Soul and Self are lovers
What makes you different from everyone else is your unique relationship between Soul and Self. We seem to be made of both, and both seem to be in love with each other.
Thing is, the soul’s divine love seems to be different from the self’s definition of love. To Soul, love means giving Self ALL experiences, not just pleasant ones, because the soul does not judge like the self does.
To the self, love is only what is viewed as the positive side of the gift registry. Self knows, but does not like to realize, that all experiences are necessary in order to experience what it means to be human.
Self has not learned to love that which it perceives as “negative,” which is why the negative seems to persist. Opposition creates opposition.
Once Self learns to love the negative, the negative shall seemingly merge back into the positive and become the same divine love the Soul knows. Self and Soul shall unite once again, though they were never really separate.
Love thine enemy and thou shalt have no enemies.
