Nobody cares about you.
They only care about themselves.
This is the absolute truth.
When someone pays attention to you,
it’s not because you’re wonderful
but because the other person
sees something in you that they want.
Perhaps you exhibit a body
they wish they had.
Perhaps you wrote a song
that sums up their feelings.
Perhaps whatever it is you express
gives validation to whatever it is they believe.
This is what is known as resonance.
Resonance is like a drug
that lifts the veil of separateness,
and makes one realize
that one is one with ALL.
Though some are unconscious to this truth,
connection is the one thing EVERYBODY craves.
The feeling of oneness is the ultimate high.
So yeah, nobody cares about you.
That’s because,
at some deeper level,
they want to BE you.
And slightly deeper than that,
they ARE you.
And you ARE wonderful.
