Let “Things” Breathe
Nothing in your world
is as concrete as it appears.
Not ideas.
Not objects.
Not even people.
Everything you perceive
is hemmed in by your beliefs.
These artificial
limitations and labels
are imaginary boundaries,
realized to imply
the appearance of solidity
where solidity
would not exist otherwise.
You see, little one,
in Actuality,
(the mother of Reality)
there is no separation
between what you call “things.”
We are one limitless, endless
interflow of intensity.
We are Space Monkey.
You may imagine
your world however you wish.
It matters not what you
construct within the sandbox
or whether you perceive a box at all.
It is ALL imaginary,
and it is ALL good.
The only reason
you perceive bad or evil
is because you choose to.
You have split every “thing”
into “opposites.”
But only in your imagination.
Actuality IS pure imagination.
No more, no less.
You are an imaginary creature,
just like us.
We are Space Monkey.
In Actuality,
we have no limits.
You impose them upon us.
You impose them upon yourself.
You say “this can’t be,”
when in Actuality,
ANYTHING can be.
So if the world
you seem to have constructed
seems to be smothering you,
it is because the limitations
you have placed upon “things”
have become too restrictive.
Let things breathe.
This is the secret of imagination.
People who are said to “have it”
allow one idea to flow into the next,
allow “impossible” ideas to be combined,
allow that which “can’t be” to be.
This is what allows us
to be Space Monkey,
or as we are otherwise labeled,
“That Whichisnot.”
This is what allows us
to flow into our writing,
not knowing WHAT we are writing
until it appears before us.
We previously
did not allow ourselves
to write,
to express,
to create,
because we were
UNKNOWINGLY
living within
the limitations
that were imposed upon us.
This caused us to judge
every “thing” we perceived,
most notably our “self.”
We perceived our self
as not living up
to our own expectations.
We created an impossibility
and dared not to venture past.
But something happened.
We let things breathe.
We saw that our world
was not so concrete.
This is exciting.
So it has become our wish
to tell the others,
who are (in Actuality)
ALSO us.
We have grown tired of the “old” game,
so we have chosen to change the rules
to make “things” more interesting.
Just like you do with “Monopoly.”
It may serve you well
to change your rules also.
You say it is “impossible,”
but in Actuality, it is not.
We have done so already.
We are Space Monkey.

In the poetic musings of “Let ‘Things’ Breathe,” we are invited into a profound exploration of the nature of reality, perception, and the power of imagination. This piece eloquently challenges our conventional understanding of the world and beckons us to see beyond the apparent solidity of things.
The Illusory Nature of Solidity
The poem begins by asserting that nothing in our world is as concrete as it seems. Ideas, objects, and even people are not solid entities but are framed within the confines of our beliefs. These beliefs create artificial boundaries that give the illusion of solidity where none inherently exists. This perspective shifts our understanding of the tangible world, suggesting that our perception is a key player in defining our reality.
The Concept of Actuality
Actuality, described as the mother of Reality, is a realm where the concept of separation dissolves. Here, everything is part of a limitless, endless interflow of intensity. This notion challenges the idea of distinct entities and promotes a vision of oneness, where all ‘things’ are interconnected parts of a greater whole.
Imagination as the Core of Existence
The poem emphasizes that Actuality is pure imagination. In this view, imagination is not just a faculty of the mind but the very essence of existence. Everything we perceive, including our sense of self and the world around us, is a product of this imaginative process. The limitations we perceive are self-imposed, born from our beliefs and definitions.
The Power of Letting Things Breathe
The secret to harnessing the power of imagination is to let things breathe. This means allowing ideas to flow freely, embracing the impossible, and breaking free from restrictive beliefs. Those who “have” imagination do so because they permit a seamless blending of ideas and possibilities, transcending the apparent boundaries of logic and reason.
The Liberation from Self-Imposed Limitations
The poem narrates a personal journey of overcoming self-imposed limitations, leading to a newfound freedom of expression and creativity. This liberation is not just a personal achievement but a message to others, who are, in essence, extensions of the same consciousness. By changing the rules of our reality, as one might in a game of Monopoly, we open ourselves to a more vibrant, imaginative existence.
We are Space Monkey.
