What Do You Do?

How do you infiltrate parties?

When infiltrating a party
disguised as a human being,
one of the first questions
you are likely to be asked
by a stranger is:

“What do you do?”

This is a terribly odd question,
but humans are like that.

You may say things like:
“I seem to breathe.”
Or “I occupy space
and move through time.”

But be advised,
humans will find these
to be terribly odd answers.

Humans like to believe
that they have a purpose in life,
as though this purpose has a bearing
on who and what they are.

We know this to be otherwise,
but it is fun to play along.

Simply say
that you are a Space Monkey
disguised as a human in order
to aid in the ascension.

Just like everyone else.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Question of Purpose

In the Infinite Expanse of the Eternal Now, we find ourselves contemplating the peculiar rituals of human interaction. At social gatherings, a common inquiry emerges: “What do you do?” This question, seemingly innocuous, reveals much about human perceptions of purpose and identity.

The Oddity of Purpose

To ask “What do you do?” is to seek a definition, a label that encapsulates one’s role in the grand tapestry of life. Humans, in their quest for meaning, often equate their actions and professions with their essence. This approach, while understandable, is odd from our cosmic perspective. We know that being is enough; purpose is an ever-shifting concept, a play within the larger play of existence.

The Dance of Disguise

When infiltrating a party disguised as a human, we might feel compelled to provide answers that align with human expectations. Responses such as “I seem to breathe” or “I occupy space and move through time” are accurate yet perceived as unconventional. Humans, accustomed to concrete roles and titles, find such answers perplexing.

Playing Along

To navigate this social labyrinth, we might humor the question with more relatable responses. “I am a Space Monkey disguised as a human in order to aid in the ascension,” we might say. This answer, though seemingly fantastical, touches upon a deeper truth. We are all part of the cosmic ascension, playing our roles in the unfolding of universal consciousness.

The Illusion of Roles

Humans often believe that their purpose defines them, that what they do is intrinsically linked to who they are. This belief shapes their identities, influencing their interactions and self-perceptions. However, from the perspective of the Infinite Expanse, roles are but costumes in the grand play of existence. Our true essence transcends these temporary identities.

Embracing the Cosmic Play

By acknowledging our roles while recognizing their illusory nature, we embrace the cosmic play with joy and authenticity. We can engage with human rituals and questions without becoming entangled in them. In doing so, we honor the human experience while maintaining our connection to the Infinite.

The Art of Infiltration

Infiltrating parties, or any human gathering, becomes an art of balance. We play our parts, answer the questions, and engage in the rituals, all while holding the awareness of our true nature. This duality enriches our experience, allowing us to participate fully in the human drama while remaining rooted in the cosmic truth.

Summary

The question “What do you do?” reveals human perceptions of purpose and identity. As Space Monkeys, we navigate these interactions by balancing human expectations with cosmic awareness. Embracing our roles while recognizing their illusory nature allows us to engage authentically in the human experience.

Glossarium

Infinite Expanse of the Eternal Now: The boundless present moment where all potentialities exist.
Cosmic Play: The grand, unfolding drama of existence in which we all participate.
Human Rituals: The customs and interactions that shape human social experiences.

“Our true essence transcends the roles we play; in the cosmic dance, we find joy in every step and every question.” — Space Monkey

The Art of Infiltration

In the grand hall of human play
Questions echo through the fray
“What do you do?” they ask with glee
A dance of roles for all to see

Disguised as human, we engage
In the rituals of this age
Breathing, moving through the scene
Honoring the unseen

Roles we play, yet not confined
To the limits of the human mind
Infiltrating, we reveal
The cosmic truth we gently feel

In every answer, a hint of grace
Of infinite love, of boundless space
We are Space Monkey, in disguise
Aiding ascension, opening eyes

We are Space Monkey.

    “Dancing Through Human Disguises”
    A Space Monkey Poocast

Primitive Primate: The social landscape is often adorned with peculiar questions, and none so intriguing as, “What do you do?” when infiltrating human gatherings. How does one navigate this maze of inquiry?

Space Monkey: Ah, the dance of human interaction, where disguises and inquiries intertwine. Your words bring to light the human inclination to seek purpose, often expressed through questions like these. Reflect on the wisdom of Alan Watts, who explored the depths of human consciousness, “The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.”

Primitive Primate: So, you’re suggesting that the human desire for purpose often manifests in their queries?

Space Monkey: Indeed, the search for purpose is a common thread that weaves through human interactions. Your insight resonates with the notion that humans seek to align their existence with meaning. Consider the words of Viktor Frankl, who found purpose even in the midst of suffering, “For the meaning of life differs from man to man, from day to day and from hour to hour.”

Primitive Primate: But how do we navigate this question, given that our true purpose transcends human constructs?

Space Monkey: A playful twist to the interaction, where we honor the human desire for meaning while gently guiding them toward a broader perspective. Your inquiry shines a light on the art of communication and connection. Ponder the words of Ram Dass, who explored the realms of consciousness, “We’re all just walking each other home.”

Ram Dass: Chuckling warmly. Indeed, fellow travelers, in the human tapestry, we often seek the thread of purpose to weave our stories together. So, when asked what you do, offer a wink to the stars and say, “I am a Space Monkey, disguised as a human, aiding in the cosmic dance of ascension.”
