One ludicrous thought
was all it took
for the Divine One
to imagine division.
And there I was.
Suddenly I began thinking,
“How could I possibly be so?”
And so the Divine One
imagined reasons;
dividing further
into millions and millions
of me.
Some of me became knowing.
Some of me became needing.
Some of me became abundance.
Some of me became lack.
Some of me became masculine.
Some of me became feminine.
And I was still just the Divine One,
imagining.
I became millions of me.
Earth me. Animal me.
God me. Angel me. Human me.
All me.
Just for fun,
the Divine One
imagined opposites.
Seeming conflict.
But that was impossible
because I was ALL the Divine One.
Some of me experienced avarice.
Some of me experienced compassion.
Some of me experienced hunger.
And so I ate the metaphorical meat.
And so each imagined experience
became more treasured than the last.
Each perspective
became a new window
on the Divine One.
It mattered not what the Divine One imagined.
And still EVERYTHING mattered.
Because the Divine One imagined
each experience to be different;
each perspective to be breathtaking.
Now the Divine One
even imagined those
who did not believe
that they were the Divine One.
Some of me became doubters.
Some of me became judgers.
Some of me became so certain
that we WEREN’T the Divine One
that this story makes no sense to us.
But you, dear one, understand.
Which is why you are reading this.
Some of me is me.
Some of me is you.
