New Horizons

In the quiet dawn, she stands
Lowering mountains with gentle hands
For a view she yearned to see
Beyond the peaks, her soul set free

Obstacles turned to paths anew
Rivers, forests, skies of blue
In the transformation, she finds her way
To horizons bright with the light of day

Change embraced, new vistas found
In every step, a sacred ground
The journey’s worth, the vision clear
She sees beyond, with heart sincere

    In her vision,
    mountains stood tall,
    a colossal barricade
    between her gaze
    and the horizon she sought.

So she whispered to the Earth,
    begging it to bow
and make way for her view.

    The Earth obliged,
    mountains bowing low,
    as if in reverence
    to her audacious dream.

    And there it was—
    a panorama unobstructed,
    a canvas of possibilities
    stretching endlessly
    before her curious eyes.

    Now, every sunset
    and every dawn
    painted skies just for her,
    an ever-changing mural
    of her own making.

    And the mountains,
    though humbled,
    found new beauty
    in their lowered peaks,
    a newfound grace
    in giving space.

    Her view was her world,
    but that world
    was shaped by her view.

    We are Space Monkey.
