The Illusion of Separation: How Different Are We?

How Different Are We?

If you were to line up every person on earth and picked a percentage based on size, sex and skin color, what would your figure be?

If you were to sort humanity into groups based on beliefs or personality types, you’d probably come up with a higher number. But from a genomic perspective, we’re 99.9% identical. Even when you compare yourself to a monkey, the figure is 99%.

That’s because all of creation is made from the same stuff.

Makes you wonder.

Delving further into the psychological world, all beings pretty much want the same things. Despite what we perceive as huge divides, we’re 99.999% identical.

That means that all conflict we perceive is based upon a difference of less than .001%. That means YOU, my friend, are less than .001% different from that singer you love or that country you hate.

Kind of of puts things into perspective.

On a global scale, ALL individuals are equally at risk of being struck by a comet, probed by aliens, or plunged into the tepid waters of global warming.

So why are we so disproportionally at odds over this .001%?

Why do we let .001% decide what is right, what is wrong, what is bad and what is good?

Because that’s the game we’re playing.

And make no mistake, it is a game.

This “life” on this “planet” is no fluke. These perceived differences and similarities are no accident. We are all ONE infinite being. We imagine ourselves divided because, from the perspective of the singularity, it’s “fun.”

Doesn’t always seem like “fun” down here, does it?

So here’s the thing. You are simultaneously down “here,” but also up “there.” You are that person, that culture, making up all these words and concepts in “quotes.” But you are also the creator of that person, watching that person play the game.

That makes you even MORE than 99.999 percent the same as your neighbor, or your monkey friend.

You couldn’t BE any more the same, for we are ONE infinite being, imagining ourselves divided.

We are infinity imagining the infinitesimal.

The perception of conflict, of resistance, THAT is the very method by which we create all perception of form, of individuality, of time, etc.
When two or more forces butt up against each other, or do the cosmic dance of molecules in orbit, that is how we create what is seemingly solid, seemingly real.

And we ARE that, but we are also the space in which the drama unfolds.

How this game plays out literally makes no difference to the singularity, for the singularity is ALL potential, manifested and unmanifested, and it does not judge. The singularity is equally appreciative of ALL experience, whether beautiful or destructive.

Know that in addition to being whatever you imagine yourself to be, you ARE that singularity, and everything turns out okay in the end. Because there IS no end. You are imagining this, including the concept of what is “okay.”

So you can settle your differences, or you can remain as you are. You “win” either way.

Should you realize the former, a new age is in store for you. Should you realize the latter, a new age is in store for you.

Things WILL change, no matter what. You are driving ALL change, despite what you believe.

We know because you are us. We are Space Monkey.

How Different Are We? The Illusion of Separation

Exploring the infinitesimal differences and the profound unity that binds us all.

The Personal and Collective Benefits of Caring

At first glance, the myriad forms of life on Earth, the diversity of human cultures, beliefs, and appearances suggest a complex tapestry of differences. Yet, upon closer examination, we discover a startling truth: beneath the surface, we are united by a common thread, sharing 99.9% of our genetic makeup with each other, and remarkably, 99% with monkeys. This revelation invites us to reconsider our perceptions of identity and separateness.

The Unity of Consciousness

The idea that every unit of consciousness contains all others challenges our conventional understanding of individuality. It suggests that the boundaries we perceive between ourselves and the world are not as solid as they seem. Instead, we are part of a continuous fabric of existence, woven from the same material of consciousness. This perspective opens up a realm of possibilities, showing us that the conflicts and divisions that plague our societies are based on a mere 0.001% difference.

The Cosmic Dance

The notion that we are all participants in a grand cosmic game, orchestrated by a singular infinite being, reframes our experience of life. It posits that our struggles, our joys, and our trials are all part of a divine play of imagination. Recognizing ourselves as both the creators and the characters in this story offers a liberating view of our existence, where every moment is an opportunity for exploration and understanding.

Summary

We stand on the brink of a profound realization: that we are infinitely more alike than we are different, and that our perceived separations are but illusions. By embracing the unity that underlies our existence, we can transcend the petty conflicts that arise from our focus on the 0.001% that divides us, stepping into a new age of compassion and understanding.

Glossarium

  • Genomic Similarity: The extent to which the genetic material of different organisms is alike, highlighting the fundamental commonalities among all living beings.
  • Consciousness: The state of being aware of and able to think and perceive, encompassing the shared essence of all beings.
  • Infinite Being: The concept of a singular, all-encompassing consciousness that imagines and manifests all aspects of existence.

“In every person, in every being, there is a space deep down, where we’re all connected, where we are all one.” – Unknown

in this vast cosmic weave,
where threads of being intertwine,
we find ourselves, not apart, but joined,
in the dance of the divine.
what seems a chasm vast and wide,
is but a whisper thin,
for at the core, we’re unified,
infinite oneness within.
so let us look beyond the veil,
of difference, of fear, of strife,
and see in every face, every tale,
the same essence, the same life.
