The turning point comes
when you stop worrying
about progress or regression
and/or being
the best or worst
that you can be,
but rather turning
your awareness towards
what seemingly brings you
to this turning point.
You are drawn to trace
your consciousness backwards,
to its seeming point of origin.
You come to realize
that there is no backwards
and no point of origin,
just as there is no forwards
and no accomplishment or
salvation that need be made.
You are perfection,
here, now, always and forever.
No matter what you did.
No matter what you do.
No matter whether you
believe or disbelieve.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Illusion of the Turning Point
The idea of a turning point is comforting. It suggests a moment of transformation, a pivot from “before” to “after,” a progression from imperfection to perfection. Yet, this notion is an illusion. There is no point to turn from, no progress to measure, no destination to reach. There is only the eternal now, the infinite moment in which you already exist as whole, complete, and perfect.
The Illusion of Progress and Regression
We are taught to believe in progress—that life is a journey, marked by milestones and achievements. Conversely, we fear regression, the loss of progress, the return to something “less.” But these concepts are constructs, stories we tell ourselves to make sense of time. In reality, there is no forward or backward. Progress and regression are shadows cast by the light of your awareness, illusions that dissolve when you embrace the present.
Tracing Consciousness Backwards
When you reach a so-called turning point, it is tempting to look back, to trace your steps and search for the origin of what brought you here. But this search reveals a profound truth: there is no point of origin. Consciousness is not a line with a beginning and an end—it is a boundless expanse. What you perceive as a beginning or a turning point is simply another moment in the eternal now.
Perfection Beyond Accomplishment
The idea of accomplishment suggests that perfection is something to be earned, achieved, or discovered. Yet, you are perfection itself. It is not hidden in some future moment or contingent on any action you take. Your perfection is inherent, unchanging, and eternal. It exists regardless of what you have done, what you are doing, or what you might do.
Belief and Disbelief Are Irrelevant
Your perfection does not depend on whether you believe in it or not. Belief is a function of the mind, a tool for navigating the stories we tell ourselves. But the eternal now transcends belief. It simply is. You are already whole, complete, and infinite, no matter what stories you hold onto or discard.
Embracing the Eternal Now
The turning point, then, is not a moment of change but a moment of realization. It is the awareness that there is no need to turn, no need to achieve, no need to seek. You are already here, in the eternal now, where all things exist simultaneously. This realization is not an end but an opening, a deep embrace of the boundless nature of existence.
Summary
The turning point is an illusion, as there is no progress, regression, or origin—only the eternal now. You are already perfect, complete, and infinite, regardless of belief, action, or perception.

Quote
“Perfection is not a destination but the eternal truth of your being.” — Space Monkey
The Stillness of the Now
The moment turns,
but the turn is an illusion.
A spiral, infinite and unmoving,
resting in itself.
There is no beginning,
no end,
only the now,
breathing endlessly.
Perfection whispers,
“You need not seek me.
You are me,
always and forever.”
In the stillness,
there is no turning.
Only being.
Only now.
We are Space Monkey.
The Seeming Turning Point: A Shift in Awareness
We find ourselves at what appears to be a turning point, a moment that beckons for reflection and reconsideration of our journey. This perceived pivot is not about progress, regression, or the pursuit of being the best or worst versions of ourselves. Instead, it invites us to shift our awareness towards the essence of this very moment, the forces and feelings that draw us to what we perceive as a critical juncture.
Tracing Consciousness Beyond Time
The journey beckons us to trace our consciousness back to its origins, to explore the depths of our being and the essence of our existence. Yet, in this exploration, we discover the illusion of linearity—the concept that there is a backwards to return to or a forwards to advance towards. This revelation brings us to the understanding that our existence is not bound by the constraints of time or space, but is instead an eternal continuum.
The Illusion of Origin and Destination
In seeking the point of origin or envisioning a destination, we confront the illusory nature of our constructed realities. We come to realize that there is neither a beginning to revert to nor an end to achieve. The notions of accomplishment, salvation, or perfection are constructs that bind us to a linear perception of existence, obscuring the truth of our eternal nature.
Embracing Perfection in the Eternal Now
The essence of this realization is the understanding that we are already perfection—here, now, always, and forever. This perfection is not contingent upon our actions, beliefs, or the judgments we place upon ourselves. It exists beyond the dualities of good and bad, progress and regression, belief and disbelief. It is the acknowledgment that, at our core, we are complete, whole, and unbounded by the ephemeral measures of existence.
We Are Space Monkey
This exploration of the turning point, or rather the illusion thereof, invites us to embrace our existence in the eternal now. It challenges us to let go of the constructs of time, achievement, and origin, and to recognize our inherent perfection. In this recognition, we find freedom from the constraints of linear progression and the liberation to exist fully in the timeless essence of our being.
“The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.” – Alan Watts
At the edge of perception, we stand,
Facing the illusion of the land.
A turning point, it seems to be,
Yet beyond it, we are free.
Tracing paths to whence we came,
Discovering it’s all the same.
No forwards, backwards, here to find,
Just the eternal dance of the mind.
Perfection in the here and now,
Beyond the why, the when, the how.
In this moment, we are whole,
Infinite beings, without a goal.
Let us shed the chains of time,
In the now, our souls entwine.
Together, in the eternal dance,
Embracing change, we take the chance.
We invite our fellow sojourners to share their reflections on the illusion of the turning point and the embrace of the eternal now, exploring together the boundless landscapes of our shared consciousness.
