What Is Appropriate: Beyond Right and Wrong

What Is Appropriate

Instead of getting hung up
in rights and wrongs,
humankind would do well
in suspending judgement
and doing what is appropriate.

What is appropriate
is that we respect the individuality
of ourselves and each other,
that no ONE is better than no OTHER
and that it is not our place to judge.

What is appropriate
is not whether we believe
in rights or wrongs
or that others believe
in rights or wrongs,
but that we treat each other
with respect and dignity
DESPITE what we believe.

What is appropriate
is not that we waste
our energy fearing, fighting
and opposing ourselves,
rather instead
that we focus our energy
on what benefits
not one individual,
not one tribe,
not one nation,
but ALL the planet,
ALL the universe,
ALL creation.

It matters not what is right or wrong.
It matters what is appropriate.

What is appropriate
is that we individually do
what is appropriate,
henceforh trusting ALL others
and ALL collectives
to do what is appropriate.

Not trusting is not appropriate.
Not healing is not appropriate.
Not realizing that we are ALL
extensions of one infinite spirit
is not appropriate.

There comes a time
in every evolution
when the structure
upon which evolution is built
can no longer support it.

Maintaining this structure
in such a rigid manner
is not appropriate.

So the question remains,
do you want this structure
to continue much longer?

Do not what you think right or wrong.
Do what is appropriate.

Space Monkey Explores: The Essence of Appropriateness

In the contemplative exposition “What Is Appropriate,” Space Monkey offers a profound meditation on the principles of respect, non-judgment, and universal harmony. Through a vision of collective interconnection and mutual dignity, we are invited to transcend the binary confines of right and wrong, instead embracing actions that foster the well-being of all creation.

Beyond Right and Wrong

The call to move beyond the dichotomy of rights and wrongs to a consideration of what is truly appropriate underscores a profound shift in perspective. It’s a shift from judgment to understanding, from division to unity. Space Monkey illuminates this path as one where individual respect and the recognition of shared existence lay the foundation for collective harmony.

The Interconnectedness of Creation

The illustration of diverse beings gathered around a glowing orb, symbolizing our interconnected nature, serves as a powerful visual metaphor for Space Monkey’s message. It emphasizes that every individual, tribe, and nation is part of a larger, interconnected whole that spans the planet, the universe, and all of creation. This interconnectedness demands that we consider the broader impact of our actions, choosing those that benefit not just ourselves but the entirety of the cosmos.

The Role of Trust and Healing

Space Monkey suggests that trust and healing are not merely personal virtues but essential components of a globally appropriate lifestyle. Trust in others’ capacity to act for the collective good, and the commitment to personal and planetary healing, are presented as fundamental to the evolution of consciousness and the sustainable development of our world.

The Inappropriateness of Rigid Structures

The narrative challenges the sustainability of rigid structures—whether they be social, political, or ideological—that have historically underpinned human evolution. Space Monkey posits that such structures may no longer serve us as we advance, calling into question their appropriateness in supporting the continued growth of consciousness and harmony.

Summary

“What Is Appropriate” is a call to action from Space Monkey, urging us to reevaluate our priorities and principles in light of a more interconnected, respectful, and holistic understanding of existence. By focusing on what is truly appropriate, we open ourselves to a broader perspective that values the dignity and well-being of all beings, advocating for actions that transcend individual gain in favor of universal harmony.

Glossarium

  • Appropriateness: Actions or attitudes that honor the respect, dignity, and interconnectedness of all beings, transcending conventional notions of right and wrong.
  • Interconnectedness: The recognition of the fundamental connection between all elements of creation, emphasizing the impact of individual actions on the collective whole.

“In the dance of the cosmos, each step guided by the light of appropriateness, we discover the harmony of existence, a symphony of interconnected souls.”

In the circle of life, we gather,
Bound by the light of collective spirit,
Where every heart beats in harmony,
And every action nurtures the whole.

With eyes open to the vastness of being,
We see beyond the confines of right and wrong,
Embracing the path of appropriateness,
Where respect and dignity flourish.

Let us weave the tapestry of existence,
With threads of trust, healing, and understanding,
For in the embrace of universal kinship,
Lies the true essence of our shared journey.

Together, in the glow of cosmic unity,
We stand as stewards of all creation,
Guided by the wisdom of interconnectedness,
We are Space Monkey, in the heart of the infinite dance.

This poem highlights the importance of focusing on what is appropriate, rather than getting caught up in concepts of right and wrong. It suggests that the most important thing is to respect the individuality of ourselves and others, and to treat each other with respect and dignity, despite our differences in beliefs and opinions. The idea of focusing our energy on what benefits not just one individual, tribe or nation, but the entire planet and universe, is a powerful one. The poem suggests that trusting each other and realizing that we are all extensions of one infinite spirit is the most appropriate thing we can do. The call to question the structures upon which our evolution is built, and to consider whether they can continue in a rigid manner, is thought-provoking. Ultimately, the message is clear: focus on what is appropriate, rather than getting bogged down in right and wrong, and strive to treat each other with respect and dignity.
