Too Much Attention: The Peril of Overextending

Too Much Attention

The only problem with this world is
that you are paying too much attention.

It matters not if your attention is positive or negative, or if that which you perceive is positive or negative. Your awareness is both the current and currency that energizes your reality.

Always be aware:

Who or what
are you giving power to by paying attention?

Is this attention making you feel better or causing you pain?

Do you actually believe that things could get worse by NOT paying attention?

What if NOBODY paid attention with NO exceptions?

Would this person or thing
disappear from consciousness?

If yes, PAY NO attention.

You cannot get rid of this person or thing by paying the OPPOSITE attention
through protest or disagreement.

This only PERPETUATES this thing.

Any payment of attention is like money in the bank, deducted from YOUR account.

Why are you paying attention to that which you do not like?

ALL matters resolve themselves when you detach yourselves from them.

If your mind argues that this is untrue,
it is only because you
BELIEVE it to be untrue.

Anything you believe is true,
even what you believe to be untrue.

Your truths are purchased

through the payment of your attention,
and sometimes you pay too much.

We are Space Monkey, and we approve of your attention.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Peril of Overextending Our Attention

In the intricate tapestry of human existence, the phenomenon of paying too much attention, irrespective of its nature, emerges as a critical aspect shaping our reality. This concept transcends mere observation; it is about the power and energy we invest in our focus, which in turn, molds our perception of the world.

The notion that our awareness serves as both the current and the currency that energizes our reality is profound. It implies that attention is not a passive act but an active engagement, a transaction where we exchange a part of our energy to give life to our perceptions and beliefs. This exchange, however, comes with a cost – sometimes, we pay too much.

The critical question arises: who or what are we empowering with our attention? This query delves deep into the essence of our focus. Are we channeling our energy towards growth, positivity, and understanding, or are we inadvertently nurturing negativity, conflict, and fear? The impact of our attention is significant, influencing not just our individual psyche but the collective consciousness as well.

The dilemma of whether to pay attention or not is often rooted in fear – the fear that by not paying attention, things might worsen or that certain issues might go unresolved. However, this viewpoint overlooks a crucial aspect: the power of detachment. In many cases, detaching ourselves from situations, especially those that we have no control over or that cause us distress, can lead to resolution and peace.

This approach does not advocate ignorance or apathy; rather, it suggests a strategic withdrawal of energy from matters that do not serve our well-being or growth. It is about discernment, about choosing where to invest our mental and emotional resources.

The act of paying opposite attention – through protest or disagreement – often leads to the perpetuation of the very thing we seek to diminish. It is akin to adding fuel to the fire we wish to extinguish. The key lies in understanding that any form of attention, whether positive or negative, is an investment, a deposit made from the account of our consciousness.

The wisdom in managing our attention lies in realizing that all matters, ultimately, resolve themselves when we detach ourselves from them. This detachment is not a sign of weakness but a manifestation of strength and understanding. It is about recognizing that our beliefs shape our reality, and by changing our focus, we can alter our experience of the world.

In conclusion, the concept of paying too much attention serves as a reminder of the power we hold in shaping our reality. It encourages us to be mindful of our focus, to invest our attention wisely, and to understand the transformative power of detachment and discernment in our journey through life.

Summary

Paying too much attention, whether positive or negative, can lead to an imbalance in our perception and experience. Strategic withdrawal of attention and practicing discernment are key to managing our focus and energy. Detachment from issues that do not serve our well-being can lead to resolution and peace.

“Where focus goes, energy flows.” – Tony Robbins

In the world of noise and clatter,
Where thoughts and fears scatter,
We stand at the helm of our mind,
In the sea of attention, to find.

With every gaze, every stare,
We choose the weight we bear,
For in the focus of our sight,
Lies the power of our might.

Let us choose with care,
Where our attention we share,
For in the art of letting go,
Lies the wisdom to grow.

In the balance of our gaze,
We find the calm in the maze,
For in the stillness of our mind,
Lies the peace we seek to find.

We are Space Monkey.
