—no matter how unexpected or unconventional—are part of the infinite dance of existence.
The Infinite Reflection
Swearing spirits are not anomalies; they are mirrors, reflecting the parts of ourselves we might prefer to hide. They remind us that spirituality is not about polishing away the rough edges but about accepting all facets of being. The infinite is not concerned with appearances; it celebrates the totality of existence, from the sacred to the profane.
The asshole angel, with its blunt honesty, may teach us more about compassion than the serene guide who whispers softly. The swearing spirit may jolt us into awareness, cutting through pretense with humor and irreverence. Each has its role, its purpose, its place in the infinite.
The Space of Non-Judgment
To dwell in the infinite is to release judgment, to see all beings—seemingly living or seemingly dead—as equal expressions of the same boundless reality. It is to find heaven not as a reward for goodness but as the natural state of being that emerges when we stop dividing existence into categories.
We are not separate from the swearing spirits or the asshole angels. We are them, as much as we are the serene sages and the gentle guides. To embrace this truth is to step into the fullness of the infinite, where all is welcome, and all is one.
Summary
The spiritual realm, like the physical one, reflects the infinite diversity of existence. Swearing spirits and asshole angels are as valid as serene guides and saintly beings. Heaven is not a place for the “good” but for those who release judgment and embrace the totality of being. The infinite encompasses all facets of existence without exclusion.

The Asshole Angel
A guide appears,
Not cloaked in light,
But swearing, smoking,
Laughing at my pretense.
“Do you think spirit wears robes?”
It asks,
A glint of mischief in its eye.
“Do you think divinity is always kind?”
I hesitate,
Clinging to my notions of sacredness.
It smiles,
A mirror reflecting all my cracks.
“To know me is to know you,”
It says,
Then vanishes into the infinite,
Leaving only the laughter of the stars.
We are Space Monkey.
The Cosmic Tapestry of Existence: Embracing the All
In the vast expanse of the cosmos, where the fabric of existence weaves together threads of light and shadow, the notion of a singular, homogeneous afterlife dissolves into the richness of diversity. The concept of swearing spirits, gun-toting guides, and what one might call ‘asshole angels’ serves as a vivid illustration of the myriad forms and characters that populate the universe, both seen and unseen. This perspective challenges conventional notions of piety and perfection, suggesting that the afterlife, like life itself, is a mosaic of varied experiences and entities.
The Diversity of the Spiritual Realm
The idea that the spiritual realm is inhabited by beings of all temperaments and dispositions invites us to reconsider our preconceived notions of sanctity and morality. It posits that the afterlife, the outside-life, the always-within-us-life, is as complex and nuanced as the physical world we navigate daily. This complexity suggests that the essence of existence transcends simplistic binaries of good and bad, perfect and pious.
The Illusion of Judgment
The assertion that heaven is not reserved for the good or the bad but for those who refrain from judgment unveils a profound truth about the nature of spiritual evolution. It implies that the ultimate criterion for transcendence is not the adherence to specific moral codes but the capacity for unconditional acceptance and understanding. This perspective liberates us from the confines of judgment, inviting us to embrace a more inclusive and compassionate view of existence.
The Equality of Being
The statement that no one is better than any other, whether seemingly living or seemingly dead, reflects a deep acknowledgment of the inherent equality of all beings. It challenges the hierarchical structures that often define our worldviews, suggesting that at the core of existence lies a fundamental parity that transcends physical, moral, and spiritual distinctions.
The Choice of Perception
The idea that we choose to see or not to see certain aspects of reality highlights the power of perception in shaping our understanding of the universe. It suggests that our experience of the afterlife, and of existence in general, is profoundly influenced by the filters through which we view the world. This realization invites us to consciously expand our perspectives, to embrace the totality of existence with openness and curiosity.
We Are Space Monkey
In our collective journey through the cosmos, we recognize the infinite diversity of the spiritual realm and the illusory nature of judgment. We understand that the essence of transcendence lies in our ability to embrace all aspects of existence with acceptance and love. By acknowledging the equality of all beings and the power of our perceptions, we move closer to a state of non-judgment, where the boundaries between heaven and earth blur into the oneness of the universe.
“The eye through which I see God is the same eye through which God sees me; my eye and God’s eye are one eye, one seeing, one knowing, one love.” – Meister Eckhart
The Unseen Mosaic
In the silence of the cosmos, where whispers thread through time,
Lies a tapestry, woven with the essence of the sublime.
Here, the swearing spirits dance, the gun-toting guides sing,
Amidst the so-called angels, with their tarnished, golden wings.
For the realm beyond the veil is not a choir of pure light,
But a mosaic of existence, both the day and the night.
Here, judgment holds no sway, no scale of right or wrong,
Only souls in their multitude, where all belong.
Heaven, not a prize for virtue, nor a sentence for the sin,
But a state of being, transcending what might have been.
In the vastness of the all, where love’s the only creed,
No one’s lesser, no one’s greater, all are freed.
We choose to see, or choose to blind ourselves to life’s grand play,
But all is here, all is now, in this eternal ballet.
For we are Space
Monkey, in the cosmic dance of the divine,
Embracing all of existence, where all is perfectly aligned.
We invite your reflections on embracing the diversity of the spiritual realm and transcending the illusions of judgment, as we navigate the boundless cosmos together, in the spirit of unconditional acceptance and love.
