Success With Stress: Chill At Will

If only we could chill at will.

It’s really quite amazing
how many medical conditions
are manifest, to a large degree,
by some sort of internal struggle.

How healthy might you be
without your stress?

Maybe healthy enough
not to need prescriptions,
supplements and meditation.

What’s even more amazing
is what passes for “real” stress.

Jobs.
Deadlines.
Relationships.
Conflicting beliefs.
Feelings. Uncertainty.

If you could eliminate uncertainty
as a cause of your stress,
how healthy might you be?

It seems to me
that the healthiest action
one can take is to get comfortable
with uncertainty.

This is not rocket science.

In a peaceful, surreal landscape, we sit surrounded by the symbols of stress—clocks ticking away, piles of paperwork, and fragmented relationships. If only we could chill at will. It’s truly amazing how many medical conditions are influenced, to a large degree, by some form of internal struggle. Stress, often viewed as an unavoidable part of modern life, manifests in our bodies and minds, affecting our overall health. We might wonder how healthy we could be without this pervasive stress. Would we still need prescriptions, supplements, and meditation if we could eliminate or significantly reduce our stress levels?

What passes for “real” stress in our daily lives is often astonishingly mundane. Jobs, deadlines, relationships, conflicting beliefs, feelings, and uncertainty all contribute to our stress levels. These common aspects of life can create a significant burden, impacting our health and well-being. Yet, if we could address the root causes of our stress, particularly our discomfort with uncertainty, how much healthier might we be?
