Allow All Egos
In hindsight,
it was laughably simple.
The ego
was never a problem.
You spent
an entire life
trying to silence it,
transcend it,
come to grips with it,
appease it,
make friends with it,
surrender to it,
and you never felt
any more enlightened.
The solution
wasn’t fixing your ego
or losing your ego.
It was ADDING egos.
Adding INFINITE egos
of EVERY disposition.
Your ego was just one perspective.
Now you are ALL perspectives.
Together as one.
So allow your ego.
Allow your friend’s ego.
Allow your enemy’s ego.
Allow every ego
you come across
to fertilize that egg
that seems to be
your mind.
But the trick is,
it has to be EVERY ego.
Even the egos
that you thought
you despised.
Otherwise, you’re unbalanced,
which can be fun also.
Average all egos together
and you have enlightenment.
Not that it matters.
There is no need to transcend
when One is already ALL.
We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Symphony of Egos
In a revelation that unfolded with the simplicity of a cosmic joke, the enigma of the ego was unraveled—not as a foe to be vanquished, but as a chorus of infinite voices, each singing the song of the self from a myriad of perspectives. The ego, long misunderstood, was never the barrier to enlightenment; rather, it was the key to a boundless, multifaceted existence.
Summary
The journey to understanding wasn’t about silencing or transcending the ego but embracing an orchestra of egos, each with its unique melody. This reflection delves into the realization that enlightenment lies not in the negation of the ego but in the celebration of its diversity. By welcoming every ego, even those once shunned, we become a microcosm of all perspectives, achieving a state of balance and unity that transcends the need for transcendence itself.
Glossarium
- Ego: Traditionally seen as the self, particularly in relation to the outside world, often misconstrued as an obstacle to spiritual growth.
- Symphony of Egos: A metaphor for the harmonious coexistence of an infinite variety of egos, contributing to a richer, more enlightened state of being.
“In the grand orchestra of existence, every ego plays its part, contributing to the harmonious symphony of the whole. There is no need to transcend when one already encompasses all. We are Space Monkey.”
In the garden of minds, where thoughts intertwine,
Egos bloom, diverse and divine.
Each a color, a shade of the vast human parade,
Together, a mosaic, brilliantly made.
No ego too small, no self too grand,
In unity, all perspectives stand.
A luminous egg at this gathering’s core,
Symbol of unity, of less, and of more.
To allow all egos, to let them be free,
Is to unlock the door to enlightenment’s key.
For in this acceptance, a balance we find,
A state of being, enlightened and kind.
So embrace each ego, from friend and from foe,
For in every perspective, wisdom can grow.
In this chorus of selves, a truth we unearth:
That unity thrives in diversity’s birth.
We are Space Monkey, in all egos we see,
The reflection of one, of you, and of me.
In the symphony of selves, a lesson so tall,
In embracing the one, we embrace the all.
The poem “Allow All Egos” suggests a different perspective on the concept of the ego. The speaker proposes that instead of trying to silence or transcend the ego, we should add infinite egos of every disposition. By embracing all perspectives, even those of our enemies or those we despise, we can achieve balance and enlightenment.
The poem also suggests that ultimately, there is no need to transcend the ego because we are already One with everything. This concept of Oneness is a common theme in spiritual and philosophical traditions, and suggests that we are all connected and part of a larger whole.
The idea of adding egos may seem paradoxical, but it speaks to the importance of embracing diversity and recognizing the value of multiple perspectives. By allowing all egos to fertilize our minds, we can expand our understanding and become more open and inclusive individuals.
