A Meditation on Chaos: Peace in the Storm

If I can’t meditate
everywhere I am,
then what is the point?

In my mind,
meditation is not an escape,
but rather a realization.

Like love and peace,
the state is unconditional.

It’s easier
to meditate
with eyes shut,
ears closed,
blocking out
all distraction.

But the world
doesn’t work that way.

So now I meditate
in the midst of chaos,
aware of my distractions,
but not paying mind.

I’ve realized that peace
is just like chaos.
