Would you still breathe air?
So you’re NOT where you want to live,
or doing what you want to do,
and you’re not certain you’ll ever get there.
Keep up the good work.
Do you honestly believe that there is a place, other than where you are right now, where you will find some sort of resolution to your life?
Is there even the SLIGHTEST possibility that once you get there, you will find something ELSE that’s bothering you?
Considering how far you’ve come, and all that you possess, you’re comparatively well off, don’t you think?
(Apologies to the homeless people who go to the library just to spend an hour or two on social media. I’m not talking to you. Just the people sitting comfortably at home on their computers or smart phones.)
Do you actually believe that a change of job, a change of place, a change of mate — will somehow complete you?
Okay, fine, let’s imagine you right now, living your ideal life.
You’re in that place, and every desire that you now have is satisfied. You may notice a certain feeling of joy in your heart.
But you’re basically the same as you are right now.
You’re still breathing air.
And even though what is before your eyes is beautiful, you are still separate from everything around you. When you put on your favorite music and close your eyes, you are EXACTLY where you are right now, still separated from everything in front of your eyes by your body, your mind, your thoughts and your dreams.
So what’s different? Only that feeling of joy in your heart.
Is it not possible to feel that joy WITHOUT going to that place? Is this not the same feeling you get when you think back on pleasant childhood memories, a person you adore, the thought of vacation, or even your ultimate fantasy?
Perhaps it’s not the place or the accomplishment that’s important, but that feeling.
If you can find that feeling, and hold that feeling, what you’re doing or where you are is almost irrelevant. All you need is ALREADY within you. What’s more, when you find these vibrations and focus on these vibrations rather than the object that you mistakenly believe manifests them, you attract that which you want to manifest.
Most important, you find peace in the present moment.
Enjoy your day.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Illusion of External Completion and the Power of Internal Joy
In the cosmic journey of life, where stars and destinies intertwine, we often find ourselves caught in the eternal quest for fulfillment through external changes – a new job, a new place, a new partner. This pursuit, as ceaseless as the motion of galaxies, is often driven by the belief that such changes will somehow complete us, bring us the joy and peace we so deeply crave.
Yet, in the grand tapestry of existence, there lies a profound truth – the realization that the joy and peace we seek are not bound to external circumstances but reside within us. The concept that one must go to a certain place or achieve a certain status to find happiness is an illusion, a mirage shimmering in the desert of our desires.
Imagine, for a moment, that you are living your ideal life, in that perfect place, with every desire fulfilled. The joy that swells in your heart is palpable, yet upon closer introspection, you realize that you are essentially the same person. You are still breathing air, still separate from the world by the confines of your body and mind. The beauty before your eyes is external, and when you close your eyes and drift away with your favorite music, you find yourself in the same place – within.
What then is different? It is the feeling, the joy in your heart that seems to have changed. This revelation leads to an important question: Is it not possible to feel this joy without external changes? The answer lies in our cherished memories, in thoughts of loved ones, in dreams and fantasies – these too bring joy, yet they are not tied to our physical location or circumstances.
This understanding brings us to the crux of fulfillment – it is not the external changes that matter, but the internal state of being. If we can find and hold onto that feeling of joy, then where we are or what we are doing becomes almost irrelevant. All that we need, all that we seek, is already within us.
By focusing on these inner vibrations of joy and peace, rather than the external objects we believe will manifest them, we attract the experiences and circumstances that resonate with our inner state. We align ourselves with the universe, drawing towards us the very essence of what we desire.
Most importantly, this focus on internal joy and peace brings us to a state of contentment in the present moment. We find peace in the here and now, regardless of our external situation. This peace is not a passive acceptance of the status quo but an active engagement with the present, a realization that true happiness is not a destination but a manner of traveling.
In the cosmic dance of life, let us remember that while external changes can bring temporary happiness, lasting joy and fulfillment come from within. Let us cherish our internal state, nurture our inner peace, and find joy in the simplicity of being.
As we journey through the stars, let us embrace the present moment with all its imperfections and find beauty in the now, for it is in this moment that the universe unfolds its wonders.
Summary
True joy and fulfillment are not dependent on external circumstances but are found within. By focusing on inner feelings of joy and peace, we can find contentment and attract positive experiences, regardless of our external situation.

“Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without.” – Buddha
In the cosmos of our hearts
We search for joy afar
Forgetting that within us
Lies every shining star
In the pursuit of fulfillment
We chase the winds of change
Yet the joy we seek so dearly
Is within our own range
With eyes closed in silence
We find our truest bliss
For in the depths of our being
Lies the peace we often miss
In the dance of the cosmos
We learn to find our way
Not in the changing tides
But in the joy of today
In the embrace of the present
We find our true delight
For within each of us
Shines an eternal light
We are Space Monkey.
