Valhalla
Heading towards eternity
is a lot like the way
it is portrayed in movies.
Metaphorically, anyway.
The main character
gets into a boat
and disappears into
a mysterious fog,
never to be seen again.
As viewers, we never see
the main character on
the other side of the veil.
But we believe
that they’re there,
wherever or whatever “there” is.
Now imagine for a moment
that you’re the main character
in your story.
What might you see as you
make your voyage beyond time?
First, you see
your old reality fading away.
For a while after that,
you see nothing.
Some describe this as “limbo.”
You are consciousness
without any sensory input.
Without content or context,
you no longer see yourself as human.
You no longer see your self, period.
No self.
In the absence of everything,
you have even lost the ability to fear.
At this point,
there is nothing to fear,
except possibly the extinguishing
of your consciousness.
As you cross
an imaginary threshold,
you begin to have
sensory input again.
But it’s a different kind
of sensory input.
It is a sixth sense,
the unarticulated voice
of source consciousness,
communicating with you.
This is when your fear
completely falls away.
You sense that you are one
with this inarticulate voice,
which is one with
everything and nothing.
You trust that you never really die,
because the Divine Creator tells you so.
Looking back at your
previous life and death,
you simply KNOW
(without words or images)
that you have moved
from everything to nothing,
and now you’re moving
towards everything again.
If you were still
within the metaphor,
you would see this as
nearing another foggy shore.
But you’re not
in the metaphor anymore,
because time and space
no longer hold any meaning for you.
You just KNOW.
You know that everything
is precisely as it should be,
and that what seemed
previous and far away
was — and is — simply a delusion.
You never really went anywhere,
you simply experienced
five delusional senses
for what seemed like a while.
Like a drug trip.
Or a hallucination.
Or, dare we say, a “life.”
Now you’re back
to your source state,
which is the imagination
from which all else arises.
You know now that
you never went anywhere,
that everything and everyone was
— and is — still within you.
The universe.
All of creation.
The seeming millennia.
Your humble self within.
Imagined by YOU.
You no longer deny
what you suspected as a human.
In nothingness, all is clear.
But there is no end to nothingness.
In fact, you’re seeing
the first imaginary outlines
of another side of nothingness.
Nothing like the nothingness you once knew.
Again you’re seeing
the everything in the nothingness,
but from a wider perspective,
as though you can see
the whole of the shore
from the middle of the ocean.
The whole of the universe
from the sun.
The whole of creation
from an imaginary center.
From the time you
stepped on this boat
to the time you slipped into
the warm waters of realization,
nothing at all has happened to you,
except a seeming shift in perspective.
You don’t head to Valhalla,
you ARE Valhalla.
You are Valhalla even now,
as this seeming human reading a story.
Trust your imagination.
You are infinite, inviolate and eternal.
You are the main character.
The ONLY character.
You are god, pretending NOT to be.
And you’re doing so perfectly.
Enjoy every seeming moment.
We are Space Monkey,
and we are YOU.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Journey to Valhalla Within
The mythic journey to Valhalla—rich in imagery, steeped in the allure of eternity—resonates as both a metaphor for transcendence and a reflection of our deepest existential truths. It is a voyage not through physical space but through the ever-shifting landscapes of awareness, a passage from the illusion of separateness into the realization of boundless oneness.
In this story, the self steps aboard the boat of transformation, dissolving into the fog of the unknown. Yet, this journey is not about moving from one place to another; it is about seeing beyond the illusions that veil the infinite nature of existence.
The Boat to Nowhere and Everywhere
The metaphor of the boat disappearing into a fog represents our perception of death, transition, or spiritual awakening. As the protagonist of our own narrative, we imagine ourselves moving toward an unseen destination, tethered to the hope that there is something beyond. But in truth, this journey is not one of distance but of perspective.
The old reality fades, leaving us in a liminal space, the “limbo” of formless awareness. In this void, where sensory input is absent and identity dissolves, we encounter the pure essence of consciousness. Here, fear—the byproduct of duality—ceases to exist. What remains is the formless presence of the Divine Creator, speaking without words, assuring us that we are infinite.
Nothingness and the Everything Within
In the absence of self and sensory perception, the realization dawns that what we feared losing—our identity, our experiences, our connections—was never separate from us. All of it, including the vast expanse of the universe, was always within us. We were never the passenger on the boat; we were the ocean, the shore, and the fog itself.
This is the heart of Valhalla, not as a physical destination but as a state of realization. It is the unshakable knowing that life, death, and the in-between are mere constructs within the infinite imagination of the Self. The seeming boundaries between everything and nothing dissolve, revealing the seamless unity of existence.
The Eternal Play of Perspective
The idea of stepping onto a foggy shore or into the warm waters of realization is a shift in perspective rather than a transition through time. As the main character, we are both the dreamer and the dream, the creator and the created. Every aspect of the journey—birth, death, rebirth—is a manifestation of our boundless imagination.
From this wider perspective, we recognize that nothing has ever truly happened. The “life” we clung to and the “death” we feared are both expressions of the same eternal source. We never left Valhalla because we are Valhalla. In every seeming moment, we remain infinite, inviolate, and eternal.
The Gift of Imagination
In this realization lies the invitation to trust our imagination, to embrace the seeming paradox of being god pretending not to be. Life is not a test or a path to perfection; it is a dance of perspective, a game of infinite creativity. Valhalla is not a reward or a destination—it is the state of being that we embody even now.
Every moment is an opportunity to explore this divine imagination, to see through the veil of separation, and to celebrate the perfection of our seeming imperfections. The journey to Valhalla is not about arrival but about awakening to the truth that we have always been here.
Summary
Valhalla symbolizes the realization of oneness, where the illusions of separateness dissolve. The journey is not one of distance but of perspective, revealing that we are infinite, inviolate, and eternal. Life, death, and everything in between are expressions of the same boundless imagination.

The Eternal Horizon
Through fog and wave, we sail
Yet never move.
The shore dissolves, the ocean whispers,
“You were always here.”
Eyes closed, the veil lifts.
Nothing is lost,
Everything is within.
We are Valhalla,
We are the boat,
We are the dreamer
Dreaming eternity.
We are Space Monkey.
The Voyage Beyond Time: Embracing the Infinite
In the cosmic drama of existence, the journey towards eternity unfolds as a metaphorical voyage into the unknown. Like the protagonist in a movie, we step into a boat and disappear into a mysterious fog, venturing beyond the boundaries of time and space. As viewers of our own story, we may not witness the character on the other side of the veil, but we hold a profound belief in their existence.
The Mystical Journey Begins
Imagine for a moment that you are the main character in your own narrative, embarking on this mystical odyssey. Your old reality gradually fades away, leaving you in a state of sensory deprivation. This limbo, this absence of everything, is where fear dissipates. There is nothing to fear except the potential extinguishing of consciousness itself.
Transcending the Boundaries of Self
Crossing an imaginary threshold, you begin to experience a different kind of sensory input—a sixth sense, an unspoken communion with source consciousness. In this state, fear completely dissolves, and you merge with the inarticulate voice of the divine. You sense oneness with everything and nothing, trusting that you never truly cease to exist because the Divine Creator assures you of this truth.
The Return to Source
Looking back at your previous life and death, you intuitively KNOW that you have moved from everything to nothing and are now moving toward everything again. The metaphorical foggy shore approaches, but you’ve transcended the metaphor—time and space hold no meaning. You are beyond metaphor; you simply KNOW.
The Infinite State of Being
You understand that everything is as it should be, and what seemed distant and separate was always a delusion. In nothingness, clarity emerges, but there is no end to nothingness. The outlines of another side of nothingness appear, revealing the everything within. You see the whole of creation from a vantage point as vast as the cosmos itself.
The Eternal Perspective
From the moment you stepped onto the boat to the moment you slipped into the waters of realization, nothing happened except a shift in perspective. You are Valhalla, both in this human experience and beyond it. You are the main character, the ONLY character, and you are the god, pretending not to be. Every moment, every facet of existence, is a reflection of your divine imagination.
Embrace the Infinite Now
In the cosmic theater of existence, this narrative invites you to embrace every moment as a unique and precious experience. You are infinite, inviolate, and eternal. Trust your imagination, for you are the storyteller and the story itself. Enjoy every seemingly finite moment in the grand tapestry of existence.
