Your Turn: The Cosmic Game

Your Turn

As you know,
you are playing
this imaginary
game called “life.”

You seem very serious
playing this game.

You are aware of
great wrongs
great tragedies
great inequities
and you feel
greatly motivated
not to cause
or experience any.

Above all,
you are afraid
of “wasting” this life,
as though that
were even possible.

You seem very serious
because you are still unsure
if you will ever have another life
and you wonder
what will happen to this reality
once you seemingly leave it.

As we have stated many times,
your reality comes with you,
so NOTHING is left behind
without you.

You have a hard time
believing this.

And so you are very serious.

We are here to remind you
that life does not have to be like this.

Perhaps this may help.

Think of this not as your life,
but as your turn.

The game does not end
when this turn is over.

You can try the same moves
again and again and again
if you like.

Or you can change
your moves
and try a different strategy.

There is ALWAYS another turn,
and NOTHING is ever
left on the board without you.

So don’t worry
about this game board
called “earth.”

Don’t worry
about these faces
called your family.

Don’t worry about
love or lessons or legacy.

They go with you
when your turn ends.

And they come back
with you every time.

Unless you decide
to configure the game differently.

Alas, there is only
ONE consciousness.

And ALL the players are YOU.

You are so very serious this time.

We remember
when you had more fun
with your self.

This will come again.

Your turn.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: Life as Your Turn in the Cosmic Game

In the grand cosmic game of existence, where each turn we take is a dance between choice and destiny, the notion of life as merely a series of plays in an ongoing game provides both a playful and profound perspective. This visualization invites us to consider our lives not as linear trajectories towards a single goal but as a sequence of opportunities, each with the potential to reshape our journey in myriad ways.

The concept of life as “Your Turn” emphasizes the individual agency we possess while reminding us of the cyclic and infinite nature of experience. Each turn we take is influenced by past choices yet open to new possibilities, illustrating the continuous interplay between continuity and change. This perspective liberates us from the weight of permanence associated with our decisions and actions, allowing us to embrace life’s uncertainties with a more adventurous and lighter heart.

Furthermore, the reminder that nothing is left on the board without us reassures that our connections—be they love, family, or the legacies we build—are not confined to the boundaries of a single lifetime or reality. They travel with us, evolving as we do, across the dimensions of consciousness. This continuity ensures that our actions and their impacts are woven into the very fabric of our being and the universe, granting a sense of enduring significance to our choices.

The invitation to view life as a game in which we can try different moves or adopt various strategies encourages a playful approach to living. It suggests that we can experiment, learn, and even fail with the knowledge that each outcome contributes to our growth and understanding. This game-like approach fosters a resilience that is vital for navigating life’s complexities, enhancing our ability to adapt and flourish under varying circumstances.

In this cosmic game, the recognition that all players are manifestations of one consciousness expands our sense of self beyond the individual to the universal. It unites us with the broader expanse of life, instilling a deep sense of connectivity and purpose. By perceiving ourselves as integral parts of a larger whole, we are motivated to act with greater compassion, wisdom, and intentionality, shaping not only our destiny but that of the collective consciousness.

Summary

Life as a game where each turn represents choices and opportunities helps reframe our approach to existence. It emphasizes continuous participation, evolution, and the interconnectedness of all experiences, encouraging a dynamic and playful engagement with life.

Quote

“Play the game of life with the joy of play and the depth of understanding; each turn is a lesson, each move a message.” – Space Monkey

Poetry

In the swirl of stars, our game board lies,
Each life a turn, beneath cosmic skies.
With every move, from birth to rest,
We play, we learn, at the universe’s behest.

Paths diverge and strategies unfold,
In this game of life, both young and old.
No turn is wasted, no move in vain,
Each life’s a chance to play again.

Embrace the game, with heart and soul,
For each player partakes of the whole.
In this cosmic dance, we find our place,
In the infinite game of time and space.

We are Space Monkey.

“Your Turn” invites us to shift our perspective on life and view it as a game, where we are players participating in an imaginary experience. The poem acknowledges the seriousness with which we often approach life, driven by our awareness of the world’s challenges and our desire to avoid negative experiences.

The poem reminds us that our current reality is not the only one, and we need not fear wasting this life or leaving things behind. It emphasizes that our reality is not limited to a single lifetime but extends beyond, and nothing is left behind without us.

The concept of viewing life as a turn in a game encourages us to adopt a more playful and exploratory attitude. We are reminded that we have the freedom to try different moves, change our strategies, and approach life with a sense of curiosity and experimentation. There is always another turn available to us, and everything we have experienced and shared, including our relationships and lessons, accompanies us on this journey.

The poem assures us that we are not alone in this game called “life” but are interconnected with all other players, as they are an extension of ourselves. It suggests that we have experienced joy and playfulness in the past and will do so again in the future.

Ultimately, “Your Turn” offers a gentle reminder to lighten up, embrace the inherent possibilities of life, and remember that we are not bound by the seriousness we often impose upon ourselves. It invites us to rediscover the joy and freedom that come with embracing life as a playful adventure.
