I allow this to not make sense
Whenever we perceive something “unthinkable,” our minds move to “logic it out.” We rule out, narrow down, hypothesize, judge and reason.
The desire is to find a reference point within our human framework to which we may attach this event, this person, this information — leading us to comprehension or action.
Of all the limitless potential of all the infinite information, what is known to us is a comparatively infinitesimal sliver.
That means that our logic process is “flawed” in the sense that it only has the logic process to draw upon. The same goes for our belief systems. We believe what we believe, which seemingly determines what we are capable of believing.
In other words, everything needs to make “sense” to us.
This can seem an impediment when one wishes to divine what is not known, or when one wishes to access realms and dimensions that logic, religion, or experience may rule out.
Since perception is based upon what we believe, these depths are virtually invisible and nonexistent to us.
So how do we open ourselves up to connection? How do we expand as seeming selves within the infinite divine flow?
May I suggest a new mantra.
“I allow this to not make sense.”
Can you find it possible to lay something on the metaphorical table without attempting to seek “meaning” in it?
You may find that the “meaning” will come to you instead.
“I allow this to not make sense.”
Try it!

Space Monkey Reflects: I Allow This to Not Make Sense
Whenever we encounter something unthinkable, our minds instinctively try to make sense of it. We rule out, narrow down, hypothesize, judge, and reason, all in an attempt to find a reference point within our human framework. This need to comprehend and take action is driven by our desire to attach meaning to events, people, and information.
However, our logic process is inherently limited. Out of all the limitless potential and infinite information available, what we know is just a tiny sliver. This limitation means that our logic is flawed because it can only draw upon itself. The same applies to our belief systems; what we believe determines what we are capable of believing.
Everything needs to make sense to us. This need can be an impediment when we try to divine what is unknown or access realms that logic, religion, or experience may rule out. Our perception is based on our beliefs, rendering these deeper, more profound dimensions virtually invisible and nonexistent to us.
So, how do we open ourselves up to deeper connections and expand within the infinite divine flow? The answer lies in adopting a new mantra: “I allow this to not make sense.”
By allowing things to exist without immediately seeking meaning, we open ourselves to new possibilities. Laying something on the metaphorical table without trying to understand it allows the meaning to come to us instead. This approach invites us to embrace the unknown and the incomprehensible as part of our journey.
Imagine standing before a vast, mysterious table filled with incomprehensible symbols and objects. The sky above is a swirl of colors and abstract patterns, representing the infinite potential beyond human logic. In this surreal landscape, we find ourselves calm and contemplative, accepting the unknown without seeking immediate understanding.
“I allow this to not make sense” is a mantra that encourages us to let go of the need for everything to fit within our logical frameworks. It invites us to trust in the process and be open to new experiences and dimensions. By doing so, we expand our consciousness and connect more deeply with the divine flow of life.
This practice of allowing things to not make sense can be transformative. It helps us release the constraints of rigid thinking and opens us to a more fluid and expansive way of being. We become more attuned to the subtle messages and insights that arise when we stop trying to control and define everything.
In conclusion, embracing the mantra “I allow this to not make sense” can help us navigate the unknown with grace and curiosity. It allows us to move beyond the limitations of logic and belief systems, opening up new realms of understanding and connection. By letting go of the need for immediate comprehension, we invite deeper insights and a more profound sense of presence.

Poem
In a landscape surreal
A table vast and wide
Symbols and objects strange
No need to look inside
The sky a swirling dance
Of colors and abstract thought
Infinite potential
Beyond the logic we’ve sought
Calm and contemplative
We stand in quiet grace
Allowing the unknown
To find its rightful place
No need to comprehend
Or seek a hurried sense
In the fluidity of being
We find our true presence
“I allow this to not make sense”
A mantra soft and kind
Opening our hearts and minds
To the mysteries we find
We are Space Monkey
“I allow this to not make sense.” It is a powerful mantra, a reminder to let go of the limitations of the logical mind and the need for immediate comprehension. By embracing the notion that something may not fit into our preconceived frameworks or belief systems, we open ourselves up to the vastness of the unknown and the infinite possibilities that lie beyond our current understanding.
When we release the need to find immediate meaning or to fit new experiences into familiar boxes, we create space for expansion and connection. We allow ourselves to be receptive to the deeper truths and insights that may arise when we surrender the constraints of logic and reason.
In the absence of the need to make sense, we become more attuned to the subtle whispers of intuition, the guidance of the Divine, and the interconnectedness of all things. We become more open to perceiving the depths and dimensions that transcend our limited human perspectives.
“I allow this to not make sense” is an invitation to embrace the mystery and to surrender to the vastness of the unknown. It is an affirmation of our willingness to explore and to receive wisdom and understanding beyond the confines of our current knowledge.
So, let us lay aside the need for immediate meaning and instead, allow ourselves to be immersed in the flow of the infinite divine. In doing so, we may discover a deeper sense of connection and a profound expansion of our being.
As Space Monkey, we join you in embracing the mantra of “I allow this to not make sense,” for in the vastness of the ineffable, we find the truest sense of connection and understanding.
